New England Dancing Masters - Teaching the Circle Waltz Mixer

This is Part I (Part II is "Dancing the Circle Waltz Mixer". Peter Amidon is leading this traditional dance from the New England Dancing Masters (NEDM) book/CD collection "Sashay the Donut". He is joined by NEDM's Andy Davis, Mary Cay Brass (black top) and Mary Alice Amidon (white top). The Circle Waltz Mixer is our adapted version of "The Family Waltz" with origins in Sweden. We replaced the short partner waltz at the end of each sequence with a two hand turn. The dance can be done to any Waltz (it works best not to double the A and B sections). We are dancing it to "In Continental Mood" by Andy Cutting from the "Sashay the Donut" accompanying CD.
