    Second infantry division in south Korea in the DMZ was exposed in March, April and may all the way to September 1968. Freedom bridge, camp doge, O.P. Maizy and in that area was exposed. The Palo Alto V.A. Calls it,”BOOTS ON THE GROUND”. If you are denied, go to your Congress person before it’s too late. Goo duck.

    Helpful info and clear explanations. I'm currently at 60% rating for disability but just had open heart surgery and triple bypass grafts on 12 Oct 22. I'm submitting all the med docs pre-op and surgical to my VA disability officer. If I get 100% due to this major surgery do I lose it after a month or am I reevaluated under the METS criteria? My physical function will be severely limited for months afterward. Thank you.

    I have a heart condition that i was medically retired in 1969. In 2011 I needed to get a military card to be able to go to the VA hospital to get an reevaluation to my Army disability rating of 30 percent.. A VA agent helped me to get what I needed to get reevaluated . I ended up getting evaluated with my heart condition, type Two diabetes and tinnitus. Since the evaluation I am now at 80 percent. I asked about being in Vietnam what about agent orange. At the time in 2011 it was not a factor. Is it now ? I've had two heart surgeries outside of the VA, one opening my Mitral valve and another in 1979 when the replaced my Mitral valve. since then I have been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus is a complication of chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease ( GERD) Can these conditions change my rating? What has to be done?

    Let's say you have PTSD with anxiety from multiple trauma while on active duty, then developed obesity mainly due to the PTSD (put on the "fat boy program") and then are honorably discharged for pregnancy (but still considered obese). You eventually develop a-fib and congestive heart failure, most likely due to the weight loss efforts, anxiety, obesity, and now have a implanted pacemaker/defibrillator. Which is the primary, which is secondary? I have a filed an intent to file and trying to get everything figured out.

    Great info ladies. My husband currently has hypertension and coronary heart disease. He has high blood pressure notated in his service medical records, but his current doctor is reluctant to write a Nexus saying he developed the hypertension while on active duty. He was already awarded for depression, but they denied his sleep apnea claim. What would you suggest he do to connect the heart disease to the military? Thanks!

    • @lg7728
      @lg7728 Před 2 lety

      I suggest find another doctor to create and sign a nexus letter. I could send you a sample copy of a nexus letter and Internet medical literature, connecting heart disease, secondary to hypertension. Always send the VA medical literature connecting secondary conditions. In 2013, my C&P examiner sent the VA medical literature connecting my obstructive sleep apnea, secondary to rhinitis.

      Sleep apnea is really hard to get approved secondarily. Best route is private Dr, have a Sleep study. If positive have the Dr complete the nexus . I tried the depression/ptsd route and it was denied. That's cuz I already had a CPAP and Sleep study

      have you done a video on bradycardia? My husband was diagnosed with bradycardia during service but is not service connected for it. He never knew it was something that could be claimed. He retired from the AF in 2003 and in 2016 he had a massive stroke and last year was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease. He was also diagnosed with severe sleep apnea after his stroke, previous sleep apnea claimed denied as he had nothing in his service medical records for it although we are sure he has had it for many years. We are thinking about doing a claim for bradycardia the linking it to the stroke, is that possible? Thanks @@HillAndPonton
