- She fly's Planes, definitely not manual cars. I very rarely let other's drive my car, but I can't say no to my best friend. I'll trade a clutch for memories like this any day. Sorry if feelings get hurt about MY car getting "hurt". She still drives 10/10, Mia was very careful.

I can’t wait to drive a real car after this…
You did awesome
GIRLLL planes are much better for you
A clutch on a car is like landing an airplane knowing when to flare.
@@johngrimley3523 exactly
You did great...those battle cries were hilarious
best way to teach stick.......LET THE CLUTCH OUT TILLIT STARTS TO GRAB.....THEN PUSHI IT BACK IN.......have them do that over and over till they feel that area. Then talk to them about a fast idle and do the same. Then have them fast idle and let the clutch out.....Move a little then stop. Push the clutch back in. do that over and over in a parking lot. once they get that right then hit the road and have them shift.
Driving manual comes second to nature for some people but when it doesn't, you need someone like you to teach them.
It took me sooo long to learn how to drive manual. Now I can’t imagine not knowing how. We had fun!
Many of us that grew up with manuals were alive before cell phones & social media. That’s important because manuals make you focus on the road & what you’re doing. Compact cars & trucks were built cheap in the ‘80s & ‘90s therefore had manual transmissions. Most younger people today have no clue what a manual is..... different eras
If she can fly a plane, she can master that manual. Flying demands hand, foot and eye coordination!
That's so true! She did pretty good for her first time. This car is difficult to drive for anyone haha
This girl is the calmest teacher I have seen! When I got my cdl my teacher screamed at me many times!!! A girl actually taught me a manual 5 speed
Mia, the stutter or chuckle in the driveline you experience is because of all the connecting parts from engine to rear wheels have 'lash'. This is called driveline lash. When each of the elements of the driveline that contribute lash like driveshaft universals, rear halfshaft joints most notably are not under steady torque, you can experience that rocking effect. The way to eliminate it is...with a little higher RPM and torque from the engine to keep everything under load,...and....slipping the clutch. Everybody does this when learning to drive a stick and you learn to keep the driveline under load by slipping the clutch and keeping the RPM's up which driving slow. With clutch all the way out, you go faster but you can go slower in the same gear by slipping the clutch more at higher RPM. That is the art to driving a stick. An experienced driver can actually blip the throttle repeatedly while slipping the clutch and the car doesn't lung. That is because you are within the 'friction zone' of slipping the clutch. You will notice the stutter only occurs with the clutch all the way out. When slipping the clutch at lower speed the stutter disappears. Learning to feather the clutch and go slow with higher engine RPM just takes practice. Hopefully Kayla will let you drive it some more. Its fun when you get the hang of it.
Kayla, you drive that car like it was meant to be driven. A very gracious overture to allow you best friend to drive your precious car. I have done this a few times and always kind of regret it. ;-)
To the young lady learning to drive the stick. Everyone one of us learn by trial and error. You did about the same as everybody does on their first effort. Nobody drives the car like Kayla first time. Takes lots of practice. A suggestion is and hopefully Kayla will promote this...keep driving the car. By the 5th to 10th time, you will be doing it naturally. It is no different than learning to type or play a chord on a guitar. Practice. Same with shifting a motorcycle.
ive done the same thing when i first learned to..soon it come so easy and natural to shift and drive.i love that car
Hi Kayla, you're a very knowledgeable and patient instructor. Mia was definitely nervous, but you were very patient and understanding🙂 Looking forward to seeing you learn to fly ! I'm sure you will catch on quickly.
Watching anyone learn to drive manual is always😬🤣 at the same time!
We couldn't stop laughing. Such a fun time!
Механическая коробка для американцев это прям АД
Quite interesting you both are teaching each other different skills. It’s always good to learn something new. 💨✈️
The best relationships are the ones you learn from 👍🏼
I could be your grandfather, but I love you! :-) You have good instructor skills teaching her about the clutch friction zone and such. I grew up around musclecars and still own a couple and love seeing you carry on the enthusiasm in your generation.
It was fun laughing with y'all! I think your Camaro might sound better and be faster than my 69 Chevelle... :( Dang. I've always wondered why I have never met ladies that enjoy cars as much as I do? Now I have, just in cyberspace. As a midnight shift aircraft mechanic getting his ass kicked, I appreciate your channel to take me away from the stress of it all. Thanks.
I Passed My Driving Test in a Stickshift Car🚗.
They Require more Practice But your a Professional Once you get used Driving One These🚘.
Patients & Practice is Key.
Also when you feel the clutch start engaging apply the gas pedal slowly while you continue to release the clutch. Basically have both feet going the opposite direction at the same time. If you get to the engagement point, and just fully release the clutch it will either stall or jerk your foot enough to cause the fluctuating gas peddle.
That sideways action was badass. Mia did a good job, was very entertaining. You all should do more videos!
Had to show her how to drive it properly! We should, it was way too much fun!
She actually did great for her first time! Go Mia! 👍
lol put my 2018 ss in track mode with all the nannys off for my buddy funny thing they sounded just like her screaming🤣 so much fun teaching friends to use stick
Hi Kayla! This is Jermey McGuire, my favorite part of the video was you power shifting when you were going through the gears.”
I love the sound of a manual upshifting!!
Fun to watch your videos. You have so much knowledge. That is so awesome.
And that's cool that are friends giving you an opportunity to drive her special and good job being a friend
I love how this generation rocks the same shoes mine did! Old school AJ 4s 🔥
İn my country you have to learn with stick for the license test.it great and fun to watch people learning.
your videos really great🥰🥰🥰 keep up with cool videos and have great day
You missed the first step! Mia needs to adjust the seat and mirrors for herself! Other then that, you are a great teacher / instructor. It was a fun video to watch! You both had such a good time and you did not destroy the car!
I remember when my best friend got a new car and we took it out for a drive, after we got done work. He got stopped for speeding that night. He told his parents that he got a ticket for speeding. They took his license for 30 days! The last day of his suspension the State of Maine took it for another 30 days!
Very cool you tried to teach ur best friend to drive stick in your car . You are a real one !
i learned to drive manual on an 87 5.0 convertible mustang. heavy clutch. then i had 68 mustang ( automatic)... then a dodge Dakota ( 5 speed manual)... Silverado super sport...then i added the beast. 2012 camar-ohhhh ss.6 speed. if you have an automatic Camaro...ya gotta make the swap to manual. you HAVE to.
Kayla: Epic and funny video. Brave of you to let your bestie loose on your clutch. Personally when I teach people to drive stick, I get out of the car completely (really big EMPTY parking lots only) and talk to them on cellphone. By what the car does, you..know what they are doing inside. Kudos to your friend for trying to learn in your car. You two are a..pair👍
bestie for the restie
@@MiaLoxley Mia LOVE your attitude and style. Met Kayla in person when she came to Florida last year. You two would definitely be good "trouble" in person together. Keep flying and having FUN👍
no shot she was leaving me alone again
It reminds me of teaching my wife to drive my cammed vette for the first time. She fell in love and bought a Camaro SS 1LE
That is so awesome. I know Mia wants to get a challenger- would love to see it.
I just fell in love three times in twelve minutes. Many greetings from Germany! 😍😍
Greetings from the USA
I was putting my car in the garage. Definitely take it out tomorrow or tonight to drive it. Inspired me now!
I tried to teach my sister to drive a manual in my mustang years ago. She would just pop the clutch & punch it soon as the car started moving. When braking, she wouldn't push the clutch in. I tried but she just gave up trying to learn it.
Nice Kayla teaching Mia how to drive🙋🏻♂️🍎hope she learn fast👍🌟
This is something I'm not looking forward to teaching my daughter in a year, but that's what my son for since he has the car with the stick!
Well done Kayla. Especially when it's helping your friends out. Shows exactly what a true friend is. Awesome content. ILMAO. 💯🌹👍🆒 Aussie Fan 🤟🇦🇺
Thank you for your continued Support Grahame. It was so much fun!!
@@KaylaRundle you are such a incredible person who has a beautiful soul and heart 💖
Funny, in my 2018 SS it's nearly impossible to stall it. I'm pretty sure the drive by wire actually gives it more gas before it stalls.
The newer Camaro's automatically rev match and have technology to stop you from stalling. The Fifth Gen is almost 100% driver only, especially with it modified with the SS3 Cam... makes it very easy to stall and hop around.
My Focus is the same way.... it rev matches & has Hill start assist. Don’t get me wrong, it will stall if you’re completely clueless, however the car does everything it can to help you out. Today’s modern day manuals are much easier to drive vs. an early 1990s manual.
@@poker_18rs92 In the Camaro, the rev match defaults to off every time you start the car. I like it on but if you forget to turn it on and downshift expecting it to rev match and it doesn't, you're in for a surprise. So I made a little module that turns it on every time I start the car. Not sure why they didn't do that from the factory. Also their choice to use the paddle shifters in the manual transmission cars to control the rev match seems rather odd as well.
@@turbo2ltr Good info, thanks! One thing I’d also like to say is that anyone can learn to drive a manual, you just have to want to do it. Yes, it can be annoying in traffic, however it’s also very rewarding to be actually controlling the car. One thing Mia should know is that no one is good at it overnight..... however give it a few weeks & it’s like riding a bike & becomes second nature.
That Skittels jacket is beast.
Thank youuu!! The Supreme racing jackets are my new obsession
That startup! It will a be a nice tradeoff with flight instruction🛩
All we need is a plane now! You know anyone? 😆
@@KaylaRundle Sorry Kayla!! Just offer some more pilots in your car, I'm sure it won't be long before you connect with the right resouces!.
Have to say it was a very entertaining video and she done a pretty good job and she had a great teacher,, Go Mia!!!
thank you!!!
Congratulations on the channel Kayla. Looks like your subscribers keep growing. Will we see any merchandise with your Camaro in the future? Love to see it on a Tshirt.
Yes you will! I have a few designs ready just need to get them printed 🥰
There's another cause for not putting it in neutral while driving. In case brakes failed you can down shift and use engine braking to slow you down cause as you said sometimes gears wouldn't engage
I got an A10 ZL1 now but I do miss my SS that had a M6. Downshifting is the best part, paddles aren't the same :(
Good job, you are a pretty good teacher. 😎
This is such a good video 🔥
when u have a cam u have to keep the rpm up on take off, lots of throttle pumps
You are brave and a good friend to let her learn with your Camaro!
Thank you! Luckily she listened and didn’t launch it haha
This was a cool FEEL GOOD VIDEO! GO MIA!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Great first time!
God that cam is heavenly!!
Love this video it’s so awesome
Thank you Brendan!!
Cool your friend fly’s a plane!!
Keep up the good content💪
Will do :)
Omg, it really was scary and funny at the same time, but Mia actually did quite Okay...and you were patient and understanding (Y) :)
part 2 kayla, i so enjoy this video so funny and cute bff😍
Thank you so much for watching!!
Ya usually pilots aren’t into cars. Aviation is just so much more bad ass. I’m my experience pilots don’t give a shit about cars but most car people want to fly. For me as soon as I started flying I didn’t care much ab cars anymore and I stopped building my corvette.
both our professions are bad ass! I definitely am learning to care more about cars and my own vehicle because of Kayla she's taught me so much
I learned how to drive stick on a stock 02 SS I can't imagine learning in this beast
It's a fun time!
Nice ride
This was so cute! I loved watching this. I love seeing other women manual drivers.
Tuned from South Africa..
So so so funny Kayla and Mia 🔥😍
You're great ! videos like that yes I say yes! more videos like her and more with the bff. even videos like this alone
Glad you liked it!! I will definitely include her more in the future 🥰
Awesome video and good job. Sometimes driving barefoot help get a feel for the clutch
I do this all the time!
@@KaylaRundle oh it looked like u were in shoes
Wow I can't wait to see you flight a ✈️ kayla wat a great teacher teaching your friend how to drive manual how did u learn how to drive manual? 😳🙈🙈
Her Screams 😱😍!!! 😆 🤣 😂 fun times for you guys!!!
Bout to go drive mine🏎
Woohoo!! It's the weekend :)
My loving heart goes out to all of you
Warming up a car is a myth in today's cars. It was required long ago because oil didn't reach key components, now oil reaches everything within a few seconds (even with an empty oil filter).
Rocking the Skittles Supreme jacket 🔥
Ayeeeee I was waiting for someone to say something about the fire fits 🥰😩😝
dripppppped out
Uau Camaro transmissão manual.lindo carro
I saw the video of your wheel falling off on abc comedy
Its good to learn stick my second truck was stick....not alot of people know how to...
You never know when you’ll be stranded in Europe and need to make an escape in one of the manual vehicles 🥲
Melhores amizades são aqueles que você compartilhar juntos conhecimento e melhores momentos juntos 😘
You’re a good driving instructor Kayla. I can’t wait to see your girlfriend teaching you steep turns, slow flights and stalls.
11:30 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love you Kayla I'm from the middle east ♥️
This is sooo entertaining. I am a stick driver wouldnt have it any other way.
I love your camaro it sounds fantastic but I don't know if I let someone drive it but that's just me 🤘
Gotta be a real special person to drive my car, I agree.
Considering that engine clutch combo Mia did quite well.
I agree!!
What make me laugh in this video is Mia high pitch screaming.
Love it, ha ha. You 2 rock!!!
You rock!!
Yeeeeah camaros 🤤
Flying an Airplane is by Far more Complicated Than Driving a Car 🚗
She will Master it.
Hahaha ...this was a pretty fun video to watch! Better film the first time you stall a plane lmao
She's taken me up in a plane before and I didn't stall but maybe she will give me more control and we will for sure film it all!
Nice video very funny🤣 tks!!
Thank you!
I don't know who is telling you that moving the stick shift when the car is in neutral will wear things out, but that is not true. I am a trained Auto Technician with 11 credentials, and multiple years of experience in the field. As long as you are not pushing the stick shift forward or backwards engaging the synchro's moving it side to side won't wear anything out. Especially if the car isn't running.
Sweet Video
Thank you!
@@KaylaRundle Your Welcome :)
Это было весело! Прикольные девчонки!
You are a very patient teacher I was taught by my dad at the age of 12 how to drive a stick and let's say he wasn't very patient. Great job! The only thing that could have made this video better as if that car was a hellcat. LOL
I would be stressed out learning from a family member too. She did so good! At the end of the day, it’s just a car 😝
You should teach me too:d
😎🤙....good video funny and cool. Yal girlz ROCK. I fly Cessna 172's as well, good job driving!
Cheers,
Sean~Diesel®
lmao at the intro
my daughter learned on my 15 ss
Yeah so Coolllllll😃 really funny video and we learn! more videos like this really
And part 2 switching 🤝🔥🔥
Passed great day
Don't worry beautiful it gets easy and it's complicated but you'll get it
whenever you teach someone to drive manual and they mess up the clutch or destroy it look on the bright side that's an excuse to get a new one
This video warmed my heart you’re so beautiful ladies
Thank you so much!
Parabéns princesas vcs é muito lindas demais eu curto muito esse camaro.👏👏🌹😍🤩😻🥰🌹🌹😘😘❤💐
How fun
Beautiful
It’s getting the hang of it you have a driving in a couple of months when it does that jolts it needs more gasShe’s doing good See anyway she’s going to learn is in the blooming car park
Shes perfect :o
Stock clutch, flywheel, gearbox?
Yes all stock for trans.. makes it easier to learn.
@@KaylaRundle that's exactly the reason I ask. It would've been way harder for Mia to learn if it wasn't stock
