    Thanks for this, I really enjoyed it. I love playing around with collage too. I have found I get the least wrinkles if I lightly spritz the front of the clipping with water before gluing it down. Then I brush a little medium over the top and gently rub over with my fingers. I find Golden soft gel works really well for this.

    • @BettyFranksArt
      @BettyFranksArt  Před 9 lety

      Yes, I have tried the Golden soft gel and it works so much better than matte medium. Thank you!

  • @JudyShea
    @JudyShea Před 9 lety +3

    So fun, Betty. Thank you!! Try putting the medium on the back of the picture AND the surface then scrape it down with old credit card or brayer.

    • @BettyFranksArt
      @BettyFranksArt  Před 9 lety

      Thank you Judy! I have tried that method, too. When I scrape it with a credit card it usually takes off part of the magazine color. But, maybe I need to try again! :-)

      doreen badger Hi Doreen! For the back, I just add a stitching-type stamp to divide the area between where I write a message and where I put the address. Sometimes there's paint on that side, but I don't mind. It's all part of the look! :-)

    I'm watching for the umpteenth time and it dawns on me that you aren't putting any medium on the back of the magazine pictures. If you put medium on your water color paper AND on the back of the pics, you won't have any wrinkles. :)
