ellie told joel to get up right before he died the same way she told him to get up when he got impaled by rebar. Joel was unstoppable in ellies eyes. He was always there for her. He always pushed through the impossible. He was at deaths door during that winter in the first game and he said no. He got right back on the horse and killed all of davids men. in Lou2, Ellie told him to get up thinking that they've survived worse and this will be just another monday. They'll escape and go home and watch that movie ellie was talking to dina about. it was only until she realized that he is actually dying, that this is the last time he will ever look at her, that is when she started begging for his life.
wow i always thought it was just stupid of her to tell him to get up when his face is bashed in and there's no coming back but like you pointed out it was much worse in the LoU1 and he still endured it. Great observation.
@@CrusardModding It’s a heartbreaking scene. I just feel so bad for everything that Ellie goes through. Joel’s death was tragic, but he died so Ellie could live. If he knew that him saving Ellie would mean his torture and death he would’ve still done it. Joel got his happiness is seeing Ellie alive. In seeing her grow up. Have a crush. Fall in love. Even if he couldn’t be in it, it didn’t matter. Thankfully he died knowing Ellie loves him and wants to forgive him. Ellie didn’t understand why Joel did what he did until it was too late, and unfortunately took 1 day too long to fix things, and then her chance was taken away, which made her understandably go crazy in rage and grief. She has gone through so much mentally... very tragic stuff. However Ellie’s strength, resilience and willpower to live even after hitting rock bottom is honestly in a way inspiring. She’s gone through immense physical and mental trauma since 14, and hit absolute rock bottom in Part 2, and yet she still picks herself back up. She still finds her life worth fighting for. I think everybody probably already knows this one, but Ellie's Tattoo is of a Moth, the same moth that is on Joel's guitar. Just for anyone who didn't notice, but pretty sure it's obvious.
Great video!👍 I didnt even know about the guy who greets Ellie. That was awesome lol 😂. I also noticed when you play Joel's song on guitar wrong with ellie before take on me, she has few reactions to it. But to be honest, when i played tlou 1 i totally disagreed with Joel telling Ellie that she didnt know what loss was. I mean, at first place, she didnt have parents at all. She lost Riley, someone she really loved AND in her very young age. We dont actually know what else happend in her childhood and how many loved ones has gone in her life but i dont think it was a big sunshine party. He didnt even have idea about how it is like to be borned in this shitty world being overwhelmed by the fear all the time. Losing Joel was on the top of losing herself so it happend unfortunately. But i am looking forward so much to part III. I think it could be the last part and not that depressed. Ellie will find peace and new life. Perhaps she will eventually be friend with Abby who knows? 🤷
Of course u disagree w joel cuz ellie KNOW what loss is and she knew it even before part 2, the fact is that joel DIDN'T KNOW her past but WE KNOW it!! That scene is truly one of my favorite in all video games history because it's so touching and make u realize (even more after part 2) the bigger picture and how we often don't understand it, how complicate life is sometime and how tragic things can go. I love so fuckin much this game and i can't wait for part 3 and i think the same that it will be the last and less depressed part but i don't think ellie and abby will be friends tbh
Tbh How I think TLOU3 will play out is there will be a 15 year time jump JJ will be In his teens, while Ellie is 30 something Ellie is looking for tommy but she figures out tommy passed away, then she loses all hope until she finds a Firefly base where she finds Grown up JJ as a Healthcare worker she bonds with JJ one more time before She decides she wants to make a vaccine she sheds a tear and tells JJ she's ready. The operation is successful the world is a better place, JJ is happy but sad as he's crying on Ellies deceased body.
I'm strictly a PC gamer so I'll never play the game unless it's released for Windows but I'm totally immersed in the story and characters of this game.
Most people who actually played the game like it already but there were a few very loud people who thought they needed to share their opinion like anyone gave a fuck.
I think this is just the older generation of the apocalypse speaking to the younger generation here. Joel lost everything he had, mainly his daughter on HIS BIRTHDAY (or a few hours after), every friend, even Tommy had left him after their hunter years in wich they did terrible things. I think joel knows more what loss is than ellie at that point, even though its no competition
Since the other video did so well, here's some MORE secret details you probably missed. Hope you all enjoyed it! Big thanks to everyone who helped me reach 10K! ❤

Can you make “out of the bounds 4” and show the discussion between Dina and Tommy after Tommy leaves the más to Ellie!!!😁
"Deers"? Lol oh swell. I get you 😆
I have come more fast than my classes
I miss Joel :(
Lmao same
I think everybody probably already knows this one, but Ellie's Tattoo is of a Moth, the same moth that is on Joel's guitar. Just for anyone who didn't notice, but pretty sure it's obvious.
Waiting for more vids, dude. You are amazing.
ellie already knew what loss is because riley
Yes but Joel didnt know that story yet, he learns that in the end of part 1
Of course I noticed Buckley he so cute
0:23 you posted this video after my dog died, so sad
R.i.p Callus
2022 and I am still here
Haha of course we missed some of them considering we couldn't possibly have seen them without this software 😄
Really cool video though. I love it.
How can you control the camera like that in Cinematics scenes??
Oh god this game making me cry 😿
when new episode is coming i love this series also keep up the good work
Awesome work! Thanks guys!👏
Callus shot by cannibals and died then shimmer died in a explosion ellie came to this world to lose. Probably she will lose her life in part 3.
Played last of us twice and finished part II twice as well
Hey can someone please tell me how can you move the camera like that ?
I love seeing this game receive.. well. Love. Keep up the entertaing and unique vids my guy!

Gotta love Buckley.
Anyone else notice Ellie wears her hair similar to Tess's from part one
I loved the horse

I'm so fan of the first game that all the details in this game i noticed it from my first playthrough.
What kinda name is Buckley?? -Joel Miller
2.13 what music is that name pls
This game still surprises me.
HORRAY!!! TOMMYS DOG SURVIVED!!! :D
How do you make this posible? special coding or emulating?
How do you pause and move the cam around like that?
Its play on a moded ps4
I'm strictly a PC gamer so I'll never play the game unless it's released for Windows but I'm totally immersed in the story and characters of this game.
Are people finally starting to come round to the idea that this is actually a decent game?
No, haters still need plenty of time. Same thing happened with MGS2.
No
Most people who actually played the game like it already but there were a few very loud people who thought they needed to share their opinion like anyone gave a fuck.
The game itself is great. The story on the other hand...
What happens if you follow Abby out of the cicadas ' basement in the gray mission?
Music?
1:08 Joel was such a boomer over here.
Adults always assume you being younger or a kid don't know what pain/loss is.
He’s assuming that because he has seen some shit he had to kill his neighbour his daughter died in his arms
Thank you for your video. Half an hour ago I was forced to pay 1500$ but your video made me feel comfort.
