Welcome to the VTX 1800 club. Been riding for more than four decades, rode many different models, and the VTX 1800 has a character unlike any other bike. It'll be my last bike until I can't ride. Rubber side down, Kemosabe.

I agree with you completely. This will be my last bike I’ll own .usually after a few months or so I flip my bikes for a decent profit then move onto another cycle from other metric bikes to of course Harleys. I’ve been lucky in buying cycles at great prices and on the average I manage to get net profits of $2500-3000 on each bike I’ve purchased over the past 5 years. Keep riding bro, and always remember this…. It’s not what you ride, it that you RIDE! Stay safe and blessed bro

Yep same here. I bought and flipped many bikes. And selling my 02 Honda VTX 1800N was the only bike I regretted selling, and my last bike. That was 7 yrs ago. Late summer, early fall days are when I missed it the most. Well, last weekend I just purchased a 2007 Honda VTX 1800R with a batwing. Man, I missed that power! And almost forgot there isn’t a gas gauge lol. I will see what’s out there.

In 2007 I bought an 05 1800N S3 brand new.. It had been sitting on my local Honda's showroom floor for a bit over 2 years.. Orig msrp was like $14,500 and I got it $4k off at $10,500.. No one was buying them at that time for some reason.. It was fast for a cruiser back then but after trying a couple street glides and letting them lower in value, I sold it in 2012 and got a street glide.. The fairing, gauges, radio, cruise control, abs, hard bags, and the sound.. That was the only thing I hated on the VTX was the sound.. I had V&H long shots and a nice intake & good tune, but just a horrible tractor sound.. It was noise, just not nice noise.. My harley with a cam sounds amazing.. When these still cost 5-8k bucks I would rather spend $8-10k on a nice bagger harley..

I have an 02 1800c. These were made in Ohio at the Marysville Plant. I chose to put progressive forks springs and 444's on the rear with dunlop elite 4 tires. Not any softer of a ride but keeps the tires glued in the corners with noticeable improvement.

Picked up a 2008 VTX1800 T3(Tourer model) this past summer with only 8.5K miles on it! Absolutely enjoy the heck out of cruising on this bike! All the VTX models look great and have allot of horsepower! I was able to go 190 miles (with reserve) on a trip. Maybe could have gone 200 miles but didn't want to risk pushing this beast, they're really heavy! Enjoy riding your VTX! You own a bike that's hard to come by and sought after by enthusiasts. Maybe 1 day Honda will realize how popular the VTX series is and come out with the VTX 2000!

I purchased my VTX 1800C with the factory black n red flame paint job which looks like a Custom paint job. My VTX is a 2006 with original owner who sadly passed away and the son didn’t ride so, him and his mom after a year of deciding to just keep it or sell it, they opted to sell it, lucky for me I was the only one that was willing to drive 120 miles to view the bike and told the seller I’m definitely interested and I’ll bring cash, his asking price was at $5200 but I had $3200 in one pocket and $2000 cash in my other pocket . When I seen the bike, it was like brand new with not one scratch on it, he had all the original receipts from the invoice when he purchased it from the Ohio Honda dealership to him having the engine dyno tuned with Vance and Hines pipes and K&N filter, and Bridgestone BT-020 200/60R16 Rear... which makes it handle and sound better Then my 2000 Harley Davidson Softail Springer, and that sounds sweet. I offered him $3200 cash and -- he excepted my offer. The bike had 17400 original miles on it 🎉🎉! Now my favorite bike I’ve owned thus far which is over 7 cycles from Harleys to Suzuki C90 boulevard. Harley Davidson Sportster/ road king road glide . Yamaha 1700cc bar none this Honda is my go to cycle now. The best deal I ever dreamt of having . Not sure why Honda discontinued this VTX CRUISER, all I know it’s one hell of a ride . Talk about being at the right place at the right time!! What a deal of a lifetime!!

I have a 2003 VTX1800R. It has a Vance and Hines exhaust , a Kurakyn velociraptor air cleaner and a power commander v. It was just Dino tuned. It put out 95 horsepower and 118 ftlbs of torque at the rear wheel. It has a mustang seat and I put handlebar risers. It took a 5,700 mile road trip this year. It was very comfortable. It was very comfortable. I payed $4,500 for mine.
It had just under 27;000 miles on it. It now has 45,750 miles. I also put progressive rear shocks
on it. They ride much better than the stock shocks. I have heard people getting 200,000 miles out of a VTX.

That "seller's remorse" came from John's Moto Garage!!!! I watched him religiously, but now, he is not buying and selling bikes like he use to... Kawasaki VN2000 or VTX1800 or Triumph Thunderbird 1600? I owned the Triumph, but want the biggest of them all (VTwin that is) and that is the VN2000LT.... Who wins on a "roll on" at 50 mph in top gear? Oh, my old Vmax 1200 did.

I have 2 2002 1800C models (one smashed up) the best upgrade is the handlebar riser (1cruiser) and the cone style air intake (the screws they give you aren't metric so you have to buy them separate) the hypercharger is the worst upgrade! (it gets in your legs way and you can't use the rear brake properly)

VT 1300 the Honda Fury. They tried to replicate the chopper style with it. It’s a great motor, the Fury is a good looking bike but to be honest, I liked the Stateline better.

I just can't fiqure out why Honda did not put this 1800cc engine in the fury? They would have sold thousands. They build a chopper with a small engine with no where to go. Who would customize further a bike with a boring small engine. They should have kept the 1800 and stopped making the 1300. I went to buy a fury years ago. Found out they only had a 1300. I walked out very disappointed. How stupid can they get, I thought that they want to fail.

Yeah I’m with you on that. Considering the market segment they are appealing to, which is us you would think they would have kept the 1800 twin. The only thing I can think is that they figured they had it covered with the Valkyrie even though that’s a V-6.
