The Imaginarium: Science. Psyche. Myth.
Soulful scientific exploration of the human story.

Half way thru the vid, I was wondering if you were a student of Steve and Pauline. It just had that vibe. Enjoyed.
I worked with them in the past, but we had a recent parting of ways.
@@theimaginarium Well, that happens. Good content. I'll be checking in on your channel. Much success.
Wonderful! So glad to have you aboard.
5:39 thank you for some cause for critical introspection, fascinating. Looking forward to more, sir!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a great folktale to communicate the power complexes can have and how you’d engage with them when they’ve become extreme. Awesome “PowerBar” Dr. G! 👍🏻
Power bars and Jung for the win!
This was very useful, thank you!
You're welcome! Connecting fairytales to the psyche is a classic Jungian idea that now we can do better than ever.
Infp ❤️
Who? Me? 'Cause I'm INTJ all the way🤣
Here is another really good interpretation of rumplestiltskin czcams.com/video/73Olkr2y45Y/video.html.
Awesome! Thanks. There are SO many understandings of folktales. So many ways to look at them. The original person to equate folktale characters with complexes was Von Franz, her stuff is foundational.
@@theimaginarium Other than Marie Louise Von Franz (I love her stuff) and your books do you know of any additional good resources for interpretation of fairy tale. If you liked John's approach to Rumplestilkskin you might want to check out a book that him and his brother wrote "The Language of Creation: Cosmic Symbolism in Genesis: A Commentary". They abstracted out a metaphysics system of being (the best way I can think to describe it) from the narratives in the bible.
That sounds fascinating. As for other looks at fairy tales, check out Lionel Corbett and Murray Stein's "Psyche's Stories" 3 volume series. www.thriftbooks.com/w/psyches-stories-modern-jungian-interpretations-of-fairy-tales-psyches-stories/547693/item/26999453/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwyJqzBhBaEiwAWDRJVC4d8HxH_160HEXxWuBwsPDcI0IN3vqsjxy-_s1RaZrqokEpfPfZTBoCzWgQAvD_BwE#idiq=26999453&edition=14492499
