    there is something I really hate about this drama, how they portrait Jia and her tribe like some sort of ignorants just for being Korean, don't they know that back in those times Koreans know Confucianism and they write and read almost all in Chinese? even the servants knew how in order to do the task third masters ordered.... and I Korean they had a lot of Chinese Influence, of course she new many things about poetry and history, even if it was just to please hwansha

      #1: Cultural bias. (That's all I can say without risking a flame war.)
      #2: Notice that Jia tries to play it up? "Oh, she's from my tribe, she doesn't know the characters." She knows that she's looked down upon for being Korean, so she tries to turn it to her advantage. (It was never gonna work in this case, but I like the subtle implication.)
