- I had our fifth baby here at home without any assistance, and while it was a long and unpredictable labor, it went so well and I wouldn't change a thing!

Congratulations!! I know for a fact if you had been in the hospital they would have pushed you to get a c-section because you weren’t “progressing” as fast as they thought you should have been. This is just proof that we need to chill out and let our bodies do their thing!! On a different note, I’d love for you to continue to share your knowledge on pregnancy and birth. You are so knowledgeable and there just aren’t a lot of channels out there who can so eloquently talk about these topics. More women need to be empowered and informed in making their own choices when it comes to their labor and delivery.
The C-section I had twenty-one years ago was out of necessity. Physically. Before I went home, I had a staph infection. Yeah!
Congratulations
@@TracieSmithpomeranianI know exactly what you mean I had mine 35+ years ago and it was because they had a time table! 😢. Thankfully my own daughter knows her body well and her and her husband won’t let them do a c-section unless it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary. Her last birth they were pushing towards it and my son inlaw said is this necessary? Can’t we just wait and give it more time? So they did and she gave birth to a gorgeous little granddaughter and in July the next one is on the way and this Grandma is super excited again! What a blessing!! ❤️🥰🍁🙏🏻🇨🇦
👍🌷
Once the water breaks I can understand doctors wanting to go faster because once the water breaks there is risk of infection but until then I just don’t see the rush. That’s why I think women should labor at home for as long as possible because once you go to the hospital they want to put you on a monitor and so on.
I so so admire how unfazed you are at every stage of having a baby. How intune you are with your body and your baby. Im so blown away by your strength of character in not having any interference in your baby's birth. That you allow yourself to be just you and your baby having the experience together. I think it's absolutely beautiful 😊
A baby borne of laughter, he will be the bringer of joy and smiles to everyone he meets in his life ❤
Congratulations! I never had a baby, but it's clear to me that I don't want to give birth in a hospital-for several reasons. I absolutely admire the amount of confidence you have in this matter. I understand you were a nurse, and it's also your personality type, but it still amazes me how you handle these situations. It is such a natural process and yet society and medical professionals try to convince you that it is a disease you don't know anything about it and you need them to guide you!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
“My contractions were super strong, so I got up and made pancakes” 😂😂 it is so amazing how much strength the Lord gives us mothers and also how much we don’t even realize it
I’m 37 weeks and I’m watching this and other home birth videos to prepare myself emotionally and mentally.
This is my 9th baby but I need these reminders of our strength our endurance our God given abilities to bring these beautiful babies into the world
Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤
Congratulations! I'm a single older guy with no plans for having kids, but I love to hear a story like yours. My point being, is that we are not alike in that regard but very much respect your journey, and contribution to society.
Love homebithing!!!!! I loved my wonderful midwives that sat and knitted in the corner until I said I'm ready to deliver...such precious memories 💖
"Congratulations!" "He is adorable!" I love the little newborn noises! What a miracle!❤👣❤️So happy he's here! Awesome job Mama!🤗
My second baby had a cord over 3ft long too. He had the cord wrapped around his neck 4 times and he was purple and not breathing when he came out. It was a hospital induction birth and it was a horrific experience. He is a happy and normal 11 year old boy now.
Congratulations!! I also have a week old baby as well. She came out at 41 + 2. My second VBAC! It’s such a blissful and amazing time. Thank you for sharing this experience with all of us❤
Congratulations to you as well 💐 Blessings from Michigan
Congratulations! He's absolutely beautiful! Very interesting birth story! I had my 5th last November!
😊
For any mama's considering drinking castor oil, you don't need to do that! Take a generous handful of it and massage it in circles on your tummy then put a towel over it to keep it from getting messy and reapply as needed every couple hours! Castor oil penetrates deeply and putting it on your tummy like that won't make you have uncontrollable diarrhea
Congrats Mama! Thanks so much for sharing! I’m currently 40w 1d & this is such an encouragement to hear. We’re having an unassisted birth as well & I’m going to have my husband listen to your story.
Welcome to the world Freddy!
Blessings for a beautiful smooth experience with a happy healthy baby.
May this message find you and baby well ❤ Hoping you and your husband had an amazing birthing experience!
Unassisted birth is dangerous mainly because anything can go wrong even if you don’t think it can and then what?
@@nancyfarkas3592 usually people who plan an unassisted birth don’t do so blindly. They educate themselves & their partners on all the variables, how to handle them at home & when to seek medical attention. Most people live close enough to a hospital to get there if needed.
But the truth of the matter is, hospitals often cause the many things that go wrong.
Undisturbed birth (by an educated person) is safest in my opinion.
@@naturekat3 it was perfect! Our sweet girl was born perfectly healthy & alert Easter morning at 530am!!
Yep 2 membranes! Some clear waters are no worries and no reason to rush 😊 way to go Steph 🙌🏼 this is why birth education matters and is a huge part of good birth support!
Congratulations Steph 🥰🥰🥰 you are a real Wild Woman who has a knowing that has been taken away from woman due to the controlled medical industry. I live vicariously through you dreaming of what could have been for me when I had my kids 30 years ago. I love that you teach the next generations to become empowered with their own inner knowledge that is there buried deep inside our soul. Enjoy your divine little man……thanks for sharing 🙏🥰
Unrelated but that bed!! The design is to die for!
Wow girl you are a super mom! I haven't even watched the video ...just saw it pop up with you holding your little one. ❤ 🎉congratulations! What a beautiful blessing.
Omgg I kept saying “same” throughout the video 😆 I had a very peaceful home birth & I was in labour for 36hrs. Turned out her cord was around her neck 3 times too!! Now I know why it took so long for her to come out 😆 congratulations!! 🎈
What a wonderful story! Back in my day a home birth simply wasn't done. Nursing wasn't even acceptable. I was stubborn and didn't tell anyone I was in labor until my water broke so that I would be left in peace. Unfortunately, I am one who needed urgent medical intervention with serious complications. We must remember that all births are different and not judge one another. I'm so glad you are open and shared your experience with us❣️
Why what happened to you?
I love that you’ve used your medical training to your advantage and you know what to look for during birth.
I remember when you posted your home birth for Ernie ❤ such a blessing to see another successful home birth! Congratulations on your new baby 🎉
Congratulations 🎈
I’m due in 4 weeks with baby #4!
I’ve had all of mine with the same midwife who is so great I can’t imagine having a baby without her!
I actually live in an airbnb for the time being just so she can be at my birth!
She’s a Christian and had 12 kids herself and always let me do my thing with every birth.
With my first baby she saved me from having a hospital birth when I didn’t know better you know :)
God bless you and your family! 😊
So proud of you, Steph, for allowing your body to do what God designed it to do. I'm 65 and had my last 3 in a time when women were given no say in trying vaginal birth after C-section, so I really enjoyed hearing your birth story and have to tell you I believe you to be the first Mom I've ever heard tell of her deliberate, unassisted home birth! 🥰 Congratulations to you all on the birth of Freddie! Looking forward to watching him grow right along with your other children. God's blessings be upon you and your household, and a very blessed Happy Easter wish to you all! 🙏🌷🪻❤
Awww Steph! I had a couple people comment on my channel to come watch this because I JUST released my home birth video last week and I too had a triple nuchal cord!!! I'm so glad your birth went well. Enjoy this postpartum bliss!!
Congratulations!!!
What a beautiful birth story!! Little Freddie is just adorable!! 🎉
Like the others who have commented, I, too, am in awe of your strength and confidence in childbirth. To me, this is the way childbirth should be. Relaxed, in a quiet, dark room at HOME.... Like, seriously, who can rest/LABOR in a hospital with all the noises and the revolving door of people constantly in/out of your room??
Big props to you for doing things YOUR WAY!! And, if I'm not mistaken, what I think I heard you say is that you acted as your own midwife. Very inspiring!
What a calm, brave, supermom you are!!
My mother-in-law, who is now almost 80 years old, was born at home, and she weighed 14 lbs.
Her Momma delivered her just fine, with no complications.
I had my planned unassisted home birth as well 5 days ago my first born❤️❤️❤️congratulations to you mama. We can do this. 🙏🏽
Omg that's absolutely outstanding....I nearly had one bc my midwife couldn't find parking and it was just the doula here and her hair was already visible haaa. Congratulations I'm sure you have an amazing story to tell
My heart is melting!!!! Welcome, baby!
Welcome to the world, Freddy! Congratulations!
I love this! I had a stroke when I went into labor with my first, so I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’ll never be able to have the experience I wanted. Stories like this give me hope that my daughter will have it better than I did!
That beautiful dream was from the Lord in the Old Testament God spoke through visions and dreams and even to the king who didn't even serve God or necessarily believe at the time until later 🙏🏾
. How beautiful the Spirit of God spoke to you so clearly saying get ready baby is coming soon❤ ❤️☺️☺️ bless your channel I've learned some tips from you and i want a at home birth one day so I'm excited to watch ☺️🙌🏾
Congratulations on your new baby!! ❤
congratulations!!! Happy Birthday Freddy!
What a beautiful birth story. Congratulations! What a blessing you are so informed and able to do this at home. I had my babies at home with a traditional midwife, and I began training as a traditional midwife. However, my marriage wasn't good, and I knew I had to be able to support myself and 2 kids on my own, so I became an L & D nurse. It is such a mess of interventions in the hospital. Who knows what crazy outcome would have occurred. I retired early due to injuries on the job and I realize how much I missed the natural process of home birthing and following our instincts. Beautiful Blessings to little Freddie and your family 💞
Congratulations Stephanie! Loved hearing baby Freddy’s birth story. 🩵 another beautiful addition to your family!
A VERY CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! May God Bless you and the baby!!!!
❤ you’re my hero! Congratulations Stephanie!
Ohh my gosh how wonderful! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
So Happy for you!!!! Many blessings! You look so beautiful!!! Thank you for posting!!!
This is so unbelievably exciting!!!!❤🎉 Congratulations! You’re such a rockstar momma and so inspiring by. Y’all’s baby boy is an absolute angel. Thanks so much for including us with your journey and sharing the details.
Congratulations!!!❤ your little boy is adorable!!!😊😊
I too worked in hospitals and nursing homes for 45 yrs lol. When you mentioned mRSA, i felt my face crinkle up. That horrific smell just never leaves your memory. Not only the smell, but the knowledge that if one patient has it, it has already spread and you won't be getting ANY respite from it for probably weeks. Ugh i don't miss that!!
CONGRATS!!! Sending many prayers from Northern Canada!!!
Beautiful baby! Congratulations Steph,so happy for you. God bless you and your family xxxx
That’s an awesome story. I love how informed and calm you are.
Blessings to you and your whole family on the birth of your newest little one. Hearing his cute cooing during the video just melted my heart. The miracle of conception, pregnancy and birth are such a blessing and gift from God, our creator. I'm glad you were able to fully enjoy the process of your cute little one's birth quietly and peacefully at home. I'm sure we all look forward to seeing him bundled up with you in upcoming videos.
Congratulations on your little Fredrick’s arrival!! I loved your story about your birth….many blessings to your whole family🙏!
Congratulations on the newest addition to your family! He’s beautiful and you look incredible. Both of mine also had super long cords and I had the triple nuchal thing with my first too, it was a non issue as you said. God bless and enjoy these magical postpartum moments, nothing beats them.
Absolutely everything about this delivery, With my 6 kids, I had 2 home births & loved them. I think it's so sad the scare that is engrained in women that home birth is dangerous! My opinion..my 2nd was born 3 months early, just what happened to that pregnancy & yes he had to be born in a hospital. The doctors told me to never have anymore babies cause the same thing would happen. My 3rd-6th were all born just fine & again if I new what I know now, I would have done things even more natural with my last 3. I'm so glad your sharing these stories, ladies to know it's ok to do home births like this.
I never get tired of birth stories. Congratulations on your baby boy!
Congratulations! I've been patiently waiting for an update with your lil'handsome! So happy for you and your family. God Bless!
Congratulations! May God bless baby Freddy, you and your family! 🎉❤
It truly is so cool to hear about your births, and your overall knowledge. I love the details of birth! It was so cool to hear that you could feel and know that one layer of your sac burst first, to having a triple nuchal cord, to having a cord so long you could use it help deliver the placenta (that awesome tip about the cord is one I’ve never heard before and that’s great info!) You are such a fierce mama, I love your strong convictions and your trust in your God-given intuition, you’re inspiring!
God bless you and yours and I hope your postpartum is restful and pleasant ❤
Congratulations! So glad to hear things went so well! Enjoy that beautiful family 🙏🏻
Big Congratulations on your precious new 'gift'! Welcome little Freddie to the world! Thanks so much for sharing all this info, great job! Blessings to you and your family.
Congratulations to your beautiful birth of baby Freddy! Loved your birthing story. I’m sure you and the family are just loving him up!
Congratulations 💙 You are one strong lady having an unassisted home birth, I’m sure your experience in healthcare gave you the confidence in doing so. My baby days are long over ( I’m 57) but had they not been I would totally want to deliver this way. It’s exactly how it’s suppose to be….in a relaxed state of mind, resting, listen to your body and enjoying the experience in a peaceful space. I thought I had done a great job with only 6 hours from beginning to end (in a hospital) with no drugs but you my dear crushed it! Many blessings to you and your beautiful family.
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you for sharing your natural and wonderful story. So many women need this assurance and information. So important to trust your instincts and listening to your body. Such a warrior mama! ❤
Congratulations!! You are so inspiring and I’m so thankful I found your channel ❤
Aww congratulations! What a precious little one!
What a beautiful story. Congratulations!!!! Beautiful baby boy.
Omg....how beautiful! Thank you for sharing your newest blessing...prayers
Congratulations on this new blessing! I have 6 children and they were all hospital births. Im envious of your experiences being able to really trust your own body and go through the process. I always had so many interventions even though I delivered them all naturally. It was always so traumatic! Its so beautiful what our bodies can do. God Bless Frederick!
Congratulations!!! 🎊🍾🎉 happy you had a wonderful delivery and baby’s safe arrival!
Congratulations on your precious baby boy! Such a blessing! ❤️

Awwww sweet baby , Congrats to You & Your family on the new sweet baby boy !
What a beautiful story. I’m 60 years old and never had children. This birth story was so comforting and natural. Thank you for sharing. God bless you. I pray that if you have anymore children, that you continue to have the birth ther you want. Much love.
I am so glad you got to have this baby at home! I know how intervened birth is in the hospital, especially anytime anything is slightly varied from “normal“. We just had our third earthside baby in December. He is first boy and first born at home and we are so grateful to have gone this route. Praying blessings for you and your family during this sweet and sensitive time. ❤
So happy for you and your family! He is perfect and you are so strong and calm 🩵
Congratulations, wonderful birth story, brave mama. Blessing sent
