Lou Ferrigno was in the World Strongest man competition on ESPN, so there is the ability to see verified weight lifts for him. Seems you may have under researched this
From Colombia, for me Lou Ferrigno is the only and real incredible Hulk...
I do believe Lou Ferrigno was considerably stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger. First Lou competed in a Worlds Strongest Man competition because , he puts it, "Nobody knew just how strong I am!" Arnold never competed in those world competitions, just a few small Individual Lifting competitions...In his book "Arnold - The Education of a Bodybuilder" Arnold talks about competing in a Rock Lifting Competition, for which he WON the completion...I believe he stated the rock weighed 700 pounds? But don't quote me on that figure? Because it's been years since I read it...The rock may have weighed more like 500 pounds? I just don't remember exactly...
But considering Lou's belief in his own strength, and the shear size of the man (by the way, my brothers and I met Lou Ferrigno in person back in the 90's while preparing for his MR Olympia---He said he was 330 pounds at 8% body fat ..He was huge), I confidently believe he was Stronger than Arnold!!
In 1974 I was the spotter for the Vietnam Veterans against the War Special Olympics Weight Lifting team. I drove the team to Campaign, Illinois for the competition. Bob Wieland was the and also a competitor. Both his legs were blown off at the thighs. Before that happened he stood 6'2in. Without his legs he was 2'10in and he weighted over two hundred pounds. He could press 3 times his body weigh and did at the competition. Because he had no legs for leverage, he used a thick leather strap across the top of his thighs to hold himself to the bench. The officials disqualified him after the lift. Saying the strap gave him advantage when it did not. He was pushing with is arms straight from the chess. Without the strap he would have flipped over. He was done a great dishonor. So unofficially Bob Wieland beat them both. Three times Arnold's weight would be 750lbs and Lou would have to press 825lbs. Just some triva unknown. Bob walked across America on his hands. Four million, 900,006 steps from California to the WHITE HOUSE. President Reagan called "Mr.Inspiration ".
@@thelmajohnson985 thanks for sharing your experience with this incredible man.
Lou was an absolute monster!! I loved watching The Incredible Hulk when I was a kid.
Same mate, the pilot episode was great.
Me too, Lou has always been my favorite because of the Hulk & because of his height & mass! Standing next to monsters he made them not so impressive.
Lou was big, but Arny put BB on the map, I read everything he wrote.
@Gavin Donahue Gavin?
Watch Lou in the car flipping race and the car carrying race as well as others. These were events where he was against professional strongmen and powerlifters. He did exceptionally well in many of the events and beat the trained strongmen at some of their own events. For a walk on bodybuilder, who supposedly trains for physique, not strength and athletic performance, it was an incredible showing. Ton of respect for Lou.
I remember those competitions Lou was a beast, and so was ken petera WWF wrestler at the time
I bet that with preparation he could lift all your respect.
Dude, he was 6'5", 315lbs in competition and probably walked around significantly heavier. It can't be much of a surprise that he was strong.
Lou was truly a HULK.
Daniel …I absolutely agree with what you say that is an absolute astonishing accomplishment to walk on an outdo most of thos guys
For the pilot episode of 'The Incredible Hulk,' Lou was supposed to flip a car after his first transformation into 'The Hulk.' When the hydraulic ram that was being used to turn the car over failed, Lou just flipped the car himself without any assistance.
@Bolt electric⚡️ flipping a car is still amazing tho. I'm not sure arnold could do the same thing unless it's peak arnold
@Bolt electric⚡️ Arnold is the world's greatest bodybuilder, to be sure, but I think Lou is stronger overall. Lou and Franco were both in the World's Strongest Man competion, but I don't remember seeing Arnold there. Ever. Also, I don't remember Franco ever winning any events in the WSM competions at all, while Lou won the rebar bending contest and the car deadlift.
Having just watched this clip (there's a storm going on), can't see any hydraulic ram, jack or other assistance under the car as Ferrigno lifts it. Just empty space. Unless it's been edited out (there are no signs and this video is pretty old) then the Hulk simply grabbed underside of car, lifted, and pushed up, turning the car over and down the hill. It does look like an unassisted lift and toss.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
@Bolt electric⚡️ Except this is about Lou and Arnold. Try to keep up.
I met Lou at my gym in 1974. I was 19 and had just joined that gym (the gym was 'community gym'). I didn't believe a few of the members that indicated Big Lou would be coming in to train very early in the morning. Till one day on a Tuesday, a big shadow appeared and he came. I froze in place to see him walk past me to go down stairs to the locker room. I went down to the locker room to get a dime for the parking meeter. I saw Lou take off his blue jeans to put on his shorts. His leg came out in sections, like 5 loafs of Italian bread pressed together, with calves that looked like two huge grapefruits on each leg. I tried not to stare, grabbed my 10 cents and ran back up the stairs.
His training routine was explosive and was louder than his screams in the 'Pumping Iron' movie. I didn't know that he was hard of hearing. A few weeks later I got the courage to say hello and shake his hand. He had a great attitude and would keep to himself. An older member in his 60's teased Louie and asked "Louie, do you think you'll ever get as big as me?". Louie replied with a smile "I'll never look like you"... Everyone laughed. He's a cool dude!
When he left for the "Hulk" series, everyone in the gym started calling me 'Little Louie'... I was the tiny version of him... great memories!
Just met Lou yesterday at my work! Was so excited when he came shopping in my store, couldn't believe my eyes--it was my childhood hero Hulk! Was a very nice man, and when I asked to take a pic with him he genuinely seemed delighted. Made my year.
He was pleasant? Must have finally dropped the steroids
bs
@@tylersays- He probably did. He didn’t look as ginormous as usual, but still not certainly small. Back to a normal huge for a normal person
@@zedone8253 Aight believe whatever you’d like to believe. I have selfies with him that say otherwise, wish there was a way to share that with you on here.
@@zedone8253 lol someone's jealous... why would he lie about meeting the guy?.. give me a break man
At a very lean 325lbs in competition it is easy to believe he did those numbers. That is a lot of lean body mass even for his tall frame.
@Thor Odinson No sometimes he was. Some guys even say he weighed 330 pounds or more. 😲😲😱😱🤯🤯🤯
@@marcodinobile3644 he didn't do any competition in the 80s 😂
@@bertrandronge9019 and he did one competition in the '80s that was Helsinki Olympia where he finished like 11th or 12th place he actually looked incredible his chest his calves his thighs really did look at the best he ever had and I believe his body weight was about 296
Lou was incredibly strong and I think he's lived in the shadow of Arnold Schwarzenegger. As Arnold claimed Lou should have continued and Lou would have won many bodybuilding championship titles. He definitely deserved to be cast as the incredible Hulk and Hercules. No matter what these 2 are the legendary bodybuilders that will be talked about till the end of time. Arnold though will be arguably the greatest action hero star and Lou Ferrigno will always be recognized as the Hulk.
Just my two cents. Everyone at the time, including Lou, did live in the shadow of Arnold. He was the Weiders favourite obviously. Lou had serious issues with his relationship to his father, and to himself. There's an interview somewhere where he talks about it. His father was controlling and demeaning towards Lou.
Big Louie was obviously a powerhouse and no doubt was capable of those numbers even if they were never officially recorded.
Yeah I believe them, they aren’t the type of people to lie about lifts
@@schmalz1385 I really wouldnt think so either.
I don't think so at all. Specially not on the squat well and even less on the deadlift... like Lou was at Ronnie level on the deadlift ? Seriously ?
@@bertrandronge9019 What's the matter with you? NO ONE said Lou was as strong as Ronnie so quit making crap up. However, Lou Ferrigno was massive at 315 Lbs. in contest shape so no doubt he was very strong. Go back to bench pressing your 135 Lbs. and stay out of adult conversations.
@@CaneFu Sorry old man, it seems that after loosing the ability to walk on your own without a cane, you lost the ability to understand numbers... If Ronnie destroyed his own body by doing 800 for 2 reps, and you believe that Lou was really able to deadlift 850, it imply that you believe that Lou was able to deadlift as much as Ronnie. What's the matter with you old delusional man ?
Lou is just exceptional and unique. There was no competition good enough to show case all he could do. In a league of his own as they say...
The golden era of bodybuilding. The icons who started it all. I think Lou could have won Mr Olympia the next year after he lost to Arnold.
I believe them both, because at my strongest, I benched 440, deadlifted 500, squat 550, and I could leg press 1,200. And I’ve never looked like either one of them. If I could do it as a 250 lb. football player and soldier, they certainly could…
Shut up dont lie no name
According to Arnies training partner in the early 70s , his best bench press was about 400. Congrats you beat him. Looks really don’t matter. Mike McDonald bench pressed 522 while weighing 181 lbs. He didn’t even look like he lifted weights!
Sure you did.
You just wanted to tell us your lifts
My dad got into lifting weights for a bit when Lou and Arnold were the biggest names (and bodies) in bodybuilding. Like Lou, my dad was 6'5. Many years later, when watching a replay of the inaugural World's Strongest Man competition (then called World's Strongest Men) with my dad, he said the following when the Lou readied himself for an attempt during the car lift competition: "With all the heavy squats I've seen him do (referring to magazine photos), he's gotta win this event." Sure enough, he did, even beating former deadlift world record holder Jon Cole.
In general, bodybuilders strength-train cyclicly. Lou and Franco were retired from bodybuilding at the first WSM, and neither was in great shape. Franco was 2 lbs less than his last Olympia weight, and Lou was only 3 lbs heavier than his last Olympia weight. Many others were also notably under par: George Frenn, Jon Cole, Ken Patera, and probably Mike Dayton. The only two in good shape were Bob Young and Bruce Wilhelm, and that was because they were not as far removed from being in competition shape. No competitors in the first WSM trained much in preparation for the event. Don Reinhoudt was so far removed from being in his powerlifting shape that he declined an invitation, and Jon Cole replaced him. The bottom line is that the first WSM competition was not a good indicator of much. That said, the points system was different back then (not every athlete scored just because they showed up), and this made winning an event that much more important. Big Louie won two events (bar bend and car lift). That was all but enough to get him into the tug-of-war finals!
Now, with regards to the squat controversy, I'll say this: at one point, Jon Cole squatted 901 lbs RAW in competition. IIRC, he only mustered 576 lbs on the contraption they used. Bob Young--who finished second to Don Reinhoudt two years later by lifting 917 lbs on a much better apparatus--won the event with a lift of 626 lbs. Again, to put this in perspective, Wilhelm, Patera (who had an injured back during much of the competition), Frenn, and Cole all squatted 800 lbs or more in competition. The depth to which they squatted on the device wasn't deep, and really favored shorter guys like Franco--he barely went down to complete the lift. Louie had to go down much further than anybody else, which made a difference because it was clear that contraption was unwieldy.
All in all, I believe that at one point (or maybe a few points), Big Louie was able to bench press about 550 lbs, squat well over 600 lbs (he would not have been terribly athletic if his bench was more than his squat), and deadlift at least 800 lbs. Keep in mind, before the leg press became popular and ergonomically impactful, bodybuilders squatted to gain overall size at first, and then used partial squat variations to retain leg mass because full squatting tended to distort aesthetics as it made the waist blocky. Tall, somewhat lanky people are not naturally good at squatting, so if they don't keep up on it, what they've gained will drop off fast.
All true! Great points and analysis. I’m 72 now and was a bodybuilder and competed in local events in the late 70’s. Jon Cole was an animal and he had great respect for Lou even though Lou wasn’t training for powerlifting competitions.
I think John Cole owned a bodyshop in Arizona
Very interesting and thank you for this information.
I know Lou was a big favorite of mine and all of my friends loved the incredible Hulk series
Body Building was Never about Strength.
It was a journey of principled aesthetics.
truth the Body builders are not as strong as 1 would think they are a lot of gymnasts are stronger than body builders for their size
@@coryferguson8234 My brotherinlaw was a Tour de Swiss participant and he was also Swiss Military, very strong and trained in self defense.

I loved the comparison and l believe Lou was more than capable of making those lifts he placed 4th in the world's strongest man which was incredible....l met Lou several times at different events in the bodybuilding world l have no doubt of his incredible strength....great guy
Arnold was proportional a better body builder, but Lou was a much more powerful man. I’ve seen interviews with body builders from that era who talked about how strong Lou was.
Serge Nubret himself once said Lou was without a doubt the physically strongest bodybuilder he ever competed against.
Arnold said of Lou that if he hadn't stopped competing and taken the Hulk gig he would have been unstoppable. Lou looked like he was just a little less defined and dry than Arnold but with refinement he could have been Mr. Universe.
I agree, He was the Hulk!
Lou was the Hulk because of his height. Look it up...they wanted Arnold, but he wasn't tall enough for the part
I think you mean Mr. Olympia. Lou won the Mr. Universe twice, but never the Olympia.
Arnold and Lou were great for body building back in the day, Both were great .
Lou did not get the recognition he should have in 1993. No one can say that he didn’t look good. The man was a beast and everyone else look looked 2 sizes smaller. Truly his best form. What a shame.
2 Legends either way and another great review. Lous come back body was one of the greatest physics (and his best) given his 6’5 frame.
I have always loved Lou, first for overcoming his hearing issue. And then for his friendliness. He seems so down to earth. Then, of course, his strength. He is an amazing man for all these reasons. Someone to admire and look up to.
Lou was always grossly underrated. The judges ripped him off on several occasions.
Agreed
Lou was and is still my Favorite of all time.
two vary strong men. and they built that strength with hard work.
Lou has always been my favorite between him and Arnold. His always positive outlook just made me appreciate him more.
Another great video thanks for doing this comparison
Thank you again
Overall Lou was stronger, no ifs or buts about it.
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT LOUFERRIGNO AS HIMSELF IS So MUSCULAR!
Lou Ferrigno you will forever be the best bodybuilder and The only Incredible HULK. You may have not won Mr. Olympia even after you made a come back. But you have the title for being the most favorite HULK from millions of kids, teenagers and young men around the world. I'm so glad I got to meet you back in 1992.
We can't be sure about Lous prs, but I have to admit, that sometimes I like his physique even more than Arnolds. Lou has a lot better proportions when it comes to lateral and rear delts!!! And his legs are better in my opinion!
And every single episode of King of Queens with Ferrignos appearance is funny as hell!
Definitely 👍
also his abs
True. Sadly got robbed of the 1975 Mr Olympia
@@Poopopotamusgaming No, The better man won that night.
My hat gos off to Lou !!!! He was my childhood hero, as the Incredible HULK!!!! He never ever gave up against Arnold, S. That's dedication!!!! Long live the Hulk!!! 😜😜😎😎👍👍🥇🎩🇨🇦🤨
Given the fact that we're comparing a bodybuilder at his peak in 75 to a bodybuilder at his peak in the mid 90s, I don't really doubt the difference. The bench and deadlift seem a bit heavy compared to the WRs at the time but at that bodyweight, it's hard to imagine a bodybuilder not being able to squat 300 kg.
Lou was around 40 when he made his comeback I highly doubt he done the lifts at this age they were probably in the 70s
@@ryan7449 Why would he be weaker when he was that much bigger? You can keep peak strength into your early 40s (maybe even later) if you stay injury free and keep your mass.

The Pioneers of modern Bodybuilding .
Lou and Franco did great at WSM77' 💪
Shame Columbu had an injury, if I remember correctly. P4P beast!
Yes, Franco blew out his knee doing the refrigerator carry... They got rid of that stupid event afterwards.
I remember Franco's comment.."I don't know how these big guys can be so strong" He himself was fantastically strong for his size.
Pinch of salt with the salt bae clip was hilarious! 😂
Pleased you liked that!
Lou was a competitor in the early world strongest man contest along with Franco Columbu.
As is stated and shown in the video
Lou was gigantic in his comeback phase. He makes his earlier competition physique look natty.
The quintessential classic battle! A great video as always Strength Universe!
Glad you enjoyed it
Never realized how tall Lou is and his heaviest weight. Grew up watching the hulk .
I'm seeing people mentioning powerlifters and strongmen who trained differently. For Lou or Franco to walk on to WSM and place is incredible. Lou walked off the movie set and competed with no training that says a lot about his strength.
No doubt Lou could do it. He wasn't even trying and showed up at the World Strongest Man without preparation and took fourth.
And ? If Franco didn't injure his leg, he would probably have place in front of Lou, still Franco that trained for those lifts was not able to do this. We are supposed to believe that a guy we never saw do heavy squat or deadlift, could squat or deadlift more than Franco or be at the level of Ronnie ? That's fan boyism at its best
A family friend Uncle Steve grew up with Lou. Said Lou was a natural powerhouse.
Such impressive careers and dedication by both of these titans.
Lou is my childhood hero. Loved watching him as the Incredible Hulk. He is the reason for me getting into weight training..being from Toronto, we have a family friend who happened to try out for the Toronto Argo’s football team back in 76-77 at the same time Lou Ferrigno tried out. He told us that Lou was a beast and stronger than any bull… 💯👍💪💪
That's awesome!
They always say you don't want to meet your Heroes, that holds true here. I've been around the guy and now I understand why no one likes him
@@Juggernaut-fg2up yes , you are right, not the most pleasant guy. Instead when I met another one of my hero’s back in 2002. A wrestler (the ultimate warrior) was awesome , made me take as many photos as I want with him, took his time answered all my questions, even though he had a line up 300 people long.
Nice video sir!
Met Lou when he lived on the Central Coast of California. I'm 6'1" and have worked out most of my life. Lou had a nice house up in the hills. A four car garage that was filled with exercise equipment. He was training for the 1992 - 94 competition. He was HUGE. And being I'm a life long Artist as well, I could tell his proportions were in perfect balance, considering his height, and he was very ripped.
We talked about the discrimination he experienced in competition because the judges didn't like the fact he went into television. Which he did so he could afford to live and work out. Many of the competitions he entered paid next to nothing. He should have won all those competitions of Mr. Olympia in the 80s and 90s without a doubt. But that is politics in the body building world.
Arnie always came off as an extreme egotist, showing insecurity. However, Lou was always cool and laid back. He would stop and talk to you. He even introduced his wife to me. The guys was, and still is, a gentleman through and through.
With these experiences of mine I would say I believe Lou was Much stronger than Arnold.
I remember standing there talking up to him and his seeing his traps were so huge it looked like he had shoulders on top of his shoulders. And like I said, I've been a life long artist, I know proportions. Lou Was A monster. I remember him beating Franco Columbo in the car lift back in the 70s. Even though Franco was a very short guy, Lou had to get all the way down to the floor to lift the back of that Datsun B-210 from the same height. Franko clearly had the advantage because he didn't need to stoop down as low to get a hold of the bumper. Lou could barely get low enough to grip the car. And Still He Out Did Franko. Arnie's Work Out Partner.
Lou: Through the years I was growing up and working out, you were my inspiration and you still are. Thank you for that, and you will always be "The Olympian Ideal" of them all as far as this professional is concerned.
Arnold has admitted he was not as strong as many of his colleagues. He was more about shaping his body, which he did to perfection.
It's been a while since I've seen the 1977 WSM but if I remember correctly, everyone squatted less on that setup than what they would have been able to do on a barbell. Not saying Lou's claimed squat is 100% correct but I wouldn't necessarily use that specific squat event as evidence against him.
Sorry I didn't explain that very well. My point was that he finished the event in last place
@@StrengthUniverse Last place say something but not the whole story. It also counts how many competitors were, how many events they've had that day, how many kg Lou usually squat with a barbell, how he did on other events of WSM, etc.
8 competitors, 1 event a week. 10 events total. Lou Zero pointed in 4 events and scored poorly in another 3.
And yet while Lou claim to have a squat 20 lbs superior to Franco, Franco did squat 100 lbs more than Lou in that event...
Very good presentation. Thank you.
You're welcome, thank you
Like this one before I even heard the content - Great comparison!

I am not going to call either a liar, but on size alone I would give the edge to Lou. But what do I know.
Lou could EASILY been a movie star like Arnie if he wanted it.
I was an airline pilot and had Lou on my plane in the late 90's. He was in 1st class and the flight attendant serving him said he was very polite. He consumed 3 1st class meals and 2 bottles of wine and then fell asleep for the rest of the flight.
He probably told the flight waitress "I just wanna have my cake"

Great stuff
Lou's brother told me on the phone many years ago that Lou's best bench press was 560.
Huge Comeback 💣
I believe in his day Lou was one of the strongest bodybuilders in competition. At his off season weight of 350 pounds he trained with incredible poundages and as he progressed his competition weight went up from 275 to 325 something that could not be done without using really heavy weights.
I think that Lou was better but ARnie had the celeb status and the Body building industry took ARnold because the public was enamoured with him and he would help to launch the fledgling body building industry. Politics played a big role.

If you watch pumping iron, you will see in the 70s Arnold basically bullied Lou because he was so much bigger and stronger than him, but his mental strength and confidence was nothing compared to Schwarzenegger's charismatic personality, and Arnold literally makes fun of his stuttering and speech impediments like a child, and his insecurities Arnold attacking him relentlessly made me see him in a different light.
Arnold is a narcissistic psychopath. It's just the way he lives. He didn't get enough love from his family in childhood and that's why he needs whole world to love him. It's all about him. Everything he does - he does it for himself. Even charity etc. He works on his public image. He can't think differently.
I remember the Hulk from when I was young. I am trying to push my weight again. I had to trim for a minute. Now, I'm 211.
Instead of disputing it I can only say that both Arnold and Lou were incredibly strong and were awesome in life
With his size and weight those numbers are well within reason
With no officially recorded lifts, and no film footage of said lifts, it means nothing. People automatically assume he's stronger than Arnold because of his size. John Haack is roughly 100 pounds lighter than Lou Ferrigno, but can beat him in all three lifts.
@Gene Connor I thought it was a typo when I read that Arnold's max squat was only 545, until he confirmed it in an interview. I guess the squat was Arnold's Achilles heel.
@@josephblow5946 obviously didn't matter did it?
@@02hreblue30 No, back then quad size didn't matter like it does today. On the flip side, small waistlines don't matter today like they did in the 70's.
Definitely believe Lou was stronger, he did a lot of weird stuff like lifting cars, refrigerators and bending rebar back in the days.
Lou Ferrigno is the greatest of all time!!
I don't know about a 600lb bench, but I do believe he was a freakishly strong bodybuilder for that era, and maybe any era. His performance in the WSM contest is evidence to that. There are also anecdotal stories about his strength from people who trained in the gym with him and movie stages. Arnold never had a reputation for strength. Everyone talked about how hard he trained, never how much he lifted.
I think he was rounding up and generalizing when he mentioned 600lbs. 560 is likely the accurate number that he rounded up.
They did Aliens vs Predator in the movies, Robocop vs Terminator in comics, but unfortunately this video is the closest showdown between "Hercules vs Conan" that I have ever seen.
Lou never trained that heavy.
He liked the reps, he has said it himself.
He could have been a powerful lifter had he been trained to do so.
well they were both a lot stronger than me!! Also both had phenomenal physiques - much better than the current crop of supamutants
There was a Flex Magazine article claiming to have followed Lou for a day in his preparation for the 1993 Olympia comeback. In that article, they had photos of Lou at the gym doing a leg press with 1200lbs for sets of 10 reps. I know that Weider magazines back in the day were very unreliable sources of truth, but the photos seemed legit and not staged for a "shoot" per se, and his training partners at the time were backing up the numbers given in the article. I'd say Lou was very strong, and quite possibly capable of those numbers he claimed when he was at his bulk weight before a cut.
Arnold strikes me as a person that has no need to lie or over inflate his achievements.
Bodybuilding is all about illusion. Arnold claimed 22 1/2” arms Arthur Jones taped them at under 20” (Sergio’s were slightly bigger than 20”) so yes he is more than capable of telling tall tales.
Lou was a lot stronger than Arnold. He did well at World’s Strongest Man.
Lou is a strong dude. If he just "walked" into a strongest man contest that is amazing
After a hard workout, they both smelled equally strong.
Lou was my favorite BB,But I read and followed Arnold's tips for BB.Both were my favorite on screen Superheroes.
Hulk vs Terminator😤😤
Lou was stronger and had a better physique, but lacked the confidence and Arnold used that against him.
All we know for sure is the videos portrays Arnold as being overconfident whole Lou is on the opposite spectrum, but do we know for sure it was so in reality? Arnold himself and the director of Pumping Iron said they wanted to make outrageous claims in the movie to attract more views, which basically made it a docu-drama and not a documentary.
@@ryutenmen My evidence for this extends far outside the movie.
better physique than arnold ?? he was smooth had no back early in his career and looked lanky due to his height... dont insult bodybuilding,,

Lou has a horrible personality, rude, arrogant etc. I believe that's the reason why he never went any further in bb or acting

I believe Lou made those lifts.
The Hulk can claim whatever numbers he wants. If he gets angry enough, he can lift it… lol
Actually I was well aware of it. Thanks for your input.
That should be the tie breaker for mr.Olympia who can lift the most collectively 💪
LoU for the Win!
I have no reason not to believe Lou or Arnold.
Lou Ferrigno did go to the strongest man competition which is saying something about him. Seeing him lift that car is enough for me.
He was shredded at 325
Lou at his biggest had 100 lbs on Arnold so I can believe he was stronger but I doubt if he was getting quite the numbers he claims
If big Lou would have won a Mr O in the 90's, it would have been equivalent to big George winning the heavyweight title at age 45
I think Lou got screwed in some of his competitions. Should’ve placed higher
Does anybody remember The Incredible Hulk episode where Lou played a bodybuilder? There was a character in that episode that looked exactly like Joe Weider. (Same exact mustache!) It was not a flattering portrayal-- Lou's career in the IFBB was doomed after that. His speech impediment didn't help. Arnold understood the political game better than anyone. (1980 Olympia is proof)
lou was always my hero he reason i got into working out
Lou was lifted Exactly what he said !!!!!
All the way Luis👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏼💪🏼
Tom Platz vs Franco Columbu?
He nailed it gym strength and what they do on worlds strongest man are way different.
Big Louie was a Goddamn BEAST!!
Universal chose Wisely when they cast him for the role of "The Incredible HULK"...because Lou Ferrigno Truly was Exactly THAT... and the man just Kept on Getting Bigger and BIGGER!! It was as if there was No Limit to this Real-Life HULK!!
By the way at the 2 minute 52nd Mark take a look at that still photo of Lou doing a squat remember that man is 6 ft 5 and he's holding a body position like that talk about flexibility of ankles hips and low back that man was incredible
Lou is the man 👏🏽💪🏼
Hercules(Lou) stronger than Connan(Arnold) of course.
Lou was stronger no matter Arnold's aesthetics.
Can you imagine if Lou ferrigno actually jumped on stage in 1975 during pumping iron at 325lbs, he would have blew Arnold away lol
Ferrigno got screwed out of so many titles
One year, in the world's strongest man competition, Lou made his point, up against men that weighed a lot more (muscle AND) and during that competition, as I said, he made his point, the only things they beat him at had to do with having more gross weight, not more gross strength.
