They were drilling for oil in 1859, this game had a semi government running things in some places. If they were using vehicles, they were using fuel. They could of been making their own fuel. There's also Pyrolysis which involves heating plastic in an oxygen-free environment, causing the materials to break down and creating new liquid or gas fuels in the process. I've always wanted a back story from those people who are just written in letters or papers and see what actually happens, and they did it to Bill. I'm glad I aint watching a walkthrough in series but an alternative way of doing the show, Bitter and Angry Bill is already a thing in this game, its fine to see his other side before everything went shit. Besides, its the last of us and based of Bill and Frank's story, they gave the last of themselves till death do them apart.
For years, we imagined how the interaction between Ellie and Joel would look like in a tv series. Unfortunately, we'll never see that. So disappointing.
Glad you enjoyed it, I did as well. I personally preferred the game version. I felt it was more meaningful and true to life and relatable. The show version felt like a romance movie with a fairy tale ending. The game was dark, Bill stuck in his ways, Frank leaving and hanging himself, Bill ending up all alone because he like many people cant change who they are at their core. You also see the parallels between him and what Joel is and would be if he didnt change being with Ellie. He was the Bill character between him and Tess. I think the best thing to do, is instead of comparing and fighting over which is "better", try to see them each as their own separate things. That way you can appreciate them as they are instead of slighting one or the other depending on your opinion.
pisses me off that they took this bill and turned him into a gay dad who commits suicide after his "lover" has terminal cancer or some shi where as here hes a hardened survivalist who'd never even consider the thought and pushed his "partner" away cause hes such a hardass and yet at the end of the day hes a man of his word who will pay his debts to people who paid theirs
How is bill a gay dad if he’s gay and obviously adoption ain’t a thing here. And wouldn’t it make more sense that a honorable hardass survivalist who keeps his word wouldn’t push away the one person he loved in a scenario where he knows that person would likely die without them and yeah the hard ass survivalist probably only stayed in this lone wolf act because he became devoid of compassion so wouldn’t it also make sense that if when that type of person finally lets someone in and that someone dies that the survivalist Bill wouldn’t see the purpose any more in surviving
Bill is a interesting character he owes 'Joel some favors'. What's the game? I highly recommend you play it to find out. It's one of the greatest games to ever be made. It's available on PS3, PS4, PS5.

Engine blocks should be fine - we have seen engines that are 100 years old and they are fine. More of an issue will be all rubber parts / plastics. Battery should not be an issue - just get dirty and make one... heck you don't even need a battery, you can make a hand crank. Authors of the game are sooooo tech challenged. Better response would be, "with what should I fix these cars" - i.e. luck of tools.... but it should not be hard to find these if they found guns. Finally, out of fuel - well get a diesel and produce some bio diesel - you can even use infected as fuel source.
@@lukewhatidid1735 Depends what you define as young. She was young but people near her are over 50. And I believe the game is set around present time - if I remember correctly the fungal infection is from 2003 or something like that. So these older guys should know how to drive a manual.
Would of been good as a seperate show in itself. Could of been great to see how that love then became Frank wanting to leave Bill high and dry. And How Bill became so bitter and disgusting towards everyone around him.
People are mad about Bill's portrayal in the show lmao Some of you clearly don't realise he was very much gay in the game and missed the clues. Not only that, but the show was able to humanise side-characters even more (like Tess and now Bill) and give them a complex story that is absolutely vital to Joel's and Ellie's arc. Bill shows that despite all the evil, cruelty and loss in the world, there is always that one person worth saving as he mentioned in the letter to Joel and that one person was Frank. Now, that one person for Joel will be Ellie. Like I said, not only it humanised Bill, it also gave us one of the most beautiful stories and no, it's not some "gay propaganda" or "woke" stuff. You're okay with straight couples being always present in basically every show or movie but when there is a gay couple, you people have an issue with that.
@@denisjon6873 that's your opinion and i completly disagree. The episode was a masterpiece and made more sense to Bill since it's a character that you only visit once in the whole lore of the game. So kudos to the producer for their choice, it was brilliant.
@@denisjon6873 The Fact is they needed a car, your point is just wrong because even the letter wasn't important, only the car. The sequence both in the show and the game was primarily for world building and Joel's connection to the world and Ellie which is exactly what the episode did. If you wanted to watch people mindlessly fight goons without agency, you can go watch the walking dead.
Neil Druckmann (director of the game and show) probably just wanted to use that story to demonstrate the kind of joyful life Joel could have. Plus it's cheaper to make an episode like that instead of a bunch of infected in action scenes. Other than that, don't know why. I think Bill's story serves better as an example of the future Joel will have if he doesn't open up to Ellie.

This game makes me want a daughter so bad
For years, we imagined how the interaction between Ellie and Joel would look like in a tv series. Unfortunately, we'll never see that. So disappointing.
I wish Bill somehow made a comeback in TLOU part 2
That would have been cool!
graphics look much better than when i played it back on PS3?
Yeah, it's amazing the technological capabilities that the technology has gotten to!
Bill was better than jesse, dina, abby, Owen, the pregnant chick, the chinese chick, lev, the mexican dude, etc... put together
TLOU II plot wise, was such a pile of garbage.
Nah, Dina was the shit
@@modafuknbreadcrumbs4168 yeah her personality and character development was unique
I'm half through the game and I agree. Definitely not as memorable as the first game, and the plot is all over the place.
@@FlashBack1138 Neil had good ideas, just too many for one story.
Yo I cannot wait how they’re gonna do it in the live action😂
Right! It will be interesting to see.
They ain't
they didnt
SMH didn’t happen just got a gay bill episode
About that...
Yep, nowhere close...
Show < game. Sorry
Don't be sorry. We were robbed of this over fanfiction level writing and people coping over the "best adaptation of all time EVER!"
Don't be sorry Dale
He could have been Dan Harmon
Yep. The show got it better. As much as I wanted to see Bill and Ellie hating eachother, I prefer him and frank happing a happy ending.
Nah. From the way I see it, TLOU isn't about happy endings. It's about how bitter the world has become and how we will cling to whatever we have left.
It was implied in the game that he was gay...but we didn't need an entire movie about his life with Frank. AND they fucking killed him off screen.
How is bill a gay dad if he’s gay and obviously adoption ain’t a thing here. And wouldn’t it make more sense that a honorable hardass survivalist who keeps his word wouldn’t push away the one person he loved in a scenario where he knows that person would likely die without them and yeah the hard ass survivalist probably only stayed in this lone wolf act because he became devoid of compassion so wouldn’t it also make sense that if when that type of person finally lets someone in and that someone dies that the survivalist Bill wouldn’t see the purpose any more in surviving
who is bill what is this game
Bill is a interesting character he owes 'Joel some favors'. What's the game? I highly recommend you play it to find out. It's one of the greatest games to ever be made. It's available on PS3, PS4, PS5.
@@Apacheindiankid intestine fact I want learn more
@@icecold1249 think the walking dead world, only on TLOU people dont turn into zombies they they are called "Infected" in TLOU, their are many different forms of "Infected". This game, and the TLOU 2 are really two excellent games, i would highly recommend you check them out to play if you can.
thank u I would do anything to support the channel
@@icecold1249 thank you pal!✌️
Funniest Mlm and wlw beef
Oh my god the show is so much better with Bill& Fred. Eli may not talk as much in the show or kill as often, but a whole episode seeing the goods and bads of a side character is fantastic.
Dude Fred is definitely my favourite TLOU character
Fred and Barney are my faves
That show is gay
i know bill is gay because he has gay magazine.😆
And that's all we needed to know about Bill's preferences. We didn't need the gay version of The Notebook
Episode 3 completely messed up the bill character smh
The game version of Bill is so much better than the show.
Of course
Their both good in their own way.
Lol how many young people you know can even drive a manual let alone make a car battery without any internet to look crap up
@@lukewhatidid1735 Depends what you define as young. She was young but people near her are over 50. And I believe the game is set around present time - if I remember correctly the fungal infection is from 2003 or something like that.
So these older guys should know how to drive a manual.
@@tomk3732 in the show maybe but the game opens in 2013, the original release year and takes place in 2033, 20 years after the infection first started
Ellie is so annoying in this scene 😂
She's a little kid. I give her some slack because her role is to be the child
Well she is a kid but I thought parts were kind of funny to be honest.
This is a million miles better from the show version!
nah
Show was better for sure
This is better.
This was better. Less gay
Show got it way better
Just stick to the games.
When I heard Nick was playing Bill I thought it would be fantastic. Instead it was a so so decent but irrelevant episode of TV
The episode was pretty mediocre in moving the plot forward for a season with 9 episodes.
@@denisjon6873 that's your opinion and i completly disagree. The episode was a masterpiece and made more sense to Bill since it's a character that you only visit once in the whole lore of the game. So kudos to the producer for their choice, it was brilliant.
Fr the game even showed Ellie kissing Dina 😭😭
@@Sn00py89 It's not even an opinion, the only part that moved the current plot forward was Bill's letter to Joel. That's a fact.
Is it known why the show didn't adapt this, never played the games or watched anyone
Neil Druckmann (director of the game and show) probably just wanted to use that story to demonstrate the kind of joyful life Joel could have. Plus it's cheaper to make an episode like that instead of a bunch of infected in action scenes.
Other than that, don't know why. I think Bill's story serves better as an example of the future Joel will have if he doesn't open up to Ellie.
what a shame we will never see that scene in the series.. what a waste....
Episode 3 was Disappointing af because Bill was Survivalist...they will survive anything that's their thing ...and killing yourself because you lost your boyfriend is sooo dumb 🥲💀
