Your comment on how it rides like a BUICK, made me grin. You have a true Land Yacht. We owned the real thing, though, an 84 BUICK LeSaber. It would wallow thru curves. And like everyone else, you bought the one that suited you needs.

Great choice of a machine. I have a 2018 polaris ranger 900xp, and really like it. I use it around the acreage and my horses for everything, hauling hay to pulling my small manure spreader. I also trail ride and went to Wisconsin twice this year and had no problems at all. I get better than 14 mpg and it runs and rides great! I am heading to the Big Horns in July of 2020 and that should be fun. I also have a 2002 polaris 500 that I bought new with a winch and a 6ft snow plow that I am still using and it would be hard to beat it for snow plowing it does great!

Just came across your ranger review. I agree with everything you said about it! I have a 2019 xp900 crew and love it. I cut fire wood too, hedge or some call it Osage Orange. Very heavy hard wood. I can load up the back plus pull my trailer without any problems. I know it's not a rugged trail machine like a razor but it's still a great fun machine! I did add a roof , windshield, canvas doors, heater, turn signals and it's road legal now . I do drive in to town for gas and go to lunch and never been stopped. Great fun year around! I do love your videos and you have a great place. Looking forward to more videos. Thank you and God bless 👍

    Mike,
A little over a year ago, I found your channel while searching "polaris ranger reviews" and watched your first review on the machine. Since then, by following your channel, I've "needed" to buy, a Ranger, utility trailer, JD 3046R, grapple, 5k equipment trailer, of course a bigger truck to pull all this with, a few stihl saws, mingo marker and on and on. You sure are costing me money!! No seriously, I've enjoyed watching your channel grow, it's by far the most relatable out there for me. I too am in the oil and gas industry, thankfully they help support my spending habits. Once again, I appreciate all the work you and your family put into the channel.

My grandfather bought a Polaris ranger 500 about 10 years ago. Despite his tendency to be kinda rough on equipment, it's still going strong. Had to replace the ignition switch, and he tore an axle boot and bent an A-arm running over an old mobile home axle as the leaf spring hung up in the A-arm. I had to lift the ranger off with a tractor. I replaced the boot, but he refused to have the A-arm replaced. Other than that, it has had no issues.

HI Mike, Don't sell the ranger short. I have a 2014 browning edition ranger XP 900 and have been all over Moab with it including hells revenge and I was able to do everything the RZR's did. I have over 9000 miles on mine and it has been extremely reliable. This is my 3rd ranger and I have used them all for serious off road work. They perform better off road than some give them credit. Bottom line is I use mine on the ranch daily as well and is my solid choice for work and play as well. Enjoy!

In a few years. Also we need a taxi to go to the trailhead to bring out friends. So you work in the oil biz, cool. I did many years in oil related work in Alaska.. Seismic, Well Logging Tech, then communications mostly oil related.

I bought a new Polaris EV (electric vehicle) in 2013 and couldn't be happier. When I moved to the country in 1999, I got by for years with a lifted golf cart - living a half mile off the road even a trip to the mailbox was an adventure. But the Polaris' payload, towing capacity, and traction options have proved to be invaluable. I use mine in much the same way as you do yours, hauling brush, firewood, etc., pulling a spreader for food plots, hauling out a deer or two, mailbox trips, and fun transportation for the grandchildren. So far, I haven't had a single problem with mine, although in my area Polaris is known for being long on sales and short on service. They are particularly ignorant regarding the EV line. Nonetheless, Polaris was a good choice for my needs.

The bottom line is, if the tool works for you, then it's the right tool. I have a 2017 Ranger (2 seater) and an old beater 2004 John Deere Gator that we use on our property. Both machines do what we ask and help us do a lot of work. My Polaris Ranger along with the winch that I added helped me to get my tractor unstuck (don't ask).
I eventually want to get a "crew" version of a UTV whether it's another Polaris, John Deere, etc. It would be nice to have when we have family/friends over to give tours of our property.

@ 2:12 bummer... I'm in rural TN & have mine registered as a medium speed vehicle. We can drive on any roads where the speed limit is up to 45 mph. With where I live I can: take the kids to school, go to the dump, 4 gas stations with grills & 1 dollar store, lol Plus there are tons of trails & falls we visit around here that you can only access on horseback or with an atv. Originally got it as a work horse for our 20 acre homestead & it has been instrumental in gathering fire wood up out of the valley. As a bonus we load it up & go to various off road parks once in a while too. Polaris makes great products & the RANGER is my fav!!! The ONLY issue I've ever had is putting it in PARK on an incline(I'm in the mountains). Shifter once got stuck in a bind. Purchased an aftermarket emergency parking break & problem solved. Keep the great content coming!

The people saying all the so-called bad things about that Rangers and Sportsmans are people who use them for things they were not made for. Like mud and water over the seats. And I can speak from years of ownership, and the Rangers and Sportsmans are some of the best. I've had my oldest one, an 800 EFI Rangers since 2006, and I've had very little issues with it considering how old it is and what I've put it through. Just maintain it like you should, don't sink it and fill the engine and belt cover with muddy water, and it will last and do its job for many years to come. And if you do fill the belt cover full of muddy water, just clean it out and it will be fine. These people that have issues are the ones who don't take care of them and never clean the muddy dirt out of there clutch and belt.
Not to mention it tows more and has a higher payload than most.

Kubota side by sides are great machines
But very limited to where it can go
    the ranger can go anywhere

I have a 2012 Ranger 800 crew and overall have been happy with it after I corrected a few issues. Started off with factory steel wheels and went through 3 tires and bent two rims in two months. We have alot of rocky terrain and multiple trails cross our creek. Switched to aluminum wheels and 8 ply tires and that issue was resolved. The Ranger ground clearance is better than most other UTV's although I still have some nice gashes and holes in the floor. I should have went with a heavy steel skid plate. I have to also watch the load in the bed when going up the trails with over a 25 degree slope angle (over 45 % slope). I have had to rely on the winch on those trails when it is wet and muddy. It is also a bit sluggish when crossing the creek when the water runs over the floor. All in all it still serves me well and and eventually when I replace it I will make some of the upgrades from the start.
