Xenon is code name for Xbox 360 project and also a PowerPC CPU model.
I really do like it. I even got it working on the Xbox 360 and original xbox console. You just need Brook wingman xb2 adaptor.
The white sticks are newer versions of the white xbox 360 controller, your 360 controller is the old one (they used then for like 3 years), around slim 360 they updated stick colors to their controller version
I hope they never stop producing these. I love this controller way too much to see them ever consider the idea to stop producing it. Having the 360 controller be remastered for modern day hardware just makes me appreciate it more.

@@2Laze Ever since I posted my comment, this controller has been flawless. I am floored at how good it's been and how great it feels to use this controller again after all this time. The only controller I can say is worth it's price point.

The nostalgia here is off the charts.
For the start buttons, they have to make them how they are on the new controllers if they want to be officially licensed by Xbox, its a requirement.

Not true that the original 360 came with a wired controller.
It depended on the SKU you bought. The Premium Console came with a Wireless Controller.
The Core Console (which I bought in December 2005) had a Wired Controller.

Honestly I'm glad companies are going into making these original OEM controllers as close as possible to the original. Been looking for replacements for mine for a long time and it's usually 3rd party knock off controllers that don't function as well. Might buy this version just for the original feel factor
Sadly, these don't seem to work with 360, not without an adapter at least.

Man this looks great, I’ve always found the texture and the tire track joysticks of the Xbox series controllers to be so uncomfortable, and the 360 controller was way more comfortable. Def gonna pick up this one
Yeah after a few minutes of gameplay can even hurt and that is very annoying.
These are so much better than the Xbox One/Series controllers it’s insane. The texture on the grips (and triggers on Series) is so awful. Genuinely impressed with Hyperkin
They need to make a pro version with paddles on the bottom . That would be noteworthy .
I got the other 2 colors and I’ve loved these controllers. I never had a wired controller for the 360 but it is so much more comfortable than the wireless
I’m no longer an Xbox gamer but this is great, one of my favourite controllers of all time. It was so comfortable to use.

I've been using my og one for probably 10 years now because they're so good. Even re-soldered a connector and switched analog-stick hats recently, so now its like new again lol
If you do replace the analogue stick caps with original xbox 360 1s then I think from the size/height difference there will be problems with full movement on the sticks themselves as they will be limited with there movement and probably not give full control. I've had a similar problem with trying to use 3rd party on some other controllers I have fixed in the past.
A real good way to test that I have found was load Halo and try to snipe from long range. The OEM remotes are very smooth when tracking a moving target. 3rd party remotes when you zoom in and trying to track a stationary target. It will jerk past your target instead of tracking smoothly. I had to adjust for this by side stepping to track smoothly.
It's like traveling back in time to 2005 with those Xbox 360 controllers. I can't wait for them to release the Xbox One controller in 2030 and call it a cutting edge innovation

they should have put the ring of lights on the controller and they should have had them be solid normally but when you press the xbox button it would do the little animation that the light ring on the console did during the boot animation
bonus points if they made it randomly red ring for a easter egg
I feel like this thing would be even cooler if they put the old 2.4ghz tech in here to work on the 360 also. Would probably be pointless but cool

I've never had a 360 with broken bumpers. I have however had several that I wore the joystick springs out, they felt like mush to move and stayed in place when you let go.
got a old school blue rock candy not vibration added a little weight inside the handles. works great ill still use it for l4d2.
Oh sick didn't realise this had rumble triggers, I use a 360 wireless pad on my PC and in im missing the rumble triggers of the one/series controller and honestly they are great feature as they let you know when you are locking up the breaks

hyperkin should of make the screw holes the same as the OG for one reason. if its a clone of the og one, I want to swap out the shell front and buttons with the halo 3 controller shell. Ill dremel out the buttons but I want my twistpad modded halo 3 shell back

The piece in the triggers must be a small rumble motor the same as the xbox one and series x controllers.

Other than the analog sticks, Do you by chance know if all the other parts such as buttons, D'pad, and PCB board can be hot swapped between official 360 controller and hyperkin xenon?

The OG 360 pad was always my favorite. I got small hands so it just fit so comfy. May have to get this for my series X. The series controller is just fine but man…… I REALLY want this controller.

You were the only one that answered the only question I was looking for and then unexpectedly answered the second one which I didn't think was going to happen. The first one being, are the analog sticks like the original. Somehow no one else caught this. The second one, that I didn't think was going to happen is, can you swap out the analog sticks for the original. Thank you!!

I wish Hyperkin stuff lasted. Everything i've had from them breaks after a month or two of use. Went through 3 Dukes before I just gave up on using them

Are the analog stick modules the same as on the original Xbox360 controllers or the new versions found on PS4,Ps5, Xbox one controllers? They are slightly smaller.

The biggest issues with offbrand or 3rd party controllers is, the analog sticks. They are always so imprecise compared to 1st party controllers. So that's why even if they are officially licensed I try my best to never get one. Cause the analog sticks always suck. They don't have drift, the deadzones are just so much larger, making the analog sticks have less precision. The spring in the sticks also tend to give out sooner as well. WAY sooner. Same for the drift, it also comes on much quicker than an official controller.
the hyperkin duke actually had no built-in deadzone. theres a good chance this doesn't either

Might aswell buy a brook adapter and use your x360 wired controller that way

This controller might be an upgrade it might consider since my xbox 360 usb is not working. I tried my xbox 360 controller on multiple devices and it says that the usb is not recognized at all. I plugged my xbox 360 into 3 of my windows laptops and they all said usb not recognized and the usb port and cable is not loose since that's what I was checking for. For some odd reason my xbox 360 usb controller just stopped working out of no where and it used to work. I ended up getting a power a controller but the power a controller uses micro usb instead of usb c and the packaging of the power a controller never list if the controller uses micro usb or usb c since there is no information on the box about what kind of port that it uses. I also bought a back up power a controller since its shows a removable braided usb c cable plus it was on sale from best buy. I got the $89.99 power a fusion pro 2 wired controller for $52.99 instead including the $27 discount and $10 best buy certificate from the $89.99 price.
Hyperkin, powerA and 8bitdo are some good companies with good selections for controllers

I bought the red one. I really like it. Feels almost exactly like the 360 controller. Also your comment about the bumpers: that is still a problem with the Series X controller. Just had to take one apart and glue the plastic back together.

0:37 The first 360 did not come with a wired controller the one that came with the console was always wireless for the Xbox 360 even on the 256MB arcade model but for the first few months you could only buy wired controllers as a 2nd controller tho i think that was only because most places were out of stock lol
