  • In this video I will be talking about control charts including X-bar chart, R-chart and I-MR chart. Control of the process average or mean is usually done with the xbar control chart. Process variability can be monitored with either a control chart for the standard deviation called the s-control chart or a control chart for the range, called an R control chart.

    Hi Bob,
    Thank you for your tutorials.
    I'm working on qualifying a new system for my electrode process line. Currently I'm collecting repeatability data for the total amount of powder material that it will transfer to the slurry mixer. Any feeback?

    In your example you measure the length of the cam shaft. If I were interested in the min and max diameter of each cam, would I be examining R and x for each individual cam or as a single group ?
