The S21 Ultra Refresh Rate Adaptive Mode isn't Right as Samsung said it should be.
It don't jump from 10hz to 120hz, it jumps *ALWAYS from 60hz to 120hz.*
You can visualize the Refresh rate in the Developers Option. Activate It, scroll down to Debugging, than turn On:
*"Display Refresh Rate"*
*Then you can see the Refreshing numbers 60or120hz on the upper left side.*
I even found out, that if you turn the Brightness to under 6% then the Adaptive Mode don't move at all, it Locks on 120hz. #TryIt
That's exactly why these Adaptive Mode don't Fits with these tests,
*(Still good video tho👍),* cause with this running script as you said you used that during the test, it probably don't jump back to 120hz and Locks on 60hz, because if you open the camera App, there it stays on 60hz Locked, and if you Activate Screen Recording, there it also stays on 60hz. #PleaseShareThisInfo

Saf, great review, but I think you should highlight one important advantage one UI has over the iPhone, namely it’s optimised for use on a larger screen. It is rarely mentioned, but the combination of this with the smaller width and more round design along with no notch make it a much more comfortable and enjoyable phone to use.

The S21 looks soooo modern and neat. Very beautiful design, with that nice and bright screen and the unique, yet good looking camera module. It is also more elegant. On top of that it has more flexibility regarding cameras and offers you way more for the money you pay. Easy choice.
I would love to switch back to galaxy, I just can’t deal with the curved edges. I either crack them or my fat hands prevent certain touches.
S21 have a flat screen, also the curve pn s21 ultra this time is almost negligible, you would surprised to see how much curve they have reduced
Me too....the curve looks cool but its kinda a nightmare to use, its kinda slippery and it might crack quite easy because glass can break
They already removed curved almost entirely on S20 series (currently using s20+). I was also annoyed of accidental touches until s10+, but now it's not a problem

I am shopping for both this week. The S-Pen compatibility is major for me. Also, USB-C is also major. Love the look of the S21 Ultra. Something I am also checking out is the file transfer ability. Is DeX a major thing (never used it). I have an iPhone 8. Like AirDrop. This is tough. If I go iPhone probably will wait for iPhone 13 which probably will still not have Pencil compatibility though I expect it will come some day (14 or 15).

@@fuegor109 of course its better. We moved from OLED to dynamic AMOLED 2X years ago unlike the iPhone with OLED now. From oled to amoled to super amoled to super amoled plus to dynamic amoled which is way sharper than any display in a smartphone and with that 515ppi to give it more sharpness. You don't know ntg about displays do you, and you don't know samsung makes iPhone OLED displays?

9:35 Same with Spotify, on iPhones. As far as I can see and found out, you have to keep the app open or music running to continue playlist downloads. Otherwise, if you start download and close/minimize the app or don't keep music running, playlists don't download.

I'm thinking of switching to S21 Ultra, the only negative for me is the Apple Maps. I'm so used to the navigation in Apple Maps cuz it is so much more user-friendly, like "On the next traffic light turn blah" "Next stop sign turn blah" whereas Google Maps, I agree is more accurate; it just tells you the street name. Which makes it a little hard while driving in an unknown area. Still gonna switch tho just gonna miss the Maps lol

I just got my s21 ultra upgraded from a s9 and wow! I love everything about it. I'm gonna say that compared to the iPhone it's a lot better. I've known a lot of apple users and the only thing they say is that they keep buying apple because the already have mac's, airpods, apple watches, and so on. So that means that they're used to apple because that's where their money is already. But Samsung is way better (in phones, just to clarify)

Hoping you do an s21 ultra vs s20 ultra comparison. Want to know if it is worth upgrading. I'm happy with s20 ultra after the updates overall but often get blurry shots if the subject moves or is moving (especially indoors). Other things I would like to see improved is dynamic range, sometimes the highlights get blown out.

I'm so confused! My girlfriend says that Android's specs look good on paper, but it's processor pretty much nullifies most of them and takes them out of the equation. I love the size and notchless feature of the Samsung, yet I love the metal and glass "beefiness" of the iPhone. The camera on the Samsung cans zoom really well, which would be useful at work, but the iphone shows natural colors I like a lot. Can't they just make a baby or something?😂 I may fix the Motorola G7 max I have, She says I'll probably destroy either anyway 😂

I’ve finally switched from iPhone to i Samsung because of this phone. I realised comparing the two based off of cameras was quite useless because I barely ever use the camera 😂😂. I’d rather opt for faster refresh rates, freedom when it comes to variety of apps, downloading online music, files and videos, as well as expandable storage.
The iPhone has better apps plus apps u can’t even get on android I could never go back an android device

I have all three phones S21ultra IPhone 12 pro max and one plus 9 pro. I say for the best overall I would take the Oneplus 9 pro. The 65watt fast charge is insane! Cameras on them add sharpening which I love. The details in the zoom is absolutely amazing. Unless you want space zoom. Then the ultra is your choice.

I had traded in my 2017 iphone x for S21 ultra. I am a apple user since iphone 2. The user experience of the S21 ultra is phenomenal no regrets.

You hit the nail on the head. These phones are so evenly matched that the.decision will come down totally to os preference.
If double the HZ refresh rate, double the screen resolution double the battery size an iOS that isnt locked to the point you can download console emulators, comparable cameras, 99% of the front is screen with no ugly notch is "evenly matched" then OK 👍

It’s more like add 0.25x more, the battery life is better in the pro max, iPhones get a cumulative 6-8 years of updates, you can jailbreak without voiding your warranty ans the cameras a pretty much the same apart from few categories where one is definitely better. Ut I love how android users brag about 120Hz ans 1440p but when it comes to battery tests, they want it to be tested on 1080p 60Hz.

They went from home button to full screen displays, they went from home button for navigations to gesture based navigation, they went from single camera set to triple camera with LiDAR and this literally made them from one of the weakest camera phones to one of the strongest. The chips themselves have had 300% improvements. The battery has gotten 3-4x better. The displays have also gotten much much better approx. 100% improvement in thar area at least. This is only a few of the things so know what you’re saying is wrong. Apple
I order s21 ultra Phantom black 256. With the case and pen. All phones are good these days it's personal preference. I sold my note 10 plus I wanted to try pixel 5 and I do miss Samsung. That is just me.
besides stock andriod and 90hz, note 10 plus to pixel 5 is a downgrade.

Iphone was always a benchmark to beat. But now, it just comes to preference.
If you are a Windows and android user (like me: Samsung galaxy book pro 360, Galaxy buds 2019, tab S6, and S8), Android would be better.
But if you're an Apple user (MacBook, iMac/Windows, Apple watch, Airpods, iPad) iPhone all the way.
Unless you want to try a new OS, sticking to what you want is great.

@@CarlWiganerUK if you use Microsoft’s “your phone” app it should do it. But the performance and reliability is widely variable depending on your PC and a host of other things. Just as with most things Microsoft, it works 70% of the time and will most likely be discontinued in a year or two.
