Any video you come out with I’ll watch it and enjoy it. Thanks
Thanks ☺️
What a nice warm tone with your RK and those strings. They sound great!
Thanks for listening 😊
I use LaBella 17, nylon strings. I love them.
Nice!
So far mostly I’ve only used Ernie ball light strings. I do like the sound of the bronze wound
I've used those before. Not a fan of the bronze on most banjos, but I've got bronze on my fretless currently
I have only tried LaBella #17 Nylgut strings and have enjoyed them. It's good to know that their steel strings are nice too!
Yes they are! I'm looking forward to trying their nylon strings.
@@JimPankeybe sure to brush up on your knot-tying skills and get your bifocals (I certainly needed them), as they don’t come with loops. In my limited experience, (and limited knot-tying skills) the first and second strings can be a little short.
Good luck and happy picking, Jim!
@@jason_learns I'm fairly adept at tying. I've got a couple of banjos I keep nylon strings on.
Those strings sound to be working for your banjo 🪕 skills .
They are!
I just ordered two sets! I too will report back on how they worked for me!
Hope you like them as much as I do!
Hello Mr Jim i was wondering if you could do a lesson on johnny reb by jimmy Horton
Yep, "LaBella" strings are good enough for "Willy Nelson" and Good enough for me.
I'm pretty excited about this! :)
@@JimPankey Mate, I Live in New Zealand, & they are a bit expensive postage,, How about sending me a couple nylon sets for my Acoustic, I'll , look you up and write you a song.
Jesus I had to stop playin th banjo for a while cuz I broke a finger but Im happy to finally be playin again. Im workin on pretty polly right now. Do you think you can do a lesson on "The battle of new orleans" by Johnny Horton?
I use daddario xs on my les paul, Alvarez artist elite acoustic guitar, and my Washburn. I heard elixir discontinued mandolin strings 😢😢 so I decided to try xs. I don't have a banjo. I'm curious to see what You're most favorite string is? I only like daddario because of the color loop ends. IDK who else makes strings with that. Fender does for guitar, but not banjo
Pretty fond of these LaBella strings.
Thanks for replying to me!!! Means a lot @@JimPankey
Have you tried mape or woodtone strings?
Yep! I used Mapes for years.
Any trouble with g or sawmill using the LaBellas?
No problem with any alternate tuning
Do you have any clawhammer lessons for beginners

Excellent!
