Singing for Mike Lawyer | December 2022

Our dear friend Mike Lawyer is finishing his race here on earth. Members of Christ Church and friends gathered to sing carols outside his home, as we did for his wife Eileen six years ago.
Toby J. Sumpter:
"Our God and Father, we thank you so much for our brother Mike. We thank you for his faithful life and faithful service to you and his faithful service to so many of us. Father, we ask that your blessing would rest heavy upon him as he finishes his battle here. We pray that you would comfort him, comfort his family, Rachael and Makiah, and the Durands. Surround them with your love and your care now. And Father, we pray in the days to come, he would hear those good words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Father, we praise you for him. We praise you for this moment. We praise you for these songs we have to sing for a moment like this. And we praise you for it all in the mighty name of Jesus. And amen."
