- Before every battle my Pokemon get randomized. As far as I'm aware this type of challenge has never been done before, but it was a ton of fun!

I like to imagine that the character has, in fact, caught 'em all. But doesn't trust the PC so he carries all the pokemon on him in unlabeled pokeballs. Then when someone challenges him it's just like "Ah shit. Uuuuuh this one, these ones here, and let's go with these."

I calculated the chance at 6:36, In generation 3 there where 354 pokemon moves, so if we assume that metronome is 100% random then the chance of vicegrip being played 3 out of 4 times is 0.000008991%. So if you compare that to the chances of spawning a shiny in gen 3 which is 0.00012207% you have a bigger chance to actually find a shiny in the wild than to get vicegrip 3 out of 4 times with metronome.

To be honest, he could've made it easier on himself.
Pivot between Shuppet and Stantler: the former for the Tackle immunity and the latter for Intimidate. Do this rapidly until Poochyena runs out of Tackle PP, then send out King to destroy it with Tackles.
Reminds me of the first season anime episode with Ash’s Metapod vs some guy’s Kakuna. It was just yelling “HARDEN!” at their Mons for 5 minutes while Brock and Misty facepalmed.
Now i wonder how hectic it would be if EVERY pokemon is random, even the wild ones and trainer pokemon, so no trainer is the same, even if you loose

How cool would it be if Ditto had a secret ability that did what this mod does, but just for it? It'd potentially make Ditto a viable Pokemon to use on one's team, instead of just a breeding slave.

6:40 the game selects a pool of moves that can be chosen by metronome before every battle, so it's not out of every single move in the game. idk how many moves it chooses from tho. (I paused the video so if he ends up saying this later on my b lmao)

Assuming every attack gets selected, the possible moves that could be choosen are 335. Now all you gotta do is cubing 1/355 to get 0.000000027. So the odds for vicegrip to happen 3 times, if all attacks can get selected, is 0.0000027%. BUT since disable was used once inbetween, you have to multiply the odds with 334/335. So the final odds for vicegrip to happen thrice in four metronomes, assuming all attacks can be choosen, is still 0.0000027%. I hope I didnt fuck my maths up

True as IQ only measures your knowledge and some pattern recognition skills mostly but according to multiple intelligence theory there are at least 7 different types of intelligence a person can belong to.
It's like asking who is smarter a person who can do maths well or a person who is good at many different languages. We can't exactly compare them both can we?

20 minutes is a spectrum, it could be a second or it could be thousands of hours or even farther. So when Ant states that it will take 20 minutes, it would take 20 minutes.

As someone watching on youtube, yes, the timer is very helpful.
By the way, regarding IQ tests: Even professional, "accurate" IQ tests become only like 80% accurate above 100 IQ, and are only about 30% accurate above 130 IQ, because it is _really hard_ to judge high intelligence, because highly intelligent people often _lowball_ their own intelligence. I had to take one as a teenager, and the guys who performed the tests - who were psychologists with diploma and all! - told me that. IQ tests aren't really designed to tell you how intelligent you are above 100 IQ anymore, they're more for judging what category you fall into, below 100, around 100, or above 100. It matters a lot how low you score if you score low, but it doesn't matter how high you score - it's good for you in any case!

I feel that Shuppet/Poochyena fight... I still remember getting my gift Munchlax just as gen 7 was released , pitting it against an early trainer Gastly, only for it to use mean look, and even though i had 4 moves, i could only potentially damage it with Metronome!
The fight took over 20 minutes of me just HOPING for a damaging move, and even though i got a few, it wasn't enough to knock it out...
