  • I have chosen six vocational colleges where immigrants can study for free. These studies are mainly intended for people who already live in Finland, are European Union citizens, or have at least some level of proficiency in the Finnish language. Eligibility to apply for vocational training may vary slightly. Immigrants are keen to apply for free English-speaking studies in the Helsinki Metropolitan area, where there are more work opportunities and city life in Finland.

      Thank you very much for the heartwarming comment. I do this for all of you and not for myself, but I still need an audience to grow and exactly that kind of support in the form of feedback.

    Hello everyone,
    I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with all my subscribers and viewers. I will soon be releasing a new video that will be particularly interesting for everyone, including non-EU citizens, regardless of nationality. You don't need to be a resident in Finland to apply. Additionally, I will include a list of schools where you can apply once their application processes are open. Stay tuned for more details!
    Thank you for your support and for watching my channel.

      Apart from Vamia which schools are accepting foreign students or international students without application fees and no tuition fees?

      @@JohnofFinland291 Hi John, so Non EU can apply to these programs for as long as they live in Finland? It does not matter if they're a spouse of a non eu international student?

    Thank you John for the information but the vocational schools you mentioned are targeted at people already residing in Finland.

      It's true and I made a video for those who have already immigrated and live in Finland. Some of my channel's followers live in Finland. 😊
      I'll be sure to inform my audience when new training applications open up. Additionally, I regularly upload videos on various topics to my channel. While I have a long list of ideas and topics, I'll be creating videos one step at a time. Thanks for your patience and support! 🙏

    What are the options for someone from abroad to come and register in vocational colleges in Finland in form of apprenticeship?

    • @JohnofFinland291
      @JohnofFinland291  Před měsícem

      If a foreigner does not reside in Finland and wants to move here to undertake an apprenticeship, the process involves several steps and important considerations. Personally, I would say it's easier to come to Finland to study and directly find work. Discussing apprenticeships briefly is challenging because it's such a broad topic. As a student in Finland, you are typically allowed to work about 30 hours per week. It might even be possible to switch from regular academic studies to an apprenticeship during your course of study. As a native Finn and speaker of Finnish, I have numerous options for vocational training. However, these opportunities can be somewhat limited for those who do not speak Finnish or Swedish, especially for those from outside the European Union.
      I have seen various campaigns where apprenticeships have been used to bring people to Finland to train as practical nurses, welders, cleaners and chefs. These have typically been collaborative efforts between different cities, companies, and possibly recruitment firms.
