      Ever considered Auditing an Audit from another country?
      I know it may require some more research regarding the legal analysis, but I'm sure people would be willing to help with that (myself included).
      Just think it might be intetesting to see the differences and similarities in law, and also the attitude and approach of LE in different countries.

If they make you defend your complaint before giving the form, they could be corrupt, but possibly not if after listening they give the form.

      @gergelyvarju6679 Před 3 lety +19

      @@admthrawnuru I think it isn't only about the individual cops, it is mostly the system. I live in Hungary, Europe.
      Of course, we don't have a first amendment, so we don't have first amendment audits either. Luckily we have other kinds of audits. But we have at least 2 pretty official organizations responsible for investigating misconduct by police officers, and they can try to "trick officers" into doing something illegal and then prosecuting the officer for misconduct. Sadly their audits rarely end up on youtube, as they tend to mention things like "ongoing investigation" and other reasons why it would be a bad idea. And some of their audits are followed up with arrests, criminal charges, etc.
      And of course, we have accredited training programs (Some of them are masters degree level and some Ph.D. schools) that train people for specific positions and roles in law enforcement agencies.
      I see how in the USA sometimes the police departments can't fire incompetent fools, as they would have to fire almost everyone, as they lack formal education about their responsibilities and everyone learned the same bullshit in the same echo chamber formed from officers. If states would say, no one would spend a lot of money on a degree to be an underpaid cop so proper training (even good university level) should be paid by the government and you need good universities and the states would set up agencies to keep police in line, most the incidents wouldn't happen.
      But funding these changes might cost money they can't spend on problems that would help "friends". Defunding police means they spend less on important services and can essentially "steal" more.
      In a bad system even if a police officer gets an A+ in one scenario on camera can act abusive and incompetent in others where he feels it is justified for whatever reasons. And bad police work can lead to issues where innocent people ages prosecuted and when jurors trust the police they can get wrongfully convicted. Lack of proper training and lack of proper supervision undermines the whole system.

He took a step back and reached for his gun, then thought about it a second, then reached for his tazer, and then realized that on this summer day, an entire bar full of patrons were on the front porch watching and filming everything. So he cuffed me, brought me over to his cruiser, ran my name, and let me go.
