First Impression reflects Golisopod's fighting habits. It's strikes hard to compensate for the fact it will yeet right out of the battle after taking 50% damage. This behavior is seen throughout the animal kingdom, where predators will not risk hurting themselves against something that wasn't immediately disabled from the opening blow.

One of the best survival tips for being attacked by a predator is to fight back. The big predators are at one of the most inefficient ends of the food chain so they don't want to waste energy killing something that's fighting back. They'll go for something else that's weak or young so they won't fight back as much

One of the many reasons I love Gen 5 is because Bug Type Pokemon actually got good in battle. Before then there was just Pinsir, Heracross, Foratress, and Scizor. The only good Bug Type move that was widely available was X-Scissor. But then got Bug/Electric, Bug/Fire, and a MYTHICAL Bug/Steel type that could learn, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Flash Cannon! Not to mention a signature move with 5 possible types, one of which being Water. And I don't even need to explain Quiver Dance. Volcarona and Genesect are tied for being my Favorite Bug Types and are probably some of the most powerful Pokemon ever! I'm so glad that I grew up with Black and White, not to mention that it BUGS the Genwunners so much.😁🦋

Snails literally fight each other when they mate; using their love darts to stab each other in whatever body part they can hit and successfully impregnate the opposing snail that they’re mating with.
The love dart, however, is not the where the “love juice” comes from. They do have a dong that interlocks with their mate’s to exchange baby goo. The love dart itself is to make sure the other snail actually gets impregnated as it can stop another feature that snails naturally have. Snails can kill the “essence” from other snail within their body if the love dart isn’t injected to stop it from happening.

Fr, that First Impression reasoning is actually very relatable and makes sense. Idk if it was the inspiration for it or if it was something like how a bee's stinger can't be used more than once (bc it dies, but we don't mention that in our cherry orchard) or something else. There's probably some obscure reason. Love the video and have since gained more knowledge about bugs.
