Don Carlo. One of the greatest managers of all time
Do you include the Neolithic period?
Gary still one of the greatest of all time
Gary well you have a point when he managed Bayern, but other than that he likes a challenge and that’s why he’s managing B tier teams unlike someone else *coughs (Guardiola)
@Gary Why are so salty about him? Don Carlo is one of greatest manager
@Gary shut up dude, the trophies speak for themselves
You can tell why players say he’s a great man-manager. Has a lot of charisma, seems really likeable.
Only Chelsea say that all other players think he’s a knob
He's truly one of the Greats. I think Everton have pulled off a masterstroke while Arsenal/Chelsea/United are all freestyling with these young managers appointed through nothing but emotion. Everton have appointed a certified winner, may not be in his 40s nor in his absolute prime but Carlo could drop 3 levels and still be one of the best.
@@patchh15 ole isnt really young, and he was cardiff manager before this
Ronaldo said he was like a "big, loveable bear", so understandably he was very upset when carlo was sacked.

I’m a Liverpool fan but you’ve got to admire and respect Ancelotti, just like Klopp boosted the city for us, Ancelotti has boosted the city for Everton, 2 great managers in one city
Yep
Respect that 👏🏻👏🏻
You can’t argue with that, I’m a leeds fan and Bielsa has done the same here... great managers have a way of boosting every part of the club including the community.
amazing time to be an everton fan(hopefully) and obviously amazing time to be lpool fan great for the city
Even as an arsenal fan I respect the man. He’s a class act and a likeable guy 👏
The man who taught Zidane. On the pitch and as manager.
He did ?

As a RM fan he will forever be my favorite manager. He brought RM La Decima, it was the greatest day of my life. Don't forget, he also gave Zidane the opportunity to be the second coach. Carlo was the architect of Real Madrid's success in the mid 2010's.
And today he just won La Liga for us! Don Carlo...

Everton fan here and still pinching myself that we genuinely have one of the best football managers the world has ever seen. Klopp might be a great manager at the moment, but he'd need to prove this over another 15 years to come close to Carlo. We're so lucky to have him. He's even embraced the local community and seems to love his new surroundings.
Klopp has been fantastic over ten years now lol
Klopp is a great manager he's proved it. He has won the Bundusliga (sorry for the spelling) with a team which was miles behind a great Munich team and he has done the same with Liverpool. You can see how he has inspired Liverpool he has given us a never give up mentality.
@@maxmacdonald5443 you got to take into consideration all aspects. Klopp is unlucky that Man City has one of the greatest teams ever assembled to contend with. We took City right down to the wire last year and this year we dominated them. Don't get me wrong Ancelotti is a great manager. I just think only a few managers could do what Klopp has done, I think Ancelotti and Poch are the other two managers that could make a decent squad into contenders without breaking the bank. Not taking a shot at Guardiola, but he chooses his clubs wisely
He won 1 title with Dortmund and almost relegated them aswell
1995
Some of these name drops, man. Still flies over me head how and why he came to Everton. Obviously fancied a challenge 😂 carlo magnifico

Apart from the promising project, his salary is pretty bonkers too. Not much jobs available that'll pay top dollar outside of the elite clubs.
Past his best that's why. Like mourinho aswell football has changed

Imagine being the manager of:
2007 Ac milan team
2014 real madrid team.
2010 Chelsea team
One of only 3 managers to win the ucl 3 times and one of only 2 to have managed teams in four finals.
And then imagine going from those teams to Everton. Baffles me why he went there. Guess he wanted a challenge and a PL return.
Khalid Ali he’s such a good manager
05 Milan team was the best by far even though they lost to Liverpool: Dida, Cafu, Nesta, Stam, Maldini, Seedorf, Gattuso, Pirlo, Kaka,Shevchenko, Crespo. Subs: Inzaghi, Rui Costa, Serginho, Tomasson. What a team.
Beerus the game was a shocker only champions league provides games of that magnitude and craziness

Carlo is my no. 1 manager!
I like Milan since about 1988,and I like Carlo when he coached Milan.
I'm a Newcastle fan but always loved Everton, proper club, so glad they have a manager of the stature of Carlo, he is world class, they deserve a man like him at the helm and I'm sure they will do really well under him.
Nice post lad. 👍 The problem in football is ffp has ruined the competition and Carlo has a tough job like Bruce taking his side to the next step. The FFP law has divided the teams from outside the top four to the top ten being another level from the bottom half.
Its almost 3 divisions within the league table and totally unfair.
It all brings a lack of honesty and major favouritism
Every team had a top player 20 years ago. Some more than others of course but Southampton could beat United on any given occasion just by having the genius of Le Tissier.
What can they keep now? Its a disgrace, i used to love the likes of West Ham, Southampton, yourselves bringing top players to Goodison.
The levels of squads brought the "Park the Bus" tactics in too. Boring scrappy games where you see a good battle but less of the top players attributes.
I've watched loads of old English and Auld Firm games lately and realised how much i dont miss football now. Its fake.
This season has all been about VAR and putting City in their place for doing what Man U and Lpool have done for years.
When them sides with Arsenal get to make decisions the game is over.
Its then set in stone for everyone in a game that should be unpredictable.
UEFA now are considering a new system for the champions league based on the last 5 seasons and the likes of us think we can jump to the next level.
Its almost a losing battle without being able to compete with the wages of the top sides.
“Proper club” 😅
@@87Michael Did that trigger you? Lol
@@paulos1878 totally agree mate. I'm a Newcastle supporter and watching football these days is depressing. Parking the bus and playing for a point is ok for the odd game but when you watch it over and over again you just think to yourself what is the point of this . Too much money in the game it's just solely a business now all about survival the premier League is the be all and end all and that is the problem.
How can you support one club and love another in the same league?

First question about his career's choice and the guy jumps into tactical considerations...love him
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LOVE DON CARLO. LOVE FROM A MADRID FAN ❤️
This is great sports journalism. I feel like I know so much more about Carlo now than before watching this. It's not that Jamie is asking the right questions- although his interview is very sound- it's that he lets Ancelotti speak. There are several times when it seems Jamie is about to ask another question when Carlo decides to add something else, and Jamie just lets him go. That's brilliant. These extra thoughts are sometimes things that all add up and click in a person's mind at the last second and underscore the point they were trying to make. You have to let them go.
And too, what's great about this interview is seeing Ancelotti in his home environment. He doesn't freak out when the girl enters the picture. He's laid back, this is his family, they're doing what they do and he's just being a person talking about what he does.
Hard to dislike this guy. I think Everton are so fortunate to have landed him.

Would love to see him in charge of England after Southgate. His strengths are in getting the best out of the players he already has available and finding a system that suits them best - which is ideal for international management. Amazing manager, with amazing history 🌹😎 . Lovely home BTW.
This man has the most exemplary record of managing the very best players at the very highest level and being able to not only manage their egos but to coach and get the best out of them while also building a great relationship with them players and gaining their respect, and all of that while also winning all the biggest trophies at whatever team he manages, as a spurs fan I find it very difficult to understand how when we sacked pochettino, which was bad enough decision to begin with that Daniel Levy somehow thought that mourinho was a better option than Carlo ancelotti, this man has won more than mourinho and has a far better record of managing his players without throwing them under the bus when things get a little bit bumpy, but yeah great man, grey manager.

Message to all Everton fans.
Carlo is one of the most humble people in football even though he is the greatest manager in the world imo.
He was despised by the juve supporters as their manager.
Shafted by players, owners and directors at Madrid, Bayern, Napoli, Chelsea and PSG.
This is because he has no airs or graces or massive ego about him and those people saw that as a weakness.
All he wants to do is build a 5 - 10 year legacy at a club that respects him.
If the Everton owners/directors support him (and no they don’t have go out and buy €100 million mega-stars) he will turn Everton into huge European brand and deliver many trophies to the fans.
As an Acmilan supporter he turned my team into the greatest champions league team of the 00’s (check the stats), precisely what Berlusconi wanted. And no, Milan did not spend mega bucks on players e.g. Kaka and Thiago Silva were bought for peanuts.
And he will do the same at Everton in the 20’s if he is fully supported by players, directors and fans.
This is the greatest opportunity Everton have ever had to win the champions league (Yes for a toffee captain in blue strip to lift the champions league trophy, just think about that) but you might need to give him 3-4 seasons to build his team, depending on finances, players settling in etc.
Just imagine a warm sunny blue sky day in early June in 2023 or 2024, you’re standing on a street in merseyside with pint in hand and tears rolling down your cheeks as the big blue bus drives by with your captain holding that big ear’d trophy, that is in your future.
I wish you all every success in the next few years under Carletto, you have no idea what a wonderful journey you’re all about to embark upon while he is your coach, so get behind him through and bad and don’t mess it up.
So interesting to hear him talk about Lampard managing Chelsea. Lampard stunk it up there, and then he replaced Carlo at Everton.
He is a great AC Milan player during the 80's dominated europe at that time with load of world class players. Great manager with AC Milan, Real Madrid but having a difficult time in Bayern.
