Please remaster this! I love Airborne! Oh man I just love the detailed little things they put in this game, such as:
1. The way your vision blurred for a second when viewing through scope (for your eyes to adjust)
2. The hands-weapons actions when crouching, standing from crouching, dropping from height, sprinting
3. The shaking-zoom in screen when sprinting (adds to the tension)
4. The clicking-like sound when you aim (its kinda weird but I love it hehe)
5. The violent recoil of most of the automatic weapons and the flashing really leaves you with only short, controlled bursts when firing. This again adds to the tension
The sounds in this are great! I remember first time playing this game in 2015 (yup, 2015) and thinking 'wow this game really has good sounds'. Remember, before this I've played many other WW2 shooters, such as COD series. Later when I unlocked the extra video contents, I learned that the developer really recorded actual equipment and vehicles sounds, which impressed me even further. My favorite weapon is the MP44, and the sound is awesome!
On the downside, I REALLY wish I could make the compass, ammo count, and crosshair disappear. Also, a smudged, dirty or cracked lens scope-view will add to the detail. These really could add some element of realism. Oh and also, the sound when you picked up a medkit is weird haha.
To those who are new to playing Airborne, I'd recommend that you played it my style: Hardest Difficulty and aim not to die in a level, as a form of realism. This way of playing really puts you in a very great way to enjoy the game. As if you're in a real war zone, you land in the safe zones, then press on slowly toward your objectives, mostly crouching and moving from cover to cover. Then peek from covers to get a look and a shot at your enemies. In Hardest Difficulty, you'll damage much faster when being shot. Therefore you'll try your best not to get shot. Really, you'll think many times before deciding to run across open areas. Hence the importance of cover in this game. The controls in this game are a bit different from other FPSs, at first I was annoyed, but really, when you've mastered it, you'll appreciate why they're designed that way.
My personal record is that I've beat every mission in this style of playing, except the last part of the last level, in the basement of the Flak Tower. I can never get pass the Super Stormtroopers carrying the MGs, they're tough as hell to defeat when in groups.
On a side note, I learned from a video that in the Nazi Germany military manual, some soldiers (selected guys I assume) are to wield the MG and fire from the hips when required to. And the Super Stormtroopers in this game did just that. I didn't see they ever took aim, they just fire at you when they see you. I couldn't understand why they wore gas masks though, but they really look menacing with those masks. Hell, when you encounter those guys in Hardest, your heart really beats like crazy. They're scary bunch. That's what beautiful about this game.
All in all, I really glad I found this game :)
Also, in Airborne, they've put in the music soundtrack from the original Medal of Honor! (the last level of the original game). I loved the music back then as it was intense. When I heard it again while playing Airborne, I was in tears.
It was pretty awesome .. when I played back in the day .. multiplayer was pretty fun too! hopefully they make another one with a 64-player multiplayer.
played it in 2011 this game is a thing of beauty indeed everything from uniforms battle chatter gun sounds (especially the BAR) and level design was amazing.
PS. Operation Varsity was a pain in the ass in hardest difficulty all those marksmen going ham with their G43s
I think i'll go back and play this game again? I loved it. Nothing ruins your day more than a tank showing up though. LOL.

I found this mission more frustrating/difficult than 'Der Flakturm', or any other mission in the game....but, I have learned some secrets to make it easier......

Mr. Stano How are you sure there’d be a remaster version? It would be cool but man this game is pretty old. MoH title has been someone dead but once rise again after their new announcement of the VR game they’ll be releasing.

Very cool detail in 15:52 , the radio chatter talks about the battleship firing at the coast bunkers, that is why we find the main boss bunker had a hole blown through. But did you know, if you take the spotting tower last, you can climb on top of it, and literally see the battleship firing and the shells impacting the bunker? That is extremely cool and a attention to detail if i say myself!

You know the detail in this game is nuts when you blow up tanks, and you can hear the crew still alive inside burning alive. If you don't believe me, replay this and blow up a tank, then get really close. The screams only last a few seconds though

If you have STG 44 Assault Rifle, never use Submachine Guns like Thompson or MP 40, since STG 44 is technically a Jack-of-all-trades weapons with 7.92x33mm Kurz Intermediate Cartridge in between Short and Long Ranges, accuracy is good in Iron Sight, but accuracy is terrible if equipped with scope unless Long Range combat.

I want to love this game but on the xbox the controls are unendurable after a decade with CoD controls.
Plus, probably not the game’s fault, after beating it with 5 gold stars on all but ONE mission, suddenly the game doesnt let me save the 5th gold star on a mission. Does anybody know if that is a glitch or the game just doesnt update stars after your initial playthrough? Either way, with my ocd it kinda sucks knowing i will NEVER get a perfect 5 gold star for every mission, so no final Medal achievement.
