Avoid Xiaomi, original replacement filters can suddenly disappear from the market, once they stopped making the old models. I'm still super annoyed that my Xiaomi 3C doesn't have replacement filters anymore.
Can you please test the new Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 Elite? Its their biggest one yet. I just bought it and seems to be doing an excellent job. Should I be worried about its plasma ionizer? I can turn it off but don't want to if there is no ozone generated

Levoit slightly better performance, Levoit filters are easy to find, Levoit is more confident in their product by offering 2 year warranty, Levoit has earned their good reputation, their are a lot of little companies like Xiaomi coming and going, sounds to me like the Xiaomi wont last as long and won't be around as long, the filters will have low demand and will probably stop being made, think more logically don't buy something just because it's cheaper, you get what you pay for is true

Xiaomi has been known to suddenly stop producing/selling replacement filters for older models. Their 2 and 3 series models - which aren't even that old - don't have replacement filters anymore, making them obsolete. I would recommend going with Levoit instead.
It has a Xiaomi High-Efficiency Filter, which performs on par with a True HEPA filter. They both have 99.97% efficiency in trapping particles as small as 0.3 microns.
I have 4 compact. I keep it next to the kitchen. The auto mode just keeps working on the same speed with green light on even when I frying or cooking something else. Why?

I have a 300 and it makes an annoying bearing noise in the two lowest settings.. does the xioami do this ? Is it the fan audabile when in besides the air moving?

I haven't tested the Xiaomi Elite yet, but I plan to buy it in the future. Until then, I can't say which one would be a better buying option.

It should detect bad air quality and switch to the highest speed. I suggest asking for a warranty or a replacement unit.

Frankly, there is almost no difference in the noise production of these two air purifiers.
The initial purchase price difference between them justifies buying the Xiaomi. The price difference can be used to purchase 3 filter changes.
