@@gabrielmourao2854 I like to imagine gym leaders match up pokemon with yours, so like if an experienced trainer came in from another region to battle, brock would use a level 70 onix, but for a dinky little kid who just started pokemon'ing a few days ago he uses a level 10 geodude lol

All OHKO moves do that in gen 3. They have 30% accuracy + 1% for every level. It was completely intentional.

To make it even harder and more random: Would be funny to have the moves' language changed after each battle, so you have to guess which move you will attack with
Or randomize your type every battle
Or just learn all of the languages. Just casually, for a video, learn every single language.
Imagine changing languages, types, and move types
Would make the ROM significantly larger and possibly unwilling to run, text takes a ton of space compared to other things

Gen 3 - 5 was the golden pokemon age. Even the quality looks better then some games these days.

I think the best way to “balance” this is to use the same amount of pokemon as the next gym leader. Similar to not over leveling the gym leaders in nuzlocke’s, no over catching!

I don’t know how interesting this would be, but I have a suggestion for another pokemon mod. What if every enemy pokemon is concealed, so you can’t see it’s sprite, name, or cry? To discern which pokemon it is you have to pay attention to its ability, moves, and stats, and pick your counter accordingly. Pokemon would also have to be randomized, and for fun the pokemon could be revealed when you KO it or when you white out. It sounds fun to me on paper, but I have no idea if this would work in practice
Maybe keep the cry so it's not an absolute hell (plus depending on the generation some of the cries will be the exact same so it's not too much of an advantage)

I am pretty sure that after defeating the Snorlax, you are required to use the item finder in order to get the leftovers which is normally hidden under the Snorlax.

Something interesting I noticed at 14:10 is that Lt. Surge used a super potion on "Voltorb" despite it having more than half it's health. This makes me wonder if the Gym Leaders/Elite 4/Champions base their potion usage on a certain number of HP lost, as opposed to a certain HP percentage threshold, which is what I always assumed.
Or it's just an effect of this particular mod, I have no idea, lol

What makes this even way more fitting is, if Wuppertal is seperated to "Wupper-Tal"
Tal means valley.
In conclusion 'Wuppertal' was all along *WHOOPER-VALLEY*

0:47 I like this rule. Discourages cheese. Also, Randomized Levels makes this more potent than other variants, assuming levels are randomized AFTER/WHEN battles start, not before; It'd be too easy if Ant can just Save & Reload until he gets mons he likes.

I really love this challenge. It's so unique compared to other randomization I've seen. I hope to see you do another version of this one day!
I would suggest to have this with the addition that enemies keep their team, if you lose. So that you actually have to overcome brick walls.
Never the less, entertaining as per usual.
This is a pretty good suggestion, I'd also recommend the enemy level floor increasing by trainer strength. (e.g. Youngster joey would be 1-100, lt surge would be 20-100, lance would be 60-100)
Could be a nightmare to implement though

I like this more than just random pokemon. Having random levels and random moves makes it more chaotic. If only abilities were random then we could see a sableye with wonder guard.
