There are a ton of Michael Jackson covers out there, but not too many versions of this song, and that's why we like it. This is a favorite track from the "Dangerous" album for more than one member of Accent, which is interesting considering we come from all over the place. MJ co-wrote this song with Glen Ballard and Siedah Garrett. If their names sound familiar, it's because the same team wrote "Man in the Mirror" (heard of it?). Our rendition was arranged by our very own Simon Åkesson, who is also singing most of the lead. When he shared his demo of this arrangement, we were floored and couldn't wait to get to work. In fact, his demo version--with him doing all the voices--was so good that it was daunting to do it justice. We hope we did!

I grew up in boy choirs, sang in church choirs, listened to my Dad's old Singers Unlimited and Hi-Lo's albums; before I got into my own generation of music including MJ and Take 6. Its so nice to see the next generation keeping acapella vocal music alive and well and with a 21st century twist. I hope you guys cut an album and someday hope to hear you guys live. It would be a privilege. I'll be sure to buy the ITunes....as soon as I can get my 11 year old daughter to teach me how, rofl.
