That's exactly what it feels like, too! We didn't usually get big Christmases, but there was one Christmas when my dad got us a trampoline. My camper engine stopped working 4am morthers day morning. But a great fix it guy showed up yesterday. Couldn't fix it. He came back today Thursday. And still couldn't fix it because he has found some really bad messed up wires. Now I gotta get it towed to his shop. Where he said he can definitely fix everything.
I have a friend who found me this fix it guy. Who told me he will help me pay for the fix. The fix it guy is so smart and I believe he will fix my van well.
Just wanted to share with you since you seem like you would care and understand.

Get a set of trekking poles. I know that sounds like overkill for a walk, but they are a game changer for stability, and for efficient use of energy. Plus, when younuse them, you get a full-body workout because your arms are also very engaged. It strengthens your body, and your brain communication between hemispheres (this is also sort of how EMDR therapy helps people), and helps with confidence if you feel clumsy or unsteady.
I have MS and am a part time wheelchair/forearm crutches user.
I go on miles-long dirt path hiking trails solo with my dog with my poles. That's how confident and dtable they make me feel. đ„°
I was going to suggest the same for the reasons you mentioned! Trekking poles are fabulous. They help with balance (I have chronic vertigo) and I also feel like they could be used as a weapon in a pinch. đ
