  • This is an AMT 1967 Mustang GT fastback that was previously built by someone else that I bought off eBay. I wanted to buy the Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland GT upgrade kit. It was not in production at the time, and I don't know if it is now. I found this built up as a GTA with the resin parts on it and a 390 already swapped in. Just like I wanted to build!

Nice conversion. I am just now completing the AMT 67 Mustang GT kit, from the box. A pretty decent kit. Painted it in Tamiya Bright Blue. 😊

Great video, love all the details and info you share. I learn a lot. If I remember it, that’s a different story.

That's a great color choice and interior color combo! i'm really looking forward to seeing this come together.👍

Lookin' good! Since the beginning of time, the exact color of the ribbed panel seems to be a topic of debate amongst people. Some say black, some say charcoal, some say as cast with polished ribs, some say body color. There was a red Mustang near me in the old days that I "remember" had it black, but I have no idea if the owner did that or what. Most of our local Stangs were from the San Jose plant. Is it possible that different factories did different paint to theirs? Hey, it was the 60's. Anything was possible. Keep on chooglin'.

Thanks. Yes, I have seen two with black ribbed panels and they just don’t look right. Plus they could be easily added.

Too many do black interiors. Nice to see you're doing this in white, with the white stripe.
I'm hoping Round2 will do a GTA like this.

I've got both the 67 Fairlane and 66 Comet/Cyclone kits, and the 67 GT. I've been thinking of doing the same with the 390, but, good ideas come to many people! I've been thinking about putting the 289 into the Comet, along with the 390 swap. As always, I'm looking forward to completion of this build. Thanks. I guess I could do the same with my 67 GT-350 kit, making a GT-500.............

Awesome. I have those kits also but not built them. I have one 67 Shelby GT500 Super Snake started and plan a few more 67 GT 500 builds as well!

@@TheMuscleCarModelerWhere do you get 67 or 68 Shelby decals? All I have are kit decals. Would like to build a 68 GT-350 also.

Another Nice Special build -- You got me thinking about taking a harder look at Accessory Kits for autos with those two Mustang builds. Wanted to ask what's you go to stripper, where do you get your foil & does ModelHaus have a website? Keep the Vids coming you're Doin' Swell.

Thanks. I prefer Super Clean to strip paint. See czcams.com/video/FOSi1s0KLZE/video.html and czcams.com/video/GgtdhoqcMLw/video.html and czcams.com/video/hVcxI-5jTb4/video.html. I use Bare Metal Foil: www.bare-metal.com/bare-metal-foil.html. And ModelHaus tires is: www.modelhaustires.com/
