Peach Pit is a surfy indie pop band who apply a playful twist to serious songwriting. Their clean, complex guitar riffs and insatiable rhythmic grooves offset dark themes about the conflicted interpersonal anguish in the teenage mind. They round out this dichotomy with nostalgic textures, color-coordinated stage outfits and a strong affinity for normalcy. Revel in the sounds of summer with Peach Pit on Audiotree Live.
Recorded on October 17, 2017 in Chicago, IL.

I would like your comment but it has 420 (blazeit) likes so I can't
I thought the lead guitarist sang cause his face is the only one on Spotify. Reality shattered
Yeah, hes the face of the band but not the front man haha
In that case I think you are a cat commenting a video

I start listening to this band because of the bass lines
shout out to audiotree's sound engineer.
what a clear and catchy sound. thank you :)
The drum kit sounds perfect. That snare sound is amazing
You can so clearly hear the lead guitar despite his lack of cutting tone. I've always loved Audiotree's sound quality. They're so good.
i agree everything sounds stellar except the vocals being too low.
@@kmprssr6922 a tad, when they are playing loud. Also lead singer is very dynamic and sings very soft and quiet to powerful strong- just like their songs as a whole.
he wears the same exact outfit in every video i've watched in the past hour
Moon Thomas they all wear the same at concert too, no kidding
All four of them do, Pete's overalls are ripping (it's bad)
wOw mEmEs Hahahaha no way 😂
Neil has said that their intention was to mimic the band Kiss' consistency with costumes, to the point where the outfits themselves are almost instantly recognizable (but toned down to fit Peach Pit's aesthetics and style). The outfits are like a trademark at this point

Chris is one of the best newcomer guitar players of the last decade. Not only does he come up with tasty licks, fills, and solo's, but he can actually nail them live every time. I saw them in Seattle last week, they're great!
I was supposed to go to that show but had something come up last minute :((

thanks a lot for that band!
@1 2 he make the drum go drum drum stick st cliap stdrum sdurm
@1 2 yeah I was really thinking that the thing this band needs to break out more would be a less lazy drummer. Someone who really attacks the kit. This guy is letting the beat dictate things and not dictating the beat.
It's verging on being slacker rock. Pavement-esque. The 'lazy' drumming that sinks into the malaise is literally part of the genre. Plus I'm a fan of almost every band you've listed and I wouldn't say ANY of them having extremely proficient or well-reputed drummers bar Incubus. You're sounding awful pretentious to be coming out with names like Foxing and From Indian Lakes who aren't doing anything more special with their rhythm section than Peach Pit really.
It's 2022 , Being so normal is to this day my favorite indie album. Private parsley still hits me every time.
In 2023 I fully agree 😭
I had fun for 38 minutes today.
what about the last ten seconds tho?
Sydney Brewster they were sad that the video was ending haha
Good for you 👍🏽
who likes this version of Peach Pit better than the official audio??
The bassist's harmonies were so spot on
Audiotree brings out the best in everybody, all their recordings are just amazing
Audiotree has a some fine sound engineers

Thanks for replying because you reminded me of this awesome session!! Happy listening, friend! 🙏🏻🎶
@@TheCloud785 Dude, I absolutely love this set. It;s amazing. The first song I heard by peach pit was peach pit and it instantly blew me away. I had a girl learn harmony and sing it with me. I med a colleague who knew about them through an ex partner. And he was from Sydney in Aus and I'm from Adelaide and we both live in Brisbane. These guys do not get enough credit IMO but I guess everything takes time.
My favourite song order probably goes: Tommy's Party:Being So Normal:Private Presley:Peach Pit:Seventeen:Cut the Guillotine (faster version):Cut the gillotine (slower version): Did I make you cry on christmas day. Approximately.
What I like about Tommy's Party is how it builds to a climax; this idea that it could be a friend of yours (male or female) (bud - 420 reference) but at the same time it could be an ex lover of yours. And you could extend that even further to say it could be interpreted by any person of any sexuality if you're creative enough, and I'd love to ask him if it was intentional. I think that it's likely intentionally written to be ambiguous as to whether it was his friend (bud), or his ex-partner when he says "hey there bu-ud how'd it go, last night, i'm sorrry to have ditched out but I was pretty hii-ii-ii-igh, heard from lesley that autumn stumbled home..."
Maybe I will when I have some more time, Cheers!
Peach Pit is my favorite band. I’ve seen The Rolling Stones, Queen + Lambert, Elton John, McCartney, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles all live, Peach Pit has been my favorite show.
It's been a long season through this rotting fruit with you.. 5 years and I am still here! Will this session ever not be so good? Cheers folks 🙏🏻🎶
