“Short printing” rumors are just copium for “investor bros” when the market starts to look saturated

a brand new set and a set from 2-4 years ago which is out of rotation and out of print are not great to compare. That being said, nothing from sword and shield's first third has anything exciting. You have to imagine holding these boxes for a long time ties up your money. At one time the middle of the era got way printed. I remember seeing $75 battle styles, $80 chilling reign, $90 evolving skies, and they dropped fusion strike at the same time. Totally overdone. Drove lots of people away. Its taken this long and still the only thing that I would say has performed beyond what you might expect is evolving skies because its the best set and most dersired set. Singles are a bit all over but many things are still bleeding as pandemic collectors dump their collections. Outside of evolving skies sealed product, everything seems expected, but far from What I'd call "really well". If you wanted to invest in sealed, I'd have gone back to sun and moon. But even then you'd have to pick and choose the right sets. current card sets besides 151 are taking a beating, which for me is good. Cheap singles means cheap master sets!
Roaring Skies saw one of the largest reprints of any set. It took years for it to even recover to MSRP.

Having collected and played a little during the XY era, it still baffles me that the "solution" was to print Roaring Skies into the ground instead of making a Shaymin EX box.

pre-orders can be cancelled on the store end for multiple reasons.
Idk about others, but as a very small seller I stopped ordering sealed product this year, my small local group isn't buying nearly as much (may be a region issue for me) and trying to sell online without something to set you apart from anyone else price is only variable buyers can look at and seeing prices below what I pay at least after fees considered it didn't make any sense for me anymore. I am sure other smaller sellers are in same boat, and possibly seeing less being "muddled" out to us smaller guys not buying anymore.
I got a BB for $103 on TCG, free shipping. $111 after tax… seemed like a decent deal for a brand new set… anything around $100 or less is a pretty good deal. I know some sets get to like 80-90 for a BB but that’s not gaurenteed. I’m good with 1 at $111 shipped and taxed. 🤷♂️
did u receive it because I'm debating on buying the temporal forces box for preorder but I haven't used this site before so just need some reassurance.
I was able to order a few booster boxes for under 100 usd a box. Opening them then moving on, SV era isnt worth buying a ton. rip a few and buy singles later if you want.
We all know in a month from now, after release, we'll see prices below $100/box 🤓
Don’t get why these people sell for a loss before they even get the product
they said paradox rift was short printed, I just snagged a case for $80 a box. Preorder prices for many places were below $95 for it too. Even at $75 a box back when they reprinted base set S and V, nobody wanted it from one place I saw. I don't trust distribution to be honest. They are struggling to move product I think. Maybe there is a tiny bit less, so i think they use that to scare monger into stores FOMO buying. I think they are all mostly still not taking in new clients at the same time. Still to burned by all the scummy fly by night online stores, so none of them are touching that, maybe for another few years too. Kind of a weird situation for everyone. Must be as hard as ever for physical stores. Could distros perhaps be holding back on their smaller clients?
Distro has always given more to bigger accounts. It's how they make sure they keep buying from them.

Some resellers and retailers are idiots...I've never sold anything at a loss online or in my store. Absolutely no reason too.. they shoot themselves in the foot on this every single time lmao
They need to make one print run of these. Product is piling up in stores. Pokemon desperately needs an evolving skies set equivalent for scarlet violet.
For the most part there has only been one print run…
Base set Scarlet and Violet is the only one that got reprinted.

there are a lot of people jumping into the actual game. A regular iono card went as high as $2-$3. Jet energy is there now and rocketing in price. Just some trainer cards, that only happens with players.@@PolloMarcko

Idk y people pay the high prices on tcg player. I got 2 cases for 570 shipped each. Tcg player always has the highest prices.

another paradox rift tier set tbh so far paldea evolved has been best main set in this era i don't think this era will have any evolving skies tier sets unless they create a new rarity the illustration rares/sirs aren't cutting it but they are far superior too early half of sword and shield and all other eras so far keep that in mind in terms of artwork.
They need to bring back gold alt arts like the ones from the special set from last year

No, he is trying to get you to buy the product, nothing is short printed when Pokemon owns the printers
this set is a bigtime pass for me
temporal chase cards are lacking... no popular pokemons just weird legendary mons. Pokemon company knows if it aint zard, ray or lugia might as well short print it because no one will buy it beyond opening week.
They put cards like gengar in just for people who think it's lacking. It's the only time you'll be seeing these paradox pokemon before they move onto something else

Facts and it’s still barely $15 a pack. I will say down the road 5-10 years from now we’ll probably see those boxes at the $1k plus mark easily
