Thats the concept that work for my hair every body dont know how to do this it secures the loc if you have fine hair. Awesome job 💚💐🙏🕊️
It looks good. She has thin hair and she had bald spots. So it remains to be seen how it ages. Lighter weight shorter locks are best for thin hair. But your work looks great and you did your best with what you had yo work with.
I agree 100%. Believe it or not she wanted me to make them longer and fuller. Smh I had to drop her as a client. Even doing this was too much
@@LeyLocs omgreatness I have been there and I agree with you on dropping her because baby I don’t let nobody make me tarnish my professionalism for there impossible wants. I am gonna do what’s best for your hair and if that’s not ok for them they can skip to s’mady else. I love what I do and healthy hair is more important to me. Love ya videos @Leylocs❤️

Trust..if you try this method you are going to be very upset with the results in a year. I install microlock/sisterloc extensions (and I'm probably one of the IG stylist you are referring to lol..i actually charge more) and trust me..WRAPPING is the number one "no no" when it comes to these type of installs. It weighs down the hair and is a death to your hair follicle. And if you want to trim your hair then the whole thing unravels.

I have extensions and they are to the lower back . They are just starting to loc but started out as knotless boxed braids

The back of the head hair seems so thing and fragile , has any of her locs fallen off do you recommend adding the locs on those softer thinner perimeter areas of the head ?
I don’t recommend this method especially with this type of hair
Do you retwist regularly as her hair grows out? Or will she use the needle as it’s a braided base?
She has a few ways to maintain. Retwist, retie, or rewrap her roots. My suggested way is to retie.
Will they eventually turn into locs as your locs start locking? I’m looking to add extensions but I’m scared to in fear of them not locking .
Yes but this isn’t my favorite method
Yeah but how was the maintenance done for keeping them loc palm roll are retighten
You could palm roll or interlock but I don’t recommend this method to install loc extensions

@@empresscocoo that part is a little tricky. That client and myself choose to do root rewrap a instead of retwists. I will be posting videos of root rewrap but not sure when I can get a retwist one in.

Oh ok so u just add to make the inches longer but u have to get several packs which is a lot of $$$
Locsanity wants 116.00 for 4 small packs which leads to one whole pack of vivica fox

Does this hurt? I have soft locs and they hurt so bad even after 5 days I have to take them out
Depends on how tight it’s wrapped but I don’t do this method anymore. It’s not my favorite for permanent locs
Enjoyed your video but I have 6yr old locs they extend to almost the middle of my back and I want to add about 5 in. to my length could I use either of your methods?
Yes you could but I honestly wouldn’t add extensions because there will be a clear difference since your locs are mature. The best method would be the crochet method

My locs are somewhat micro....I started out with interlocs and 2 yrs ago I started puttin them together but they are still really small....I just want to add some length for the winter but wouldnt take them out cause I know they will eventually shed away

How do you handle new growth?
It can be retwisted or interlocked. Even rewrapped but have to be careful with that

Whewwwww. Not going to lie to you, if you ask someone to do it, I don’t be surprised if they said $1400+

This Is very unhealthy, with adding extension to hair you can only attach so many inches before you jeopardize the base!! Please don’t do this to your scalp.
That is my biggest concern. How to make sure that the loc extension size won’t weigh my own hair down? Also once your own hair grows out how to avoid possible breakage because the extension doesn’t match the new growth ?

@@vanessashaw5365 exactly. I always advise my clients of this before any install. For 4” of natural hair I don’t recommend going over 8” to give the your hair tone to grow with the locs.
