Kylie doesn't own the lab that makes her makeup, Seed Beauty (owned by the founders of Colourpop) is a company that has her contract. This isn't up to her, it's up to Seed Beauty.
I have been questioning whether or not to support this young woman but I found it hard to support someone with the $$$$$ she has and yet put the mediocre products outthere. With this, I'm certainly NOT purchasing any of her products.
What Kylie needs to do ,is go to school and learn about the inner workings of a business,she acts like an airhead!! Let me just say this.... almost all of this is a lie. It’s pretty clear that the research was funded by a company trying to get rid of Kylie cosmetics. When I looked this up on 17 different sources, they all wrote that the conditions were very sanitary and every employee was give the proper equipment for their station. If the people who researched this would have done their job right, they would have found that there are people in China making products that look exactly the same. These products contain glue and chemicals that hurt you. Kylie has reached out to her customers to warn them of these harsh copy products and to only buy from her website. She also added that they might be the same price or less expensive but it’s the safety that matters. This means that if Kylie didn’t care about her brand or customers, she would not take time out of her very busy day to warn the consumers. Now the copying of brands. As many sources have said, it takes months for the owners to come up with designs and names of their products. If products do launch and have the same name or same packaging, it’s obviously a coincidences. Also, the wages with the employees that work in factories who do not put effort into furthering their education have no rights to receive a high amount of money per hour. It’s simply not the right way to operate a business. When operating a business you put up discussions on insurance. When employees apply for jobs they are aware of this and do agree with it due to them working for the brand/ owner.
To the ones who got the chance to read the article in Forbes... you’ll know that she’s not a billionaire yet..and yes her stuff is so overpriced but most people keep buying her cheap quality things. I have never bought anything from her line because I don’t support her.

They're also selfish, especially with the thing mentioned here regarding the factory business. I mean, it's not enough that they are rolling in money, but they want to make even more buy selling cosmetics. On top of that, they can't even use a portion of the money they have for the sake of their factory workers, though it barely makes a difference in the amount of money they have. Fenty Beauty is so, so, so much better, because at least Rihanna thinks about the diversity in the world, as there are innumerable shades of foundation, concealer, face powder, blushes, etc to suit any person from any country

I live in Canada and the only place that i have seen kylie cosmetics is in a store called showcase.. which is a "as seen on tv" kinda store... so in my mind that if her products can only be sold in a store like that for infomercial junk then in a boutique like sephora.. well its a cheap and not worth it product

I remember I got a really bad burning sensation on my lips, I stopped using her liptints and started using Jefree Stars lippies and never ever have I had the same reaction. ( Also I have a couple of girlfriends that have had the same burning feeling ).

Not only do they burn, my fkn lips were peeling.... when I stopped I just used brown sugar with natural honey at home and in less than a week my lips were back to normal and smooth. No shade, just pure truth.

The FDA doesn't regulate cosmetics very closely. There are regulations, but it's put on the company to abide by them and test their products and all that.

I have a ColourPop product in the same shade as a Kylie Cosmetic product. The two are very similar, but wear very differently throughout the day, and ColourPop feels more drying on the lip.

I love colourpop and think a lot of their products are better than high end brands plus they are vegan and cruelty free but I do not agree that the matte liquid lips formula of colourpop and Kylie are the same. Sure, if you want a dupe of a Kylie liquid lip, you can buy a colourpop one and get great color pay off but what I’ve noticed between both these brands is that I could eat food with the Kylie matte liquid lip and it would stay on. It lasts a lot longer (usually 5-8 hours for
me) whereas, for me, in a colourpop matte liquid it would easily fade. I’ve also noticed the consistency of the formula in colourpops matte liquid lip is a lot thinner than Kylie’s so it is lighter to wear but I think this causes it to fade easier. Also, the Kylie liquid lip has a sweet cupcake scent to it which I love while colourpop doesn’t have a smell but I know some people don’t like scents in their makeup, so this is just a matter of personal preference. I also feel that Kylie’s liquid lip and even some of her glosses are more opaque and pigmented which, some people aren’t into a vibrant color on their lips, but that’s something I love in a liquid lipstick. For me, I’ve also noticed that Kylie’s liquid lip gives me a more plump and fuller looking lip while colourpops doesn’t really do that for me (and this is even without a lip liner). It’s sad to hear all these facts about Kylie cosmetics because I do love the quality of her products, especially that her workers don’t get health benefits and only receive minimum wage but I have yet to find a matte liquid lip from another brand that I really love that’s really pigmented, smells as good and lasts as long.
