Just picked up a 2005 VTX 1800c with 9000 miles on a couple weeks ago.
Owned a 2002 VTX 1800R back in the day but had to sell it.
Glad to have my baby back
Similar story myself...I had forgotten how much torque they have until I bought the 2nd VTX 10 years later!
I have owned a 02 1800 R, 03 1800 R,now a 05 1800 F, VTX's r AWESOME n my humble opinion !!

Just bought one a few days ago with high mileage too. 43000. Hoping it lasts. I have two Honda cars and a 4 wheeler lol
They will. Don't be nervous. I bought one with 67k on it. Runs as if it's new.
If they took care of it, don't worry about it. I'm a firm believer in Honda products too. My wife has a Civic, our lawn mower has a Honda motor and my previous boat had a Honda outboard ;)
High mileage is 100k. You're good to go

Fun, ain't it ? 6 days ago my neighbor sold me his 1 owner 2002 VTX1800R, 35,000 miles, new tires +brakes, 3 grand, I'm still smiling I know you enjoy your bike, stay safe out there. P.S. How far off is the stock speedo ?

I still ride my 02 1800c, I have thought about selling it, but $3k, that's very low for a bike this nice. I can't believe they are not going for much more. Maybe just because I paid $12,500 when it was new.

@@SunsetProjectsTX I remember back in 1999 paying $2,600 for a "good" 86 shadow 1100. Someone buying a vtx1800 in 2023 for just a few hundred more seems crazy to me. It is an amazing bike.

I owned one of those bikes it was a great bike but I could not get a good sound from it no matter what kind of pipes that I put on it.
I've heard that before. I think my favorite pipes were actually a stock set cut down with no big baffles and new down draft ends welded on. A neighbor did it for my Honda Fury with the 1300cc motor.
