400 CUBE XE FAIRMONT "DUTCHN" - FEATURE & DYNO VIDEO

- We check out Deerk's awesome XE Fairmont Ghia "DUTCHN" as it gets tuned and put through a few power runs on the Tune Corp Hub Dyno.
The car has just undergone a new engine build at Prowest High Performance starting with a Dart Windsor Block, Stroker Crank out to 400 Cubes, Steel rods, Forged pistons, Solid Roller Camshaft, Ported CHI Aluminium Heads and a 950cfm carby all running through a C4 and 9 Inch Diff.
After last weeks effort on the dyno where a Pinion Bearing failed, the diff was removed and completely rebuilt. Check out the video here: • DIFF FAILURE ON A HUB ...
Early runs on the dyno were already showing 500rwhp, but with some carby tweaks and a little more timing the team finished with a very respectable 577rwhp out of a pump fuel 400 cube small block. Perfect for a weekend cruise or a good belting at an event.

That looks wicked man. Sounds beastly too. I love the simultaneous beauty and simplicity of that yellow trim and wheels on the black body as well. Probably the best looking sedan of the XD, XE and XF range I've seen.

I had an XE. Not as nice as this one but. Beautiful car old mate.
I had a black xe 351 clevo, top loader and 9 inch shouldn't of sold it! This is much nicer than the one I had!
One dyno run on the video is more than enough.
Very impressive engine and with those relatively low RPM'S it will last forever.Cheers

Beautiful car!! Struggling to believe 667 Ft Lb at the wheels though. 400 cubes wouldn't make that at the engine let alone wheels. Mint combo though.

My dad knows derky who owns dutchn and it means like covering the area with smoke and derky is dutch so thats why he chose the name
Solid roller and mechanical secondary’s for the daily driver...
2burning2turning I couldn’t think of anything more annoying... a solid roller in a street engine, Ud be resetting tappets after every cruise
D G you don’t have to adjust them that often. Only if the engine overheats.
Depends on the cam I spose.. by that idle it only sounds like a baby
