Learns skills:
1: Excel
2: SQL
3: Power bi
4: Python
Keep learning and updates yourself.
Excel is too complicated in the first place
@@ivantonny8337 it's not much complicated if you start to very basic and starts practice on daily basis.
@@ivantonny8337you can do it..i’m learning it gradually
@@ivantonny8337thanks for the video😊
And thanks for this list I'm just going to screenshot it 😊
"Starting and not finishing" - this stood out for me. Your guidelines are priceless. You are so assuring. Keep it up.
Thanks for the kind words and 100% will do
The entire process is well explained. Well done sir
I thought Data analysis was all about Excel, so I mastered it, but didn't feel I could do as much as I thought. You opened my eyes, and my next goal is to learn sql, power bi and python. God bless you!
Yeah excel is a great start but its way more than this some roles even get real specific where you find yourself doing really only SQL. It varies company to company but having a hang of a few tools (even at a beginner level) will help you the most moving forward
Wow you made what could’ve been a boring video SO engaging & great looking! It’s the production quality for me!!
Thanks for the kind words. Will ensure quality stays consistent
You hit the nail. Starting and Not Finishing….. is the problem. I totally agree.

Appreciate it bro 👊🏾 and happy new year. Still waiting on yours thou 👀
Thank you so very much for the great video! Starting a new career in most fields can be overwhelming. The uncertainty of where to start, what to learn, what tools one can use to practice, leads to frustration with no sense of direction. Your honest break down of what to learn, how to learn it to actually get a job in the field is one of the best explanations I have come across. This is information is very helpful. Thanks again!
You are so welcome and good luck with you journey
Very, very helpful and friendly dude! Keep it up. I am a new follower!

As someone just starting off this journey, your video made it very clear on the road map required 👏🏾

Thanks, will do!
INSIGHTFUL! 👏🏼
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful
I just found your channel, and subscribed immediately a few minutes into the video. Also based in the UK and doing a 12 wk Data Analytics boot camp course. Main units covered are python, Microsoft sql, Google sheets, excel and Power BI. Each unit is between 5-7 (2.5hrs) live zoom classes. Done python and sql so far, sometimes I feel like there is so much to learn, as I am doing a whole lot of self study and the classes only cover the basics.
Sometimes, I do ask myself if I am biting off more than I can chew and if it will ever be possible to work in a data analytics role, as there just seems to be so much knowledge needed.
My intention is to keep doing self study after the 12 week boot camp is over, until I feel confident enough in my skill set to start applying for jobs in data analysis. What would you say is a realistic time frame, for someone who is not from a computer science, Mathematics, IT background to build enough knowledge base needed to start applying for entry level roles?
Thank you in advance for your reply, I hope it will be possible to get a reply.
Ayy happy to have another person from the UK that's looking into the world of data 👍🏾 Just keep up the work in your own time, like anything technical some elements can be overwhelming especially when there's quite a few tools to learn but overtime it just starts to click. Realistic time frame depends on how many other life commitments you have but to be conservative deffo achievable to learn and feel more comfortable in interviews while also having a decent portfolio to lean on when needed would be 5-6 months (which with the fact you got the bootcamp - if its actually good might be closer to 5 months for you)
With that all being said good luck, you got this.
@@UnorthodoxChange Thank you ever so much, I really appreciate your reply, encouragement and realistic advise and especially your time.
I will stick to try to aim for the time frame you advised of. I wish you an awesome evening and I look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for the good work, it is of great benefit to people like myself. 😊
Love the visuals 🤩👍
Data analysis is so easy. Most people can learn the required skills in a couple of months. Then all you need to do is a sql boot camp to learn enough to pass an interview. There are so many jobs in this field that you will have no difficulty getting interviews and then just pick the one that pays the most. Don’t waste time and money on a degree. Financial institutions and other quality employers don’t need anything like this if you are sufficiently skilled.
Wow. Your vid was both informative and motivating 👏🏾 👌🏾 👍🏾 I'd been stuck in the tutorial hole 🕳 but you've covered great notes on both how to learn and apply the knowledge 🎉 I'm currently pursuing IT to boost my career and I think you just sold me on data analytics! Great work and thank you too!
Wasn't planning to bring anyone to data but I'll take it. Thanks for the kind words also👍🏾
Spot on, started as pt budtender 3 years ago, now I’m a sr analyst for a major MSO in the cannabis industry.
Amazing journey 👌🏾👌🏾
This is nice. I've been looking to get into data analysis with a view to transition to data engineering. This is a good guide to get started. I'll be following it. Thanks for the content.
Happy to hear it was helpful and good luck on the journey
Thank you so very much. I really appreciate the way you narrowed it down and show your understanding of the process of getting job ready. I will confess: I am currently in tutorial hell. But starting now. Actually, I am to dedicate April to EXCEL, May to SQL/Python and then June to the visualization tools in this stage of my self-learning.
My goal is to start the Google Certification in July and finish before December!
Workable?
Your resources will really come in handy and I feel confident.
I will follow your channel. And I am certain we will see more of each other going forward.
Wish myself luck!
Its good to get an understanding of where you are so you know how to move from it. I would give yourself more time with SQL/Python as they generally tend to be trickier to understand than the other tools. Wish you good luck on your journey and any questions feel free to drop me a line 👌🏾👌🏾
Good video for aspiring data analyst and Your Clear-Cut points are awesome

Great advice. Thank you. Trying to move into Data from over a decade in a completely unrelated field in the performing arts, so this gives me hope that I can make up for a lack of industry and sector experience by developing a strong skill set with industry recognised certifications.
You deffo can do it if you put in the work as we all have to start somewhere
great video, thank you!

Luckily for you power query is a core part of Power BI so that will be helpful in your learning. Happy to hear you enjoyed it
Data analyst turned data engineer. Everything you mentioned is spot on 💯
👌🏾👌🏾
Do you need DSA to be a data engineer
@@abhisekgupta1543 what’s DSA?
I'm a data analyst but I want to switch to being a data engineer because to be honest, data engineers earn better. What do I need to earn to make the switch?
@@leonardezeigbo6583
1. try and use as much python and sql in your current job as you can
2. Get AWS CCP certificate
3. Apply for DE roles

🎉Great advice
Thanks man
Thank you 🙏🏾
No problem 😊
Happy I found your channel 🎉
Glad the video was valuable :)
Thanks man
This is a great video offering sound advice. What's the math level you're use at your current job? Any advanced concepts? Coursera also has a power bi data analyst path now. Not sure if it's better than Google's data analyst. Also, what software did you use to edit this video? All the animation effects look great.
Thanks and nothing advanced needed tbh with you but knowledge of statistics deffo helps (mode, median, average etc). I also use Davinci Resolve
Thank you for this video. I believe my main problems are sql and interview.
No worries at all and all that requires is practice to get past both obstacles so you got this.
I really love everything about your video.. you deliver flawlessly ❤❤.. you should have your own tv show and talk about anything and I will be there to listen and follow. To answer your question why I am here.. well, I have been flirting with the idea of becoming a data analyst for a while and almost finished my Google certificate. I have applied for couple of positions and been interviewing but still no offer.. another interview coming up soon.. wish me luck 🍀
Really appreciate the kind words. It means a lot. I deffo don’t think I’m good enough at speaking to do all of that 🤣🤣🤣 but thanks. I pray you get a job offer soon 🙏🏾 alongside smashing the upcoming interview 👌🏾
I like your video man, thanks a lot. In fact, I have taken down the links. I'm so grateful.
You're welcome
Thank you Sir for great informative roadmap for DA
No worries at all :)
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you
nice vdeos, i'm glad to find someone from the UK making data analytics videos. i'm thinking about getting into it this year, but hearing mixed things about the job market in 2024, what do you think about that?
Thanks and didn't know I was the first from the UK tbh. I think you should go for it. The market isn't the best right now but use this opportunity now to learn so when the market is better again you are more than ready to excel. You can also at the same time still apply for roles during the down market.
Will come back here again.
Thanks man
Got the PL -300 certification and PL-200 Certification.
I know Tableau too
Learning SQL and Python
