    I was lucky enough to come across this camera in near-mint condition for $50. It turned out to be one of my favorite cameras. The lens on this thing is gorgeous

      Hi there! Was wondering if you have any similar rangefinder cameras to this, and if the viewfinder size is an issue for you!

    Thanks for your Great Reviews. Unfortunately I missed out on obtaining your camera. Regarding the battery adapters, did you make them? Also with the battery alternatives, will you need to adjust the iso as the battery's voltage change? Unlike mercury batteries, the voltage remains constant throughout the life of the battery.

    Hey Man!
    I'm a follower of your youtube channel from Spain, your videos about the yashica´s really helped me.
    I have a Yashica electro 35 GX from my grandfather and Im starting to use it (I saw your video to get her cleaned up, thank you)
    The thing is: I want to try a flash on it but I don't have the yashica es20 auto and i can't find it so I don't know how it works because the other electro´s have a mode for flash but this yashica don't.
    I saw that the Hyuga 303G flash works well with the Yashica but before I buy this flash I want to learn how to use it.
    I don't know how to expose to the light of it because which shutter speed will the camera use? Will she know that she got a flashlight on?
    You are the only person that can solve this problem because I don't know about anyone with this camera.
    Thanks for your time and help.
    Really appreciate it.

    Are you in the works of making videos of the Yashica Electro MC?

  • @laurynasmotekunas7095
    @laurynasmotekunas7095 Před 3 lety +6

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the GX model has a maximum shutter speed 1/500th second, CC and CCN were slower 1/250th of a second and supported slower film just up to 400iso.

    Of all the yashica electro 35 cameras you reviewed, which one is your favorite?

    • @alexblaze8878
      @alexblaze8878 Před 2 lety +2

      The GL goes to iso 1600
      The GX is virtually identical but only goes to ISO 1000.
      Booth use silicon photodiode light meters where as all the other models far less accurate and less reliable CDS (Cadmium sulphide) light meters. They also both use the 40mm 1.7. All others use the 45mm 1.7.

    • @japanvintagecamera8869
      @japanvintagecamera8869  Před 2 lety

      It may be dirty and the clip is stuck, or something got into it. I have a video showing how to overhaul a Yashica GX, it shows how to remove the lens and ASA dial, you can easily see if there is anything stuck in it.

    • @japanvintagecamera8869
      @japanvintagecamera8869  Před 2 lety

      Choose a wider aperture and the shutter will fire more quickly, so there will be less blur. These cameras have very slow shutter speeds if you fire them in low light and a small aperture, the shutter can stay open for more than 3 seconds.

      @@zaqqwe697 I wondered this aloud to my partner the other day and their insight was that most of their friends, even now, had the most issues with getting their day-to-day photos to not be blurry, and they couldn't care less about the depth of field so long as the subject was in focus and not smeared.
