Amazing video, Parker & Landon! I am extremely humbled to see myself mentioned on this channel. Thanks for all the knowledge you've shared over the years. As a person who never attended a formal film school, it's videos just like this that helped me learn and grow my own business. Keep crushing! 👏
They helped you grow your skill set, dudes like you that inspire smaller people like me, it’s the circle of creativity.
Hey daniel, been a fan since the early days of your channel. Im a starting filmmaker doing a education in filmmaking and im planning to buy some lighting. Could you recommend me a light to buy?? I was thinking about an apurature 120d. Thanks!
Daniel Schiffer you guys gotta collab sometime soon!
Daniel Schiffer I am your subscriber and a fan.👍🏻
GOAT
Never thought I'd be mentioned in a video like this.
I am so grateful for all the tips that Daniel and James has been providing here on CZcams, without them I'd never be able to shoot the way that I do!
Great to see that you inspire others with videos like this!
@AlexVargassAlaska yeah man your right!
you, Daniel, James, Fulltime Filmmaker, and the other "epic b-roll" people are the people I have learned THE MOST from. I like the "epic b-roll" trebd SO much because I learn the most from them in the shortest amount of time. Seeing someone execute a shoot from start to finish and explain the process DURING it is the best kind of educational content. It's the most learning in the most compact amount of time. It's basically like digital job shadowing. I greatly appreciate all you guys who do it, even though I'm sure it gets tiring and somewhat repetitive to do.
Thanks for all that you do Peter. You're officially an OG with these guys. Can we get ...You, Daniel, James, and Parker in on a collab project. 🔥🔥🍺🍺
Love this humbleness, creators supporting and encouraging others ✨✨
I know some people get angry that this “Epic B-Roll” stuff is trendy rn but I personally love to see creators inspired by other creators. Shoutout to Daniel and James for pioneering this but also shoutout to you guys for adding your own flare. Lovin the video so far!
ya everyone's raging about it and "tired of it." But honestly I like them SO much because I learn the most from them in the shortest amount of time.
It's the most learning in the most compact amount of time.
This video was fantastic! So much solid information. Thanks for the love 🙌

Would u use auto focus or manual?
@@jojo890xd4 try with manual first.. auto might be little jumpy
@@Itr-tv7kt thank you man
Bold of you to assume my potato had I/S
You should collaborate with Daniel Schiffer.
Mystic Productions thought the same thing as soon as I seen this! Had Daniel’s style all over it! He’s a master when it comes to this work. Plus being an fcpx editor instead of the norm w premier
Eric Gurnitz I agree! He is a master at what he does. A one of a kind guy.
Mystic Productions let’s not leave out James Matthews. If you haven’t heard of him..another one I highly recommend following with the same style
Eric Gurnitz Okay, i’ll check him out right now!😄
Amen to that 🙏🏾
great video guys! I was just finishing a video about B Roll and landed here after, and I am glad I did. Very well explained.
This Full-time Filmmaker team has probably taught me more about cinematography in the last few weeks then all my prior studies combined!! Keep it up guys and thank you!
Gotta give credit to James Matthews first! ♥️
This community going better and better!

@@landonbtw make it up to him in the next video. You know he's watching this. 🥺
Love the tip to use the finger to glide against surfaces. Havent heard that one before and I'm gonna put it to use! Also bigups for shouting out Daniel Schiffer. He's a beast!
James Matthew is a beast
He's the real "god father" of handheld close and wide style
True, Bossshh
I hope u meant "is not a beast"

Good job Landon, well done video. But that peach/protien powder/water jug commercial with the fox logo is still my favorite from you; perfect music choice in that promo 👌🏼
Something I learnt with shots that for example move closer to the subject making it come into focus, is to start the shot up close and in focus, drag out leaving it out of focus, then reverse in post.
This is so relaxing to watch 😍
Thanks a million ...I can't wait to start failing and failing and failing ... before finally failing all the way to success 😊👍

that is solid stuff really great video super helpful particularly about lens choice and how that helps not only get wider field of view to ensure get the subject in frame but also for it helping to hide those hand held shots micro shakes - super stuff !
