    Love the truck it’s looking very sharp,👌👌
    As for adjusting the front torsion bars it’s WAY better to re-index them as opposed to just winding them down, if you dot punch or paint mark the bars where they go into the splined cups on the front, release the tension, then remove the bars from the splines, move them round two or three splines, depending on how low you go. then re tension the bars,
    This way you end up with the bars at normal tension( i.e way better ride quality) you are just moving the suspension arm in relation to the torsion bar,
    If you just wind the bars down you are releasing the tension in the bar and thus you will get a crappy ride quality 😉

      @@Horus_Works No worries, and it’s all totally reversible if you decide to revert back to stock height again, done this to my Courier and my Hilux too,
      I originally used 4” blocks on the rear leafs,but kept grounding out the u bolts on bumps, so in the end I did a leaf flip, ( flipped central leaf in the pack) and 2” blocks which gave the same ride height,but without the u bolts being so near the ground.😉

    Mate here in south africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦that leaf pack looks just about standard as we have them on our LWB double cab...👍👍👍on another note the reason why the location pin or bolt (if you wants to call it that) is sleeved is to avoid wear and tear on its shaft...chances are that full threaded bolt may wear its self and become weaker...ask me how we know 🙄🙄🙄 but lets see how it works out....you tutorial is made so easy...Good on you mate👍👍👍

    What size of blocks do you use?

  • @ManuelGutierrez-be1ci

    If you do a flip on the front it will lower it not raise it. It's riding on the bump stops that's why it's a ruff ride. It actually sits a little bit lower so just cut the bump stops and then look at where it sits before doing anything else suspension wise to it.

    The wheels need to tuck. Need some short front and rear shocks as well.

    • @deanmatheny5089
      @deanmatheny5089 Před měsícem

      Front yes back no, when adding blocks in the rear you're spreading the shock mounts location further apart, so when it's lowered it makes your shocks too short, this calls for the need of a longer shock. Took me a minute for my brain to make any sense of that lol

  • @marty3469
    @marty3469 Před 2 lety +1

    That looks way better being more down.. Never seen lower blocks so big before lol. Was wondering if it's riding the bump stops , if you cut them down the back might sink more? My courier 4x4 has small bump stops, maybe for the extra travel so if you're at a wrecker check them out. 👍

    I would suggest not adjusting torsion bars with the suspension loaded. Jack it up, adjust, lower and check. Repeat as needed.

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works  Před rokem

      Would you say this because of the stress on the bolt?

    • @tattookaleo
      @tattookaleo Před rokem +1

      @@Horus_Works Yes. I mean, not saying Ive done it and gotten into a mess. I did once try to adjust while loaded and I could feel how hard it was to turn the bolt, I stopped, jacked the truck up. I wouldnt risk possible corss threading or even breaking the bolt to save a little effort and time of jacking up the truck.
