Metro Exodus EE - Drive out of Novosibirsk

- Thought to record this. This segment here, right towards the end of Metro Exodus, is one of the most beautiful and powerful scenes in games I have ever seen. The protagonist drives out of a nuked-out Novosibirsk in a nuclear winter, dying of radiation poisoning. The music and the setting is just so beautiful.
Game: Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition.
Game running on PC at 1620p (DLDSR). All settings maxed out including ray-tracing. - Hry
God I was sobbing, as soon as he said "Stay with me son" "Don't you dare die, what will I say to her?" God, Miller was such a good character.
Just finished the metro and that was the most heartbreaking scene I have ever seen.
Im so sad that miller died and plus he used the green stuff on artyom and not on himself 😢

You leave one metro system to go into another to save the person you love. it makes me think of this quote from the book of metro 2033 "Those who are bold enough to spend their life facing the darkness are the first ones who will spot the light"
Yeah it came full circle in the last part of the game. Not surprisingly, the last chapter (Novosibirsk) was also my favorite.
It's interesting that a cut dialogue from this scene indicates that the Dark Ones are in the city and are the ones who guided Artyom to the medicine and Miller to Artyom. It makes you wonder why they didn't show themselves to people who they must know are friends.
Even then... In the books they get nuked... well, their Anthill gets bomb-raped like Dresden '45.
The dark ones have known Artyom since he was a child. They have always looked out for him.

Not just cut dialogue. Several static Dark One models can be found out of bounds on the final cutscene map. Maybe the dying Artyom was gonna see visions of the Dark Ones. Who knows, still cool either way.
i think it's better off the way they did it, if you pay attention, you see dark ones, especially on scenes where artyom hallucinates, so they did guide him, just more hands off compared to previous metro games, that they are acting as angels, taking care of you, without you knowing unless you look for them
This ending is even more sad after playing the dlc
i do not cry from games or movies or whatever, but this is the first time ever i was audibly saying "damn.." and a tear shed
woman #1: I can't believe men don't cry when jack dies (in titanic)

How this game managed to make the end feel like the morning on a white Christmas while being a tragic end of two (depending) characters is beyond me
Just pressing W button and listening to this masterpiece.
This ending (sad ending for me) was one of the finest gaming moments ever. And I have played a few over the years. 😊

Yeah even the "good" ending of the game hits you damn hard. I suppose this game is best experienced in Russian audio.

It is worth noting that the voice acting is quite good. Of course, it was not possible to completely remake the emotions, but the attempt is very good.
Metro Exodus is such a good game. Good old memories....

Yeah. I see a lot of people talk about RDR2's ending, but I consider Metro Exodus' ending (even the good one) to hit quite hard too.

I've never heard the line that Kiril says at 3:32 before and I've played through every difficulty at least twice now. Amazed that line exists.
The line I usually hear is "Wow, so many cars!" because of all the cars bumper to bumper on the overpass you're approaching, this line about his gratitude is a much better line.
Its different when you know the orginal plot from book and sad to imagine Miller was bad

i remember in 2010 when i wasnt able to play correctly to metro 2033 so i used a cloud gaming service
and then i finished metro exodus just yesterday (i know im late to the party) and shit the ending hurts. even tho i had the good ending..

I cried in this game, my favorite game.
if u have free time in your life, play metro series, after 3 games and im at the ending,i have lived with them,listened to them,helped them and i was having good time with them,miller the commander, the leader of my crew,the one who cares about his people,khan and his wisdom,anna and her strong charecter with tender heart,IDIOT the planning mind and strong speech,duke the child hero,stepan the giant heart,krest and the ciggrates we had in the back of the train laughing about every shit happened to us,aloshya and his high energy spirit, others,,,felt like a family.... that i dont know how i will say goodbye to them......
Yeah man. This game and series felt different somehow. Hit deeper than most of even good games do.

Даже несмотря на то, что я давно знал весь сюжет игры, эта сцена всё-таки смогла выдавить из меня слезу.
Чтобы полностью погрузиться в игру, всё же нужно её самому проходить.
Я сам из России, но никому зла не желаю. Желаю украинским разработчикам выпустить новую часть такую же классную.

Обажаю эту игру и хотел в неё поиграть с самого момента выхода, но смог только в этом году, так как наконец смог себе позволить собрать новый пк. Ни разу не пожалел потраченного времени. Пожалуй это одна из самых душевных игр в которые я играл.
Вот смотришь и уровень Русской озвучки совсем на другом уровне.

@@gamestation1993 You can't go literally straight,there's a turn right in about 25/30 seconds after you start. And all is blended and white from snow. Easy to miss.

Man, beat this game after 27 hours of botched attempts. Loved it so much i teared up at the bad ending
The bad ending was too depressing IMO.
before the Ukraine war started I heard a 4th was in the books for production and that it might have a coop of sorts... if they do make a 4th, i don't care about the coop though it would be neat to see how they'd implement it, the only thing i want to see in the game 100% is a memorial to Colonel Mel'nikov even if it's just the grave on the hill with the tree overlooking Lake Baikal

На русском озвучка наша оригинал гораздо круче. Хотя те кто озвучивал на английском тоже очень постарались...
I listened to the English voice acting, our voice is still better, more emotional, unfortunately, this is not felt in the original, and the atmosphere disappears because of this, it is better to listen to audio in Russian with English subtitles, I think the author will agree with me
I first played a bit when a friend brought his ps3 copy of Metro Last Light over during a stay-over on a school weekend... I went first and had english audio + subs... my friend went with Russian Audio + English Subs... not only was he better since he played it more so was more used to it, the game drew me in more cause i'd hear russian whilst in a russian metro and the english subs were there so i knew what the hell people were talking about... when i latter got the redux edition of the first 2 games i only played them in russian with English subtitles as it's my belief that the only audio language you should be able to choose from is Russian with local translations for the subtitles... I guess it's because you are able to notice more intonations and inflections in the characters speech when the audio language is in Russian

Mill это мельница на английском. Вопрос локализации фамилий конечно спорный, но как по мне более зазорно это перевод с акцентом. Ну емае, могли же нанять нормальных native speaker чем вот этот позор показывать иностранцам, который реально портит атмосферу

Потому что на английском само слово мельник переводится как miller, и у них так же есть фамилии которые ассоциируются

Metro 2033. Metro Last Light. Metro Exodus.
You can get Metro 2033 and Last Light both in a single package called Metro Redux. Metro Redux has remastered/remade versions of both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light with updated graphics etc. So get that if you plan on starting and playing the Metro series.
Then for Metro Exodus, go for the Enhanced Edition if your PC/console supports it. It's the remastered version of Metro Exodus graphics etc. wise.

I am guessing the game depicts a highly fictionalized version of the city. I mean, among other things, the game shows the city decades after being hit with nukes.

Розуміти що таких ігор більше не буде, досить тяжко, а ще як згадати що цей витвір мистецтва створений завдяки нашим хлопцям, які зараз гинуть на фронті, це тяжко усвідомити, але задумку Metro не кожен зрозуміє, я вражений на скільки бурхливі емоції може визвати Metro, про музичний супровід я мовчу,(це можна слухати вічність))))). Hopefully, there will be Metro games in the future too. I read that 4A Games is already working on it. What they have produced is truly special and unique.

Конечно жу будут еще игры. Такие игры больше заходят нам так как здесь чувствуется дух постсоветской атмосферы, которая обыденна в большинстве стран СНГ. Ждем сталкер, хотя я за него уже опасаюсь, так как из потенциального продолжения легендарной серии может превратиться в пропогандисткую помойку без изюминки. Также недавно вышедшая Атомик хеарт тоже стала захватывающей игрой. Короче, пожелаем русскому и украинскому игропрому удачи в это нелегкое время.
