but I want to watch it... right meow.
🤣 meow too .
good timing, i just setup bf 4.3 yesterday lol, still going to watch all your good content
Nice 👍!!! Ready to learn something today!
Hello, can this procedure work for a custom made flight controller board with STM 32 meant for an Octocopter tuning
This was so good. It is exactly like you said, most videos are focused on a specific build and skips over some parts. I learned so much from this. Thank you and I am looking forward to the rest!
Been mostly winging it in between what I've learned from other videos here and there, so this is an awesome video and series. I've already learned a thing or two about betaflight so it's most appreciated.
Its always nice and get the lowdown on all the options and features from someone with years of experience. Awesome! Wish I had this video 8 months ago when I started flying. Despite already knowing enough to get my quad in the air - I still learned a ton.
Joshua, this is fantastic, this is the info. I’ve been wanting to know for a long while now, knowing what all the bits of info. that I’ve always just skimmed over and didn’t understand makes so much more sense now, and helps me understand BetaFlight in a way I’ve never known. Thanks so much. Got to go over to part 2 now. 👍👍
Joshua, this was SO helpful! I'm fairly new to FPV drones, and having you walk me through this was invaluable!
Very timely and informative. Wish I had seen this 2 years ago…and I am going to learn something. Keep up the tremendous work, JB
@Joshua Bardwell I have been learning and watching your videos over 2 years, and Im glad you created a series like this is so helpfull and keeps us updated. Thank you for your teachings FPV Quad Master🙏
I love this series so far JB!! With the first one you helped me get my first build loaded up with 4.3!! I've watched your channel for over a year now and just finished my first build a few days ago. I was a little bummed cuzz I couldn't get my brand new FC in boot- loader mode. After watching your vid, I realized I wasn't putting it in boot for the driver fixer, which finally worked and now I've been ripping up the beach and diving hotels with my first build and can't believe how good it flies! Thanks for everything you do! Thanks to your channel and your discord I can now say I've built my own quad!! Itsblunty has been supper helpful on discord too!
Awesome! Awesome!! Awesome!!! I think you can see that this series is and will be awesome and amazing for us to FULLY understand Betaflight. I'm sure like many others, I avoid using some Betaflight options because I don't fully understand them. This series illustrates and illuminates what Betaflight has to offer. Thank you for all your time, efforts and discipline in making this series!
Hands down, this is the most informative tutorial on YT. Thank you so much ❤
Thanks a lot Joshua for all the amazing videos on your channel, I just completed this playlist for my first ever drone that I built, probably couldn't have done it without your work
Wow!! What an amazing, professional and profound work you are doing here to the FPV community. Absolutely stunning job! I wish I had such a detailled video approx. 3.5 years ago on my first build. I am sure that this series will be the 'manual' into FPV for bew pilots. Congratulations and a big THANK YOU!! 🔥🙌🔥
many thanks Josh, saving me so much time with all your videos. You're amazing for all the work
Nice one Joshua all your videos are so informative and a massive help to the BF community this will be a great series to all.
This video has and still is working miricals for me. I can now understand what my quad is telling me which allows me to make necessary changes/adjustments during my flights. It's also made flying more fun because it allows me to be even more engaged during my long-range flights. I'm not just alone for the flight but flying which makes it even more enjoyable. Thanks for making me a pilot!
Man, I am pretty new in FPV, but your videos are reaaally helpful. Thank you so much for your time and efforts!!!!
This is the most informative YT channel. Very well done Joshua!!!
I’ve been in the hobby for three years now but I still struggle with the computer side of the hobby. Thanks for your videos that help walk me through and get me back in the air!👍🏽🤙🏽😃
Have not flied for a few years, getting back into it super useful to review, thanks JB!
You are such a good human for making this series. THANK YOU!!! On to Episode 2!!!
As usual JB youu go above and beyond explaining everything to your best abilities that i knw of!!.. thank you for alll the time n effort you put into your content.i hate tv controll typing soGod bless !!
I just started watching this channel and I love your videos. Great guides, great explanations, keep it up!
Just a simple thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us and making this a super fun hobby!!
Thank you JB. I'm in the air because of your hard work on this playlist
I feel like I'm making the transition from dji drones to real acro quads at the right time. I've been taking a little from all the CZcamsrs explaining Betaflight and no one has talked it in my language yet until now. This series will be a hit for sure. Can't wait for the other videos.
You can't imagine how much you helped me as a noob - and especially how much you took away my fear of all the options betaflight offers.
Your tips on DJI, Taranis, OpenTX and TBS are extremely valuable. Admittedly, it took a whole week to set up transmitter, goggles and copter, but thanks to your easy-to-follow tutorials and step-by-step instructions, everything worked the first time - or you referred me to another of your tutorials that solved the problem. Fantastic content, priceless!
Thank you so much for making it so easy to get into the hobby!
I can't wait to crash my drone for the first time so I have a good reason to watch "2022 Freestyle FPV Drone Build (DIY Kit For Total Beginners)" :)
i know that you get this allot... but your videos are simply awesome.! I got hooked on FPV when my son-in-law introduced me to the hobby a month ago. I am not going through the process of leaning on a simulator (uncrashed for now) and waiting for everything to get delivered from Banggood... Big thanks (and keep up the great work)
A lot of folks needed this, great content. I have a buddy I'm referring to this series and JB in general for sure.
The most comprehensive instructions for Betaflight I have been able to find. INAV users will also benifit as many features are similar. Bardwell does not presume previous knowlege so his videos are beginner friendly, yet he covers very advanced topics. He is a natural teacher, and these videos are always entertaining as well as informative. Thanks JB!
I'm excited about going thru all parts of your awesome videos!!!
Hands down the best betaflight tutorial ever!! Very beginner friendly and definitely kept my brain from exploding!! 🤣🤯 no seriously! 😳
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks a million for all the vids you make man. With your help and the advice from a guy who happened to be flying near my place I was able to get my only drone back in the air after weeks of being down. I felt like a dumbass for not knowing I had to check motor direction after swaping one but newbie is as newbie does 😅. Much appreciated
You’ve read my mind. Or you have been following my questions on Beginning FPv. Either way, this is why you’re the man. I was hoping to find a video or webpage that just goes through everything in Betaflight 4.3 and explains what it does. THANK YOU!!
Haven't flown since before COVID. Needed a proper refresher course on BF setup. This did the job thank you.
You are the hero of every fpv beginner.
What a beautiful explanation, we noobs are so thankful you’re here, otherwise we probably wouldn’t be for long
You are absolutely correct! Especially for a 70 year old antique. Thanks!
Thank goodness for a real 'save backup' button in betaflight for the cli! Awesome overview, worth just listening to even for long time betaflight users. I wondered about the magnetometer button, and for some reason I missed the 'options' section to permanently enable expert mode. Got that set now!
A friend of mine and his son are just entering the world of fpv quad building/flying and video series like these are an incredibly important resource, thank you for putting together this series. Betaflight, EdgeTX, BLHeli, etc are all pretty daunting to newbies and tutorials and video manuals like this are what's going to keep this hobby growing.
@@flat-earther they are firmware/software for other devices used in fpv quad building. EdgeTX is for radio transmitters and BLHeli is for ESCs. Also ELRS for radio receivers and so on.
It is a compendium of knowledge for beginners. Thanks Josh!
I started on pt 2, quickly learned to start at pt 1 lol. Thanks J.B. Your videos keep us sain.
Wow that's an exceptionally useful series of videos. Great job Mr. Bardwell!
Hi all, which type USB lead does my son need for this, is it USB to USB or something else?
So excited for this vid I liked before I heard anything gonna binge all the episodes now.
Thank you so much for these videos! My first time in fpv 💚
JB amazing tutorial and slowly working through all parts. 👍
Your Videos helped me build my FPV and install betaflight ,thanks alot for all these great how to's
so I'm new to fpv and only been flying for a few months now and this video just helped me out so much because I was having trouble getting my firmware to flash over. I thought I bet Bardwell will have a video on it and boom. That impulse rc fixed me right up
Fantastic, Joshua! Thanks a bunch! 😊
I hope Betaflight 4.3 is out soon!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Perfect timing. I just bought my first FPV Quad and now I wanted to learn Betaflight. This series will help a lot! I am ready for the next episode.
It has never been easier
@@TimeFadesMemoryLasts Hope it sir hasn't I remember whenever I first started this is like plug-and-play now you don't even have to do no tuning whenever I started you at the tune everything now I just do it just to get the buttery filled just to play around with it and something to do it's almost getting too easy with everything hell now almost everything's plugging play or you buy a put together and I like a little bit of challenge playing tinker and making it feel like it's yours
@@saittafpv5846 that’s why you need to fly Kiss!
thank you so much, you saved me from buying a new aio and resoldering everything. I accidentally flashed it and couldn't figure out why i cant put new firmware on it. turns out i just needed that impulse driver fixer. love your videos, so helpful.
Joshua I know this a older post by you but I have enjoyed your lessions very much....Thank You Steve
Brilliant Series! Only the comfort of having quads that fly to my satisfaction and laziness holds me back from plugging in the flight controller from an ill fated iFlight CineBee to start the process of bringing it back to life. All I need is a few rainy days to get started ... 😷
Thank you JB, your explanation is very clear. Keep spirit and healthy always. 👍😊🔥🔥🔥
Your such a legend jb thank you for what you do keeeping the dream of pilots alive my name is farshad maleky and your gonna get thanked today 🙏🏼
You're the man Josh! Thank you for this.
Awesome been waiting for this video all up to date
Now THIS is awesome!! Looking forward to watching and studying the rest of this series. Thank you JB for all you do!
Great video really cleared up a lot of questions
Great video Joshua, thanks for sharing
This is finally starting to make a little sense to me. Thank you so much from a 76 year old noob. :)
Best drone channel on CZcams
By far
Thanks Joshua bardwell
LOVE your explanations
Thanks you so much Joshua.
That the kind of videos i was looking for
Thank you Sir Bardwell. Been out of the loop for a few years and trying to make a comeback.
Thank you so much Joshua. I'm learning so much.
For Linux guys - you will need to do two things.
1. Make sure your user is in a group that allows full control access to serial ports. Typically it will be called something along the lines of "serial", "modem", or "dialout". You can discover this by running "ls -l /dev/ttyS*" - and see what group those devices are assigned to.
2. Make sure you have the dfu-util package installed. Use your Linux flavor package manager software. If the correct package is installed, you should have a utility in your path called "dfu-tool"
Thanks Eirik!
Thanx Joshua , this video Is pure Gold
Excellent content ! Greetings from Brazil !
Thanks for what you do. Taking me years to understand all this. Still have not got a smart quad in air
Great video as always bro
You are the man JB !!
Perfect timing Joshua thanks!
Get your kid a drone for Christmas they said. It will be fun they said. Jan 17 still nothing in the air... But i think were close. These videos are amazing.
Thank you! Awesome stuff as always!
incredible content as always
I'm new but not my first build, but my first build where I didn't get drunk thank you.
All the Details included. Excellent!. -Glad to have this comprehensive JB explanation of Beta-Flight 4.3! Thanks.
Thank you, I needed this JB...
My lord this would have been a difficult process with out you. Thank you again,
I always forget to hit the like button. thanks for reminding me :)
It's spelled I²C because it's a square (²). Given it's also known as IIC (Inter-Integrated Circuit); now the square starts to make sense.
I have needed this !!!! Thank you
Thank you for this, Joshua!
Doing first build and have to wait on a data cable now. Hopefully this walkthrough series has what I need or Ile have to e mail you. 100 times
Man super awesome video sir! Bought a Nazgul 5 v2 a year ago and still haven't flown it yet because of trying to figure out this beta flight stuff....lol
This is fantastic, just in time :)
6:00 awesome just my 5th download/update for my "bind and fly" setup.
Just thought I would say that watching your videos is not just educational and informative but fun and entertaining to watch. Could be your voice or tempo of your speech, not sure what but it seems to work for me! I am a fresh off of the boat newbie that has an engineering degree and decades of experience in RC with helis and RC cars, etc, yet I have to admit I have struggled to get some things working... what can I say.
The FPV quad market is quite different than RC cars, planes, even helis, it seems as there is much more to these things which is ok but wow, not easy for someone just starting out!
f you get a quad, radio, goggles, etc I have found so far that the item likely will not come with any instructions which forces you to hit the web to find the answers and that is not always as straight forward as it should be. Often I have found that the manufacturers own websites are missing data or are behind in revisions have instructions that are not helpful or simply don't have any info available at all further adding to the confusion and difficulty getting your quad in the air.
It is awesome to have someone like you with your ton's of knowledge and excellent ability to inform and instruct and I do appreciate it and I have purchased a few of my items with your affiliate links, they ar going to the places I plan to buy from anyway so it is all good.
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!💯
Professional like always.
Thanks! Great info.
Awesome video Joshua thanks again
Good video Joshua.
Oh sweet mother of god. Thank you so much for putting this together.
Thank you Joshua!🙏💪
Damn, that was cable!!! Thank you Sir, now I'm ready to fly.
I just found this. I was ready to throw it all away, then dig it out and try some more
OMG Thank you so much! This helped me restore lost gyro functionality after i accidentally hit 'reset settings' on the main screen. This software is not for the complete novice HAHAHA
Love these
