Finally tried this and I needed to stop by again to say : this method literally saved me. It’s so much less straining than using a crochet needle and it even takes less. Plus it makes the extensions blend in perfectly with my locs. I’m never going back to crocheting. Thank you so, so much for making this video

Well, I tried it and guess what? It WORKS! Mine are not perfect but I’ve only done ten and each one looks better than the last. It not only works but it’s very relaxing and the best part is I don’t stab my fingers to death and it doesn’t take forever. Game changer for real…Thank you soooooo much, Queen!

I love this method!!! I have small traditional locs but I interlock to maintain and my real hair looks like this… my extensions were made with the crochet method and they worked it fine. But as my real hair grows, I see the difference in the texture, I think I’ll replace my extensions using this method. Then I won’t have to remove them! Thank you for sharing!!
BABY...when I say you are a GODSEND!! You most definitely need your flowers! I'm flying through these microloc extensions. Almost at 100 in about 1.5 days and that's with me BS'in. I used a smaller knitting needle (plastic) and burned off the end to make it short to move faster. I also used a 3 and 4 point rotation with the hair to prevent the loop. Most definitely giving you props!!

I don't know why I didn't just do this method in the first place! I did this back in 2013. I could get my baby fine, baby find salt and pepper hair to loc. So I premade some locs and threaded my own hair through the human hair extensions. I took them down because my husband hated them.

Hello, this tutorial is the best tutorial I’ve found on this method. Thank you so much for providing the knowledge. How many bundles of hair do you think I would need for about 600, 24 inch 1 mm locs if the bundles are 12 inches each in length and 30 grams ? Again thank you so much for this info.

This is my second time watching this video. Because I'm gray I wanted my locs to have that well worn dry nappy look of crochet. Now after tearing my thumb up and only 1/3 of my head done I'm hitting the block and coming back around to rethink my existence. I'm transitioning micro knotless box braids into locs and I want to keep the spacing for the most part. I had interlock dreads for three years but damaged them due to over tightening and over coloring. This time I plan to keep these for the duration and need the transition to match the journey. I'm still contemplating crochet because I want to pull my natural shoulder length hair through the LOC as you would with faux locs and then interlock the connection point while crocheting the extension with my hair. So I guess a combination of the two⁉️ I may be making this more complicated....🙄

So many questions, how many locs did you get out of one bundle? Where do you buy your bundles? And can you interlock into one inch hair? I love your work thank's for sharing.
😀 I get about 40 locs out of the straighter hair texture that’s on my website leylocs.com and about 30 out of the bulk hair from exyhair.com. 1 inch hair will be rough to interlock into. There may be slippage afterwards

Hey! LOVED to see this method! I have small traditional locs that I maintain with interlocking. My hair looks like these locs sooo I'm going to replace my extentions with this kind. Do you suggest shampooing the bulk hair prior to making the extention??
Oh nice! I suggest soaking in apple cider vinegar and water to rid of any chemicals.

I have a question. Would it be easier to take Afro hair on the weft and interlock it on the weft? That way you have your length and don’t have to deal with those tiny pieces. Then just cut the locs off the weft when you are done?

Well looks like I'm late, but I'm glad it was never!! I was going to buy some but this looks so easy. And now they have longer loose kinky bulk hair, have you tried those?

I was able to make the locks with your tutorial (with that looser kinky hair), but I couldn't get it to attach to my hair well? I tried your interlock method of attaching the extension to the end of my short lock (I combed it out on the ends) but, it didn't want to stick. I was wondering if the longer looser kinky hair was not kinky enough? @@LeyLocs

It can but there may be some unraveling. It’s better when the texture has a little bit of kink to it
Im gonna try it with synthetic long jamacian hair. It seem like it would be easier with something long like braiding hair
Yeah! It will be because keeping the short pieces together are a challenge! I actually practiced with synthetic hair and it was much easier
