I love the double duties that you’ve put your airbrush up to, using it to just blow the dust off the gears by passing air through it. Then I go missing the goods by typing a comment, WTF, so you’ve enhanced the backlighting of your MV, or added some extra LEDs?! Woah?! Dude!! You’ve gone and completely overhauled those slider pot. OKAY I’m like glued to your channel!! This is some good stuff, did you plan all this ahead of time, or you’re working off of previous knowledge, and / or you’re an apprentice? VERY CLEAN NOW!! Thanks a bunch for sharing this, nice beat too!
Not bad Mods, Cleanup, Mods Tactile Button Upgrade, Power Supply Capacitor Upgrade, Backlight LCD - LED BLUE Upgrade Mod, LCD Screen Protector. All cleanup job on fader nice too. All the screws clean up to shinny new again.

•• My dislike in all this, is the new relocation drilling a top case POWER BLUE LED Button. 👎
•• My one more dislike of the SSD hard drive instead using (CF Card, is much Faster Reading). 👎
But all in all I still give it a (A++) for good effort in this clean up job. Some may like the new mods. But at lease give other people who are technical electronic incline idea to do this job. (I do my own job myself too).
Cf card on the mv sucks it condemns the ripping cd ability and mastering unless you drill the case.
@@shadowlaw9265 does not suk 🤔? -- I kept on my Roland MV-8800 (CD-ROM Drive) for using and ripping CD-R & still work great -- I don't know what you mean it condemns it cause it does not - (I have done no drilling in the case also) -> I used a (Syba Dual CF to 44 Pin IDE-PATA 2.5 Adapter) with a (Digigear Slim CF Adapter), & (SD Card To microSD Card Adapter) for using --> (SanDisk Extreme Plus 128GB microSDXC card). (It's fast loading now & Work's fine for me). I don't do the removable (CF card stuff or CF swapping). It's inside the MV case for safe keeping for me.

This is amazing. My “mixer” button only works if pressed hard, I’m wondering if I should open it up and replace the soldiering

It's very disappointing that this machine never took off the way it should have. I can't believe it wasn't developed more in the future. I would love to have a machine like this. I had a bigger hard drive. And at least 4 GB of RAM. 8 GB ram will be killer. This is the exact machine I wanted but I didn't realize until recently that I should have bought this a decade ago. I think the morning mpcx is cool. But this is still a better machine. If there were more outputs for certain things and inputs. I can't believe there's not a digital io on the MPC x. It says the machines functionality. I never really truly understood that it was a full-blown daw outside of the limitation of certain specs. And I never really understood that you could hook a screen and mouse at this. Because this is the perfect tool for an electronic musician.

Did you replace any of the tact switches?
Just taking the time to let you know the time you took to do this and document it with video is appreciated, thank you for taking the time to put this video together. It also encourages me to know the machine I have has people familiar with it's workings and there is a community that is active, I just got an MV and am thrilled to know there are people out there who know about it and servicing/modding etc, I've had many pieces of gear without any activity or service info out there at all.
Only question is what do you spray/soak the screws with? Did you cut down a screen protector to fit it or do you know of a good screen protector that fits well. Great job! I'm curious of the opamp, what it is and any difference with it. I've checked out opamp differences with other items, like blacklion mods etc, but not in this. Noise floor, loudness etc.

I need to fix one of the cursor buttons on my mv 8000. This is the part #3340034 it's a button set or just the cursor buttons that I need . If anyone knows where I can find one, I would appreciate it.
