In April 2019, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) procured 50 units of the MAN A95 (Euro 6) double-deck bus, configured with three doors and two staircases for smoother boarding and alighting.
These buses were procured under Contract PT342 (Procurement of 3-Door Euro 6 Double Deck Diesel Buses) for ~S$30 million. In total, 100 three-door diesel buses were procured, with Alexander Dennis fulfilling the other half of orders with its 50 Enviro500 (3-door) buses. Both bus types are expected to make their debut in 2021 (delayed from late 2020).
This is the sixth batch of MAN A95 (or MAN ND323F) buses supplied for Singapore’s public bus industry. The first unit entered service on 28 January 2021 with Go-Ahead Singapore, operating on Bus Service 83.
Prior to the introduction of these 3-door buses, a one-off MAN A95 (3-Door) Concept Bus was commissioned by the LTA. Bearing the registration plate SG5999Z, it was first exhibited to the public in March 2016, and underwent revenue service trials with Tower Transit (Mar-Sep 2017) and SBS Transit (Apr 2018-Present).

Off topic: But i think its about time for lta to purchase new buses. I am pretty sure the Citaros in lta storage are in preparation of more E4 Scanias retirement. Also 3 ex TTS MAN A95 E6 B2 buses recently went to ulu pandan, guess they are already preparing to retire the remaining 22 CDGES left in revenue service with a chance it might be July onwards☹️Btw as of tdy only 22 CDGES officially remains in the whole of SG, of these 22, 20 are still in service/spare bus while 2 are training buses. The ones that were laid up are now all gone and none of those were preserved😭Time is running out for the remaining, they could be gone even before 2023 especially with all the things that is happening, hope at least one get saved, they are unique to sg and possibly the rest of the world(CDGE bodywork)
Lta literally be stealing buses from other operators instead of buying more while sbs keep swaping their MAN A95 & B9TL WEG2 across all services(One of my Svr 50 perm, SG6207U got transfered to 410W😡Bet a WEG2 B9TL will take over its spot on 50💀)

Honestly, I love the look of the bus, but I hate how theres an elevation for the third door, on the other hand the Dennis bus...good design but I dislike the look. No offense ah guys, just personal opinion
