I met Lou back in 1978 at a World of Wheels show in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I was working security and when I walked into one of the rooms he was there. I spoke to him for a minute and shook his hand. He seemed almost shy and was very approachable in those days. He was The Incredible Hulk but still a gentleman.

Does anyone remember when some woman parked her car on a hill and forgot to set her parking break with her kid in the car. She got out and the car started rolling and Luo broke his arm stopping the car to save the kid. That was in the 80's.

My dear Mom had dementia the last few years of her time with us. But I cannot even fathom the challenges you're now facing due to these battles. You and your family are in my prayers. I will forever remember Lou and my evolving Fandom from being terrified of him as a child watching the hulk with my grandmother and then growing fond of him as a gentle giant as an older woman after my grandmother told me I had nothing to be afraid of because he only attacks people who made him angry 😂 I miss my grandmother wish I could have gotten her hulk poster autographed for her while she was here 😢 if I ever get the opportunity to meet Lou I'll still ask him to sign it to her regardless ❤

I met Lou at cape giradeau mo comicon several years back. He didn't make a good impression. He was almost rude unless you were handing him money. Maybe it had something to do with his hearing but he came across as self centered. Reb brown was there also. He was awesome. Just an all around great guy
Same happened to me!! I saw him at NY Comic Con years ago. He was by himself at his table. The day before i did some homework to ask him questions of his bodybuilding competing......he basically blew me off felt like he just wanted his $20 bucks for his autograph. He then brushed me aside to take a photo of a kid who didnt even know who he was while walking with his parents. He was not cool in my book!

I had the same experience at the Northcoast Bodybuilding Championships in Lakewood, Ohio. His wife was nice, but he was rude.

As a 3 or 4yr old The Hulk was one of my favourite TV shows
Its rather late in the day for his wife to divorce him after they've grown old together. But then again the Captain and Tennille divorced into old age as well (which was very academic being that the Captain died like just three years later).
Rarely do I ever get on my soapbox if you will, but I believe it's all a money grab by Carla, the daughter, sister in law, and other family members who have since turned their backs on him. I don't care what anybody says, Carla is a gold digger & social climber in my eyes. I mean think about it, she's the same woman who loved riding on his coat tails for many years + the glitz, glam, money (moolah 💰), notoriety, and getting her brief acting career (because of her soon to be ex hubby Big Lou) + being famous for being his wife & known as Mrs. Hulk/Mrs. Lou Ferrigno. She loved ALL of that & now that things look like they have soured between Lou & her, she's gonna try to ruin his reputation & life. Wrong in so many ways!! Money & Greed are the root of all evil!!
That being said, my message to Lou would be: "Lou, stick a fork in your marriage. It's DONE!! You don't need her or your daughter or those others who have turned on you. You can and will do better w/out them. Plus, do not worry about anything, your true fans will still love you no matter what. Yeah, there'll be fickle ones who come & go, but the true loyal fans will stick by you. Also too, everything will be okay. Just hang in there & know that you're still loved by your true fans. Me, myself, and I included."

as being a bodybuilder and still working out, my thoughts of Lou before the Hulk, you left out PUMPING IRON the film documentary about the Mr. Olympia contest thought by many to be the greatest of the time, Arnold Schwarzenegger -Lou -and the fantastic Serg Nubret, battle it out for the title with Arnold winning the 1974 title.

In the Late 70’s My Mom and Brother Spent over $300 bucks on Gym equipment and Courses from his Company,We only Received a small percentage of the weights equipment ,Reported him ,Never received the rest.Different times ,hard to get products then,$300 bucks was big Money then

People with Dementia get taken advantage of by their kids all the time and how could she have possibly written so eloquently about her "situation" if she has dementia? People with early-stage dementia usually can't even write a check, I know, I lived through it with my mom after my dad passed away. She seemed to be perfectly fine but couldn't do some very simple things. And if Lou's wife was on his accounts, it would give his daughter and others even more access to much more money. This must be enormously difficult for Lou.
