This is the 1st HONEST review I have seen on CZcams in regards to Kylie Cosmetics. Thanks for admitting your mistakes and apologizing. You r a woman of integrity & I wish we saw more of this on CZcams.

not trying to argue here at all and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they all flip on Kylie in the beginning because the wands we're shit and the products we're streaky af. then Kylie addressed it, sent new wands to everyone and apologized publicly? and then now isn't this a new launch from new labs? that's what I thought anyway please correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I understood the whole thing
Alex - why is apologizing a bad thing. do you not say sorry when you're wrong? at least she can swallow her pride and admit she was wrong. Kylie's kits were shit before people brought attention to it. the applicator was garbage, the tubes were half full and the formula wasn't good. She changed her formula and fixed all the customers said they didn't like and now yes it's better. so back off of Nikkie for being a mature adult and saying she is sorry.
Tati Westbrook did a good honest review as well, but I agree.
She, Rosy McMichael and Tati are far my favorite beauty vloggers because of that, they're so honest (Rosy makes her vids in spanish)

Zoe Spruston yeah I don't remember her saying that either! In fact I actually remember Nikkie trying Kylie's lipkits on camera when they first came out and saying they were a "completely different" formula than the colourpop ones (cause people were already saying they were the same thing).

Yuriko Cardenas oftentimes make up looks different in real life than they do on camera, so that’s probably what happened there.
If you use the lip liners and fill in your lips it is not streaky, it lasts way longer, and it's less drying. There's a reason she sells them as a bundle
that's not an excuse to have a bad formula. especially considering you can also buy them separately
If every other company can make dark colors that are still wearable without a lip liner then so can she. It's still not an excuse to put out a product with a bad formula

Honestly, Nikki, they do know. The formula is almost identical if you compare ingredients. Ironically ColourPop has more lip conditioners in the formulas.
I respect you forming your own opinion, but you should also know the facts. The lip pencils are TOTALLY identical to ColourPop ones and, yes, they are from the same lab (Spatz Labs).
I have tried both and I beg to differ. Colourpop is crazy drying and fades faster compared to Kylie's. Not similar at all

there is a reason why kylie sells the lipsticks with the lip liner mostly. people already said she does so it's less drying, a lot of people did complain about them being drying when applied alone.
I agree with you entirely Irene! Colour Pop liquis lipsticks have such beautiful colours but are soooooo drying!!! I always feel like the life has been sucked out of my lips lol but definetly a good budget choice. They're not the same formula at all though.
the formula is not the same on the lips. do you know that georgio armani is made in the same labs as Loreal? does that makes loreal foundation the same as armani foundation just because they share most of the same ingredients? no...the concentration of ingredients is different.

I feel like ppl give her products too much credit. A $30 liquid lipstick IS SUPPOSED TO apply and wear well. Her lip liners ARE Colourpop repackaged. Its basic shit with a ridiculous pricetag. & Her $9 shipping to the US when she makes the shit in California is disgusting. NOT worth $40. You can just go get a true luxury brand lipstick for that price.

it's the lip kits that are $30. if you just buy the lipstick without the liner (which is an option) it's only $17. that's cheaper than most liquid lips out there.

Colourpop is the dryest liquid lipstick you will buy, plus the colors for the lipliners are completely different.

I actually really like kylie cosmetics especially there highlighters. I think there formula is really good and very pigmented. Some of her liquid lipsticks can be pretty drying for my lips personally, But some of them are ok so it really depends on your lips and which liquid lipstick you get. But like I said overall i really enjoy her products even tho I was skeptical at first, im glad i went ahead and tried it. ☺

Autumn Leonard there are also singles that don't come with liners, and plus liners are only outlining the lips not much of a difference is make when adding an outline on your lips

the reason the Kylie hype has sustained for so long is the very crafty way she has marketed them. Constant releases of new colour, unlike other brands that would have released them all at once. At the beginning making availability limited so they sold out immediately. Making them expensive enough so they're kinda seen as a status symbol. Not even sending them to a thousand youtubers like other brands do, so even the elitest of youtubers actually got them first. Honestly that's probably also why alot of the youtubers give her so much backlash and others go out of their way to kiss her ass. Who ever her business strategist is deserves a raise
