Funtastic!🤩
Thank You for this Great Lesson.
Great teaching
Thank you👍😊
Eddie… though complex this is not complicated. Due to the alternating guitar banjo parts it magically becomes a play along lesson that when approached slowly can work for a beginner such as me. To learn a song I physically write out the tab first on paper. This action creates a visual sound image in my mind then I play that measure in full to some level of proficiency. The alternating guitar then banjo parts gives me time to be mentally ready to play when it’s my turn. Due to my left handed/severely dyslexic mind set I need to assemble all information in mental/visual building blocks in a logical order. The Dueling Banjos tune provides that for me. Many thanks for your continuing contribution to my musical journey.
That's a good technique. The process of writing something out for oneself (even when the tab is provided) helps all learners better "picture" what they are trying to do and is a very good learning tool.
It’s a hard song I am still learning but I am on the fast part so not much more to go!!!
Great easy-to-follow tutorial for folks, Mr Collins 👍 👏
Thanks Butch
Awesome 👏
Great fun Eddie. Most folks find another room to hang out when I show up with the banjo, let alone make a request! All joking aside great tutorial on a great tune.
Maybe bring the banjo in a guitar case...but then you'd have to play Freebird on the Banjo!
Great playing sir.
Banjo is a minor instrument in Japan. The banjo is my favorite instrument, so I am learning by imitating your playing.
Thank you so much everyday!!
Great to know the banjo is loved worldwide. Have fun playing this.
Thank you for this version from France
Glad it is helping you learn the tune!
Fantastic break down ! I’m learning clawhammer style but this translates 😊
Glad it will help you with your clawhammer version
This is really one of the best tutorials i have seen. I am a absolut beginner and my english isnt the best. Pleasent voice and speed. Really really good. I have to practice a lot :)
I hope you will be playing along soon!
He Finally uploaded it😈💪. Thank you you sir!
Glad you were looking forward to it!
Nicely done....
Thanks Anthony
Hi Eddie, I am brand new at the banjo, actually it's a 4 string Irish Tenor Banjo, however, I know my way around the guitar so I'm hoping that gives me some small edge. I just purchased this thing for $150.00 and I was told it's from the 1960's. It's called a Beltone banjo.
🇨🇦 thanks very much appreciated.
Glad you found it useful, Rob...good luck with your picking!
Well that was such a helpful video.

You're welcome!
I've known somewhat how to play some of this for a long time, thanks to you I can now play the whole song on guitar.. I need more practice though, would LOVE for you to make a "Play Along" version with your Banjo for practicing! That would be so great!
I have similar play-along videos for mandolin and guitar, here's the one for guitar: czcams.com/video/FvFrEF6u9M8/video.html
@@EddieCollinsMusic Thanks, I will play along with it, practice some! I have been teaching my 7 year old daughter and 10 year old son Dueling Banjos on Mandolin with the help of your videos. They're doing so great! Thank you for the videos.
nice one mate cheers
Thank you, Happy Picking!

Thanks Eddie thats awesome 👌. Please could we have a faster more intricate banjo lick version? 🤔👍🙂🌟
It's on my list of "to DOs," but will probably be a while before I can get to it.

Troy, please see the video description for the email address to request a copy and I'll get it to you.
This is awesome. My husband (guitar) and I want to make it our new parlor trick!!! I don't see the email info to get the tab though?
tuneman@austin.rr.com. The link for the guitar lesson/practice track is czcams.com/video/FvFrEF6u9M8/video.html
Goal. Yesterday was my first experience producing a song that sounded like a song instead of a jumble of notes. Baby steps. And fun. I’m almost ready to buy the t-shirt.
Great to have milestones in your progress, thanks for sharing!
🥰Love
Happy Dueling, Josef!

Rachid, please email your request to eddiecollinsmusic@yahoo.com and I will send you the tab.
As someone that plays Clawhammer with no picks, can i still do this maybe using a 2 finger thumb lead type of playing instead?
You can read the tab the same, then choose a right hand pattern that you can combine with the chords during the "fast" part.
Hallo, wie ist denn das Banjo gestimmt? Danke
Standard tuning: g DGBD strings 5 4 3 2 1
Or leave your banjo at home.
