I'm so sorry, I'm dealing with a loss of a budgie to. Different reason, but I still feel horrible for you too. *trying to remember all the good, fun times we had together.
It's so sad that when they fly away there's nothing we can do. I saw a budgie in a tree near my yard once, i tried my best to get it to come down because i knew it wouldn't survive in a colder climate where i live. It flew away though. Poor little guy

you can know it's gender by looking at it's cere if it is pink then it is female if it is blue then it is male
Did you know? Even untamed budgies can recognize you love them!

As soon as my mum walks in my room when my budgie is out, he immediately flies to my mum and starts biting her necklace and earrings. That’s what my budgie does to me aswell and I whistle to him and he whistles back.

My budgie Echo flies to my mum and does the exact same thing, the funny thing is he sits on her hand and attacks it 🤣
Those things are obviously parrot toys you are wearing for them to play with.
My bird shows all these all the time, sitting on my shoulder, kissing me whenever I talk, sleeps in my shoulder, repeating every second word I say.

My mother’s budgies love her! They’re always following her around the house and flies on top of her. She takes really good care of them and they give her a lot of comfort and company. She sends me pics and videos of them all of time and says they’re my brothers lol.
I got a budgie and named it Ghibli because I found the love in those movies was pure and cute, and now a year later he happily comes to me and shares food. Knowing that he does all 5 of these (and a bit more) makes me feel really good in my soul
My budgie’s 3 favorite spots to sit on me are my head, my shoulder (specifically my left shoulder), and my toes. He makes little kissing sounds back sometimes when I give him kisses on his beak. He’s a crazy little bird and I absolutely adore him 🥺💙

I got my first budgie as a Christmas present. He is greenish yellow and still very shy. I gotten my second budgie a few weeks later, they bonded really well and it’s make me so happy.

i keep my budgie cage open most of the time and i keep it near the kitchen and whenever i walk away to go get something my budgie climbs out of the cage and walks to my room and tries to find me (my budgie is tame)
I got a budgie yesterday, and he’s a little shy but i spent 3 hours with him today petting him in his cage, giving him treats and getting him used to my hand, and he stepped on my finger and let him sit their for awhile until i knew he was comfortable and i took him out the cage and he’s currently sitting on my shoulder, (because he pooped on my finger)

How do u train my budgie never talks
Been around budgies long enough to know they all have different personalities. Some are extremely friendly others are extremely cautious and probably can never be tamed since they prefer the company of their own kind.
My cockatiel is bonded to me but is also BFFs with my budgie that is not hand trained. It's incredible how close he has gotten to us. Will stand on our shoulders and arms and heads. Will drink water if I offer it, not food. Will hang out with me while I work or shower. Still can't touch him tough!

I got two budgies couple days ago and they're very shy and scared for most part but I can already see some progress! For example today they got very playful even when I was right next to their cage. I also fed them from my hand! They don't show all of the signs mentioned in the video but they do groom themselves even when I'm around. Hearing that it's a sign of trust really put me at ease. Thank you for the great video

I have a Bourke's parakeet, and she does all these things (in a Bourke's sort of way). She will even preen herself on my shoulder. She fluffs on my shoulder or chest as well. Its just her happy place.
My parakeet isn't fully trained but he still goes on my finger and also likes me!:)

My budgie Porthos is still a baby, but does all of these things. I guess I'm on the right path.
I kind of have to coax Porthos to start chirping using budgie calls on youtube, but I read they are more quiet as babies to avoid being eaten by predators.
Porthos gets super bashful when I tell him how pretty his feathers are or if I say what a good bird he is.
I use a giant ass dog kennel for Porthos' home, which I took the front door off of.
There is a simple yet complex web of branches and logs in there for him, along with treats and toys.
He can come and go as he pleases, and immedietly returns home when I tell him to.
It's so adorable, I say "Porthos! Go home!" Then his little bird legs run towards the kennel and he always leaps the last 2 feet away from it.
His wings are almost grown back from the petshop, and he knows it.
His beats his wings several times a day now, jumping in place to see if he can lift himself off the ground like a harrier jet.
My baby never call when I’m around him. But if I get far for even a second, he starts screaming and if I talk to him, he try to answer and keep calling until I come to him.
How about: budgie sits on your finger, leans against your cheek and falls asleep? :) Mine did that yesterday. So cute

Head bobbing at you is another sign. Our blue budgie used to really like me....it would be super happy to see me and would follow me all over the house. I miss it.

I have two lovely buggies since June 2017 and both doesn’t like to be touched. Eat from my hand, play with me, show all signs of trust but when I want them to perch on my hand they disagree., I could never change that but I learned to live with. They are my angles

Maybe try to explain that birds that always caged can get very bored and depressed, I think that it's a must to let the bird roam in the room for a couple of hours every day.
Why would your parents let you get birds if you can’t let them out :( Try to explain to them that it’s very important to let budgies out.

I wasn’t sure if my budgies liked me as they often run when I get too close. I can get them to fly over to me if I hold out millet for them though and they do the rest of this. Hell, one of them preens herself when she’s on my hand sometimes.
