  • In this video, we learn about process capability indices including Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk. We also learn how to calculate these values in Minitab for normal and non-normal data.

Hi, great video! your pace made it easy to follow and thank you for taking the time to explain each step in the process. I do have one question though.. when you were finding the best fit to non-normal data, the weibull and 3-parameter weibull were decided as good fits for the data based on the p-value. My question is, why was the the Weibull distribution selected instead of the 3-parameter Weibull distribution when performing capability analysis even though the p-value for the 3-parameter Weibull was higher?

few questions towards the explanation here
Why used 5 under USL for Non-normal capability analysis
Should have also explained when Weibull distribution is not applicable as Box-Cox and Johnson transformation for consideration and when performed the transformation of the data how to interpret or use that data.
Not Clear explanation for "How to improve the Cpk value"
