This was Capcom's final chapter in the Street Fighter 2 Series and was one of the first games to feature the Super Combo system. Many players believe that this particular game is the most balanced and still has a very strong following. Tournaments the world over still feature this game as one of their lineup. - Zábava
@ThePsychoguy They changed the names to avoid a lawsuit from Mike Tyson. What they should have done is kept the original names for Vega and Balrog and give the boxer an entirely different name.

@weeman1364 In Japan, those are the names of the characters. They switched them over in the overseas versions for fear of possible legal problems.
@weeman1364 LOL it's the same name now. They still go by "Vega" for the dictator, "Balrog" for the clawed Spanish ninja, and "Bison" for the boxer. And the Japanese names are quite fitting - "Bison" = Mike Bison (Mike Tyson), "Balrog" for the ugly mythological creature (contrasts to his narcissism and obsession with beauty), and "Vega" for the star constellation which represents the devil in some mythologies.
