    If the CVT on your Polaris ATV is not operating properly, you will want to take a closer look at the primary clutch (drive clutch) on your ATV. The primary clutch is bolted directly to the engine's crankshaft and is the main component to the CVT system, which comes under heavy abuse in all riding conditions. In this video, Charles shows how to inspect and replace the primary clutch on a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 but this process will be similar for other Polaris ATV models.

    That primary clutch holder looks neat! Is that the one you all use around the shop all the time?

    I can't get polaris parts. What's the next best brand to buy? I need front drive clutch & rear. Something destroyed them. Shredded the metal.
    Thanks

    Do these not have a wet clutch?

      IF you get it wet, then it's a wet clutch.....duh

    • @newpylong
      @newpylong Před 3 měsíci

      Does it look like it? It's a CVT. Wet clutches are more common on Japanese ATVs.

    Dude, just get the rear fender out of the way. You don't need to show us how. But, flailing around with the fender makes a hack video.
